Slowly the light illuminated my retinas and I opened my eyes. The white room, simple, but incredibly familiar, welcod . Fresh air filtered through the window, and for a mont I felt calm, as if ti at this mont did not pass.
"Where am I?" I muttered to myself, still conscious of being a rough girl.
The last thing I rembered was being surrounded by the royal knights. After that, my mind was blurry.
Before I could ask to think more, the sound of delicate footsteps approached, the door opened and a woman in a white coat appeared. Her smile was soft, but there was sothing in her gaze that seed comforting, although at the sa ti distant.
"Oh, student, it seems that you have fallen in love with ," said the nurse in a playful tone. "But I’m sorry, I’m married," the nurse comnted.
She suppressed a slight smile, as if she was having fun making fun of , making these kinds of jokes. I looked at her face, it turned slightly red and I didn’t know how to respond. The truth was that since I ca to this world I have spent more ti in the care room than anywhere else.
"How did I get here?" I asked her after regaining so of my sense.
"The royal knights brought you," she answered calmly, without losing her smile.
"Ah..." an inaudible sound escaped , feeling my mind trying to put the pieces of what had happened together. "Also, here’s sothing they sent you." The nurse placed a bouquet of sunflowers in my hands. As she walked away again with fluid movents.
I looked at the flowers unable to process everything. The bouquet had no return address, which only left more lost. Who could have sent this to ? A fleeting thought crossed my mind: Aliana... or maybe the princess. But I quickly dismissed it. Aliana was direct, she didn’t usually beat around the bush so much, and the princess, would she really have ti to do sothing so personal?
While I was lost in my thoughts that flew back and forth, my eyes t with so smoky green eyes. It was a look that was watching .
"Oh, Cyan, how are you?" the familiar voice spoke.
It was Erwing. He was standing near the bed, his gaze fixed on . For a mont I felt uncomfortable, as if I was watching a statue co to life.
"Since when did you arrive?" I asked a little bewildered.
"So ti ago," he answered, his tone was serious, but with a slight softness in his voice.
"So why did you stay quiet all this ti?" My curiosity began to arouse.
"It seed like you were busy, I didn’t want to interrupt," he said, with a shy smile.
I sighed, lowering my head, a little embarrassed for not having noticed it before.
"Really? So you were just going to stare..." I reproached him, sowhat annoyed, but at the sa ti amused.
"Well..." he said, with a lower voice, as if I had said sothing too bold.
"Haah..." I let out a small sigh.
"Anyway, thanks. I’m better." I smiled at him, noticing traces of concern in his eyes. Erwing was a strange guy, but even though we hadn’t known each other for long, his gaze was genuine, sincere. As if he really cared about what happened to .
We talked for a while, the main focus still being the upcoming dungeon exam. Erwing seed more relaxed about it, as if these tests no longer surprised him, while I was not used to this feeling of growing panic, that day of the test maybe many would die, I had prepared myself the previous week to prevent this disaster. Even so, I don’t know what variables could occur. Trying to distract myself I changed the subject to other more trivial things, more everyday like life at the academy, the comings and goings of other classmates, but the idea that the exam was approaching continued to consu .
In the middle of that conversation, the door of the room opened again softly. This ti a completely unexpected figure had entered. Alia with timid steps, and hiding her presence trying not to make too much noise. She was carrying a small bouquet of flowers in her hands. They were not as large as the bouquet of sunflowers, but their softness and warm colors seed made to calm the mind and relieve the body. In her eyes, I saw so doubt, as if she wasn’t happy to be in this place..
"Soone sent them to you..." she said, barely audible, as she approached to place the flowers on the table near my bed.
I glanced at her briefly, noticing a slight blush that appeared on her milky cheeks, her shyness was disconcerting to , but also a little tender, then a spark of malice arose in my mind, a mischievous idea to tease her a little. But I quickly dismissed it, rembering what happened the last ti I acted reckless in front of a girl.
In the end, I didn’t want to get hit again. Still, I couldn’t help but think how adorable her rosy cheeks looked as she avoided looking directly at .
I didn’t say anything, but I gave her a slight nod of thanks, moving my wrist slightly in her direction. She responded with a slight smile, almost imperceptible, but enough to make feel like I had done the right thing by not doing anything else.

Ti passed without problems and no one else ca to visit , between the conversations and Erwing’s little jokes, which helped forget for a while about the worry about the exam. The sky was beginning to darken, the day was fading and the shadows of the night began to lengthen.
"Well, I think it’s ti for to retire," Erwing said, standing up, then said a few last words. "See you at the exam. Rember not to hurt yourself again."
I nodded with a slight smile. I knew and ignored any of his sarcastic comnts.
When the door behind him closed, I stood there enjoying the silence for a mont, staring at the flowers Alia had left behind. I couldn’t help but wonder why she had done that. Finally, I sighed, stood up, and started to head towards my room. I couldn’t waste any more ti in this place even more so when this ssage appeared.
