"You weren’t able to get it?" Adam asked in disbelief. "I thought if anyone could, it would be you. Perhaps I thought too highly of you."

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "If you have so much energy to talk shit, you’re better off going there yourself, you know?"

"I need to take care of Aliyah, so I’m unable to," he said.

Then, he pointed at my dinsional ring and added:

"Even if you don’t have a Titan’s heart, I guess making do with the other ingredients is still possible. It’s just much more difficult."

Mhm.

"Then do your best."

With those words, I gave him the ingredients he asked for, and then backed off. He didn’t seem too happy about my inability to get what he wanted, but then again, I wasn’t his slave.

If things were different... I would be taking my revenge on him for trying to use like this.

Despite that, I wasn’t in a very vengeful mood at the mont, as instead, I was more curious about the process of what he was about to do.

But it didn’t seem to be that extensive, as all Adam did was simply reach into his dinsional ring, take out a few blood bags, and then replace the blood with the water from the Fountain of Eden.

Afterwards, he stuck a few catheters into her veins and, to top it all off, began brewing the purified radish by the side, turning it into so sort of liquid that resembled a healing potion.

He was multi-tasking pretty well in that regard, and the liquid that had entered Aliyah’s unconscious body also began showing its effects. With every passing mont, her complexion beca clearer and clearer.

Not to ntion, a faint trace of energy was expelled from her body. It was Divine Energy, and since I was nearby, I managed to absorb it just by being near it.

But the amount was abysmal. If anything, I highly doubt what I just got would be enough to even count as a single drop of rain inside my reserves. Still, I accepted whatever Divine Energy I could get and, with that, proceeded to spend most of my ti just sitting around and absorbing all the Divine Energy.

By the ti all of the liquid was gone, absorbed into Aliyah’s body, Adam finally finished brewing. He stood up, and with the blood-red potion in hand, he went ahead and poured it directly into her throat.

Since she wasn’t awake, she couldn’t swallow properly, which was why Adam turned toward . He didn’t need to say anything, as I understood well enough just what he wanted from .

I helped out, pushing the liquid down Aliyah’s throat and manually making sure every crevice in her body was covered in it. Once it reached her stomach, the liquid fully dissolved, and the left-over energy began spreading throughout all her body automatically, almost like he didn’t need to help in the first place.

Though coincidentally, the spots he had helped to heal were the first to feel the effects of the purified radish. Her limbs grew back in seconds, and even her legs... her mangled organs. Everything was being slowly restored back to normal.

Everything except her eyes, which for so reason had so form of energy blocking them from ever being regenerated. I looked a little closer, and right as I was about to try sothing, Adam stepped in, putting his hand in front of my face and blocking .

"Her eyes are a natural process. If you intervene now, she’ll never be able to see again."

I raised a brow. "You do know there’s sothing blocking her eyes from growing back, right?"

He nodded. "Of course I do. But that’s not supposed to be ddled with. Just leave it be, and trust , within a week or two, her eyes will naturally start to grow back."

Mm...

If he was saying that, then it must be true. Though, I couldn’t help but feel like he was doing this on purpose. After all, he had only used one purified radish so far, and from what little I saw earlier, he had sent a bit of his own energy toward her eyes.

"..."

I see.

I let out a sigh in understanding, realizing that the only reason he was doing this was because he didn’t want her to regenerate.

Though it wasn’t out of hatred.

It was simply because he wanted her to stay here longer. In fact, he wanted her to stay away from fighting altogether.

My gaze darted between Adam and the unconscious Aliyah until eventually, I just gave him a nod.

"In that case, I take it I won’t need to do anything else here, will I?"

He smiled slightly. "No. You may leave. Though I would appreciate it if you uprooted a few trees and brought them back here. You see, I despise sleeping out in the open. I want to build a house."

I raised a brow. "If you want, I can steal soone’s house and bring it to you instead."

He glanced between and Aliyah, then coughed.

"W-Well... I suppose that’s doable. I know a few abandoned locations, so just get a house from one of them. I’ll owe you one."

"You owe twice, actually." I pointed at Aliyah’s eyes, my smile widening slightly. "I’m sure you know what I’m getting at."

"..."

He nodded with a slight frown. Then, he opted to no longer speak, as instead, he went ahead and gave a map with so locations already marked. Most of them weren’t that far, while one in particular was very close, only a few minutes away from here.

So since I wanted these people, including Eric, to have a place to sleep today, the least I could do was give them a house.

I folded the map and stored it inside my dinsional ring, then gave Adam a quick thumbs up.

"I’ll be right back then."
