Now reading: Chapter 284: Partial Awakening [ 7 ] from Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game, a Fantasy novel by Lukas142.

"Okay. Well, where exactly do you want to start?" she asked.

I thought over it for a mont, then replied:

"From the very beginning. You ntioned sothing about seeing the past, present, and future. What’s that about?"

She smiled at .

"Well, think of it this way. You already know what’s going to happen, but because of so circumstances, your mind automatically made a place for you to view all those mories. For one, that was how that ga ca to be. You were addicted to it, and so you managed to consu many years of knowledge and future possibilities through playing that ga."

"..."

I leaned back slightly, getting comfortable on the bed as I looked down at her.

"So why did I see everything through Kevin’s point of view instead of soone else’s?"

"Because he’s the chosen one. He’s ant to kill all the demons and restore peace to this world. At least, that’s what I think the case is. Whatever encounter the two of you had in so tiline is not sothing I am privy to."

"...I see. Then, when you ntioned one of us, were you referring to being one of the Divine Beasts?"

"Yes," she replied instantly.

Then, she t my gaze.

"You have your eyes. But you’re not fully awakened yet, so your hair is still not like ours. When you awaken completely, I’m sure more will beco clear. But until then, you have bigger problems to worry about, such as surviving this situation you have found yourself in."

That’s true.

Still...

Her words, although they didn’t seem like much, shook to the core. If this was reality, then what am I supposed to do? I was a Divine Beast without most of my mories?

Not to ntion, my life back then... It wasn’t real.

This was sothing I had never even considered. Why would I? It was so far-fetched that I was better off contemplating whether I’m so God’s grandson or sothing.

Since this was actually legit, then...

"How do I get my mories back? Or I guess, how do I get those mories back without erasing who I am now?"

The last thing I wanted was for my emotions to vanish.

I loved Clentine.

I wasn’t sure what I would do if that suddenly changed.

"Don’t worry about being replaced. Your identity is solid enough, and all those mories would just beco a part of you. Things you can recall at a mont’s notice. They won’t shape you unless you let them."

"Is that so." I glanced up at the ceiling.

"Did I reincarnate?"

"I believe so," Indra replied. "The way your soul is shaped doesn’t only include yours. The soul of Amon is still present, which leads to believe his soul wasn’t completely destroyed upon your reincarnation."

How annoyingly tricky.

"This all feels a little surreal to . To the point where I don’t even know where to begin or how to tackle this. More importantly, why are you the only one who can recognize ? I’ve t Rachel and Elise. Neither of them seed to feel any sense of familiarity toward ."

"You’ve t Ajax too," she added, ignoring my original question. "Ah, Astron as well. He beca your Guardian, did he not? I assud that was because he sensed who you truly are."

Hmm?

What?

"You said what?"

She tilted her head. "You’ve t Ajax—"

"No, no," I interjected and suddenly stood up, my eyes narrowing in wariness. "You’re saying Morr is Astron? He’s a Divine Beast too?"

"Morr? Ah. Yes. That was the na he went by when he decided to take over the God of Death’s role for a few hundred years. Why? Is that the na he introduced himself as to you?"

The mont I heard those words, I imdiately closed my eyes and focused on my chest. I knew sothing was off about him, but I didn’t think sothing that severe was actually the case.

So with that in mind, I recalled one encounter. Back in the palace, before the Demon Descent happened, Wilhelm and I spoke. During that conversation, Morr ntioned sothing about Wilhelm trying to implant so sort of fragnt inside my body.

He prevented that by creating his own fragnt. That was exactly what I was searching for now. And as expected, after just a few seconds of looking around through my heart, I found a pitch-black fragnt embedded into the core of my heart. If I tried to remove it forcefully, then it would likely detonate and kill .

Which is why I decided to do sothing simpler than that. I focused directly on that fragnt and sent it straight into my Mind Realm. Once it arrived inside my Mind Realm, I realized it had begun to twist everything around it, ssing with all the nice background I had created.

But before it could get too out of hand, I brought it closer to my Divine Energy, and after tapping straight into my Divine Energy, I used Atomic Destabilization.

My stomach churned and my heart burned. And yet, the fragnt was being torn apart. A faint trace of energy that belonged to Morr escaped. It seed like an ambient trace, as it tried to directly travel into my energy reserves and infect them.

But before it could even get close, my Divine Energy locked it down and disintegrated it too. In just a few monts, all that influence that Morr had over finally vanished.

And to top it all off, I quickly focused on the connection that Morr and I had. At first, I had severed just the ability for him to read my mind.

My patience, however, had run thin. I avoided all forms of subtlety, and instead, I slamd my Divine Energy into the connection. My mind imdiately got hit with the toll, causing to be pushed out of my stupor and back into the real world.

"Ugh..."

But the toll was greater than I had actually expected, as I began spazzing out on the bed. In the anti, Indra sat up and smiled at .

"I guess I should let you know how you can awaken yourself, Gabriel."
