While I was on the brink of passing out, she went ahead and stood up. Then, she walked around the bed to the table where there were a few pieces of bread scattered around.
So had mold, while others seed rock hard. Neither were practically edible for soone of her stature. Despite that, she bit into the hard loaf and tore off a piece. Afterwards, she glanced back toward and said:
"You’re a little stronger than the rest of us, just because you managed to absorb so of Rachel’s Divine Energy. Your reserves should be a lot higher too... But in order to completely awaken as a Divine Beast, you must embrace Divine Energy."
She approached and tried to give the loaf of bread. I refused, obviously not in the market to eat so rock-solid bread.
She shrugged, then nodded.
"Do you want a personal suggestion? Rather, I’ll just tell you. If you were awakened right now, you’d be able to gain enough power to practically bring the Demon Realm to ruin, as in this day and age, there aren’t many individuals who are capable enough to deal with the Divine Beasts."
Indra pondered over it for a mont, then continued:
"Demon Gods, maybe? Those beings seem very powerful, even for ancient standards. Regardless of that, they are people who you must deal with eventually, so keep it in mind."
Obviously, he felt like she was just dragging it out. Was she trying to wait for to regain my wits?
As if on cue, the strange sensation from before vanished, so I quickly sat upright. I brushed the hair off my forehead and glanced at her.
"So all I need to do is tap into all of my Divine Energy reserves, and that’ll be it?"
She nodded. "It’s as simple as that, yes."
Hmm...
"Okay... Then why don’t you answer my earlier question then? You did well in avoiding it, but I’d prefer it if you actually answered."
"Oh? What do you an?" Indra feigned ignorance.
I narrowed my eyes at her. "Why don’t the other Divine Beasts know about ? I am considered your sibling, aren’t I? So what’s that about?"
"Ah. Yeah... Unlike , who has a similar ability to you, they do not have anything. They are simply powerful and have expertise in their own regards. When it cos down to rembering soone past so much hardship, they all struggle."
Right.
Well, I guess that’s as much information as I can get out of her without actually triggering so Demon King or Demon Emperor outside this room. But I felt like it was enough.
Though, knowing that my identity was such a big mystery... It was sothing I’ve never actually even entertained. But then again, I wasn’t about to give up this information to anyone else, since if the rest of the demons knew I was a Divine Beast, they wouldn’t have treated so poorly.
I nodded at her, and then turned around.
Before I could even begin to walk, her voice rang out:
"You were faced with a decision, were you not?"
I paused.
"They wanted to pick a side. I don’t want to join the demons, nor do I care enough about the humans to lay my life down for them. I only care about Clentine."
Indra let out a chuckle.
"That’s precisely why you should choose your side carefully, since although you might not know it, Clentine entered the Demon Realm roughly two days ago. She’s been subtly tracked by Demon Emperors and monitored. Everyone knows that she’s headed straight for Helheim, and she likely wants to free you."
"What? She would never risk her life like this," I replied, narrowing my eyes.
But she didn’t say another word. Instead, she just remained quiet, as if letting make my own judgnt. So that was exactly what I did.
I focused on the energy in the air and jumped from one source of energy to another. Eventually, I was out of the city. It opened a bunch more opportunities for to lock onto the energies, as there was no suppression, so I began to scout the area at a ridiculous speed.
I wasn’t expecting much at first. But that all changed when I checked the western side of Helheim. Roughly ten minutes away, I spotted a figure riding a carriage straight to Helheim. It was none other than Clentine.
She didn’t seem injured, but she did seem pissed off beyond belief. It was to the point where she passively radiated killing intent.
Why...
Why was she being so reckless?
She knew what I was capable of, so why even try to rescue ?
I felt deep regret in my chest as my options were quickly limited to just a few.
I couldn’t even warn her that I was fine. I couldn’t tell her that she could just go back ho...

"Damn it..."
"So you’ve seen," Indra bemused. "Well, make whatever decision you want. Just know that if you choose wrongly, a couple of Demon Kings and Demon Emperors would kill your woman. Except this ti, she will die for real."
With that, she gave a quick bow and approached the door. Then, she tapped on the door, allowing Godfrey to peek inside and gesture for to leave.
I was still a little too stunned to say anything, but I did follow him out of the room, giving Indra a glance as I left. She helped plenty, and while I couldn’t sense much warmth in her tone, I knew she was most definitely not on one side.
She was neutral.
"..."
Godfrey led through the hallways, not saying anything either. Eventually, we arrived in a garden surrounded by purple roses. He didn’t seem like soone who was too into this stuff, but he still crouched down and plucked a rose.
He inspected it carefully, even giving it a sniff.
Yet once he was done, he turned toward with a smile.
"Make your choice, Amon."
