Elias liberated Sienna from the beast queen as soon as possible and Sienna was glad to go. Rather than heading back to the Veythar ho, she opted to take a trip to Lost born city.
Without asking too many questions, Elias gave her the ship, along with the pilot, Kroton and Shalin. Within an hour, she was in the city which had been built by non beast n.
Sienna had never realized how strange it would feel to be surrounded by humans in a beast continent. It was both familiar and alien at the sa ti. The skyline shimred with flying ships, just like Clawspire. But, arriving here had made her realize that this world was not as advanced as she originally thought.
The streets bustled with vendors shouting about fresh harvests, children chased each other in parks and young n and woman handed out flyers that displayed genetically enhanced grain.
It looked like a normal human city in the mid 2000’s. Yes, they had flying ships, phones and great harvests but overall progress seed a little disappointing.
All in all, it was different from what she expected. There were no robots serving tea or skyscrapers touching the skies. There were no teleportation booths and the vehicles on the road were not all sleek imaginary alien fast cars.
But she was okay with it. Clawspire city was more majestic but it was also intimidating.
Sienna wandered through the marketplace, marveling at the odd mix of old new. She bought so things and headed to the apartnt where her family lived. It was in a residence area that had thirty apartnt blocks. Over ten thousand people lived there because the rent was affordable.
"Hey, isn’t that Sienna Miller?" An older woman shouted. "How does she have the courage to return here?"
Sienna, Kroton and Shalin all turned at the sa ti. She had no mory of who this woman was, or where they had t.
At the ntion of her na, many neighbors turned to look. So hurried to their balconies, bringing phones, binoculars, sunflower seeds, fans, or whatever they deed necessary when coming to enjoy drama.
The older woman continued, "She prostituted herself years ago by selling her body to the Fox lord and getting pregnant. Even after getting pregnant, he didn’t want her. Her mother was telling everyone about how her daughter secured a good marriage. Look at her now. Fat and unloved. What a slut! Have you finally returned to your roots now that you have been thrown out?"
People started to whisper.
Shalin bleated fiercely and Kroton clenched his hands.
Sienna laughed. "Your eyes are dripping with jealousy and your voice reeks of bitterness. Are you jealous because I a well fed to the point of gaining too much weight?"
So people laughed.
The older woman, with graying hair, thin eyes and a an face marched forward. "Sienna Miller, you bitch. What do you have for to be jealous about? I...."
Smack! A slap landed on the older woman, shutting her up imdiately. The woman was stunned and so were the people watching. Only Kroton and Shalin looked on uninterested. Sienna had dared to slap a beast woman, who was this woman in comparison?
The older woman recovered from the slap, but her anger multiplied. "Sienna Miller, how dare you? Have you lost your mind after leaving with beast n for so long? Do you think your status is on the sa level as them now?"
Sienna countered, "I don’t think, I know. It is a fact that my status is not on the sa level as you. The person that has lost their mind here is you. I don’t know you and you attacked . Don’t I have the right to defend myself?"
A young woman pushed the crowd and ca to the side of the older woman. "Mom, what happened?" she scread.
The older woman pointed at Sienna. "It’s this good for nothing forr best friend of yours. I just said a few words to her and she slapped . Everyone in the world knows that she prostituted herself. It was even revealed on her livestream. Why is she acting high and mighty now?"
The younger woman’s eyes flashed. "Sienna, do you have to take things so far? Why did you slap my mom? She is an elder. Even if you don’t like what she said, you could have waited until we were inside to say sothing. I would have made her apologize to her. Humiliating her like this out here is really cruel. We were once friends, don’t you have any love left for us?"
Sienna sneered. "If we were truly best friends like you claim, your mother would know about this. She would also not call a prostitute out here in public. Not just a prostitute but a slut. Even if she doesn’t like , she should have saved it for when we are inside just as you wanted to save my reaction for when we are inside."
"Hmph. So people can dish it but they can’t take it." Shalin said.
Kroton pointed to the older woman. "You want to insult our lady, but you don’t want her to defend herself. Dream on. You started this argunt out here in public so we must finish it in public."
Sienna looked around. Many people were watching the fun. Most were gloating. It gave her the feeling that her rise in status had not been a cause for community celebration. However, her downfall would be one.
Non the less, she had zero plans to be humiliated. She stretched her hand, "Evidence. You have claid that I prostituted myself, so hand over the evidence. If you cannot provide it, I am going to sue you."
The younger woman turned pale.
The older woman sneered. "Hmph, don’t think you can scare . My Susie has a picture of you walking into that room where the fox lord was staying. How else could a beast man of high ranking touch you if you didn’t sell yourself?"
People murmured conspiratorially.
Shalin laughed. "Are you sick? What does one picture prove apart from the fact that our lady entered the room? Do you what happened in there? The very fact that she had access to the lord’s room is proof of a prior relationship between them. I think you are just jealous because your daughter failed to seduce our lord. Susie’s face turned white and red.
Sienna’s jaw dropped. Was this the sa servant that barely said a word usually? As if that was not shocking enough, Kroton raised the frying pan and shoved it into Sienna’s arms.
