Now reading: Chapter 2009 - 2010: Old Mrs. Zhang Reborn in the ’70s, Refo from Transmigration: On the Gossip Front, a Urban novel by Qi Qi's cat.

Zhang Yu looked at Li Mu standing in front of her, especially at her bright smiling face, and realized that the Li Family must want sothing from her.

"The family is already separated. I won’t intervene, participate, or diate in Wei He and his wife’s affairs."

"Similarly, I won’t offer any financial support. How they plan to spend their salaries is entirely up to them."

"If they don’t have enough money, then they can endure hunger. Anyway, since we’re not living together, whether they starve to death is not my concern."

With Li Juan’s temper, not just the in-law family, even her birth family, the Li Family, probably can’t tolerate her.

Li Mu’s expression stiffened a bit at Zhang Yu’s blunt words. Visiting Wei Family yesterday made it clear she’s not easy to talk to, but this was a bit too straightforward.

"In-law, I know Xiao Juan is excessive, but Wei He and the two kids are still part of the Wei Family. You can’t just ignore them." Li Mu thought a lot yesterday, the best way was to avoid separation, or at least separate with so monthly family contributions so at least their daughter doesn’t worry about having money for als.

Care for them? "What should I care for? I tried before, did it lead to good results?" Zhang Yu snorted coldly, "I’ve co to terms with it, the kids are grown, it’s up to them now."

Life is so relaxed now, no need to rush to get up every day, no piles of clothes waiting for her to wash, no als for ten or so people to cook.

More importantly, no one’s nagging about what’s bad or good, "Since the separation, I’ve felt really relaxed."

"Honestly, I regret not doing this earlier. If I knew life would be this good after separation, I would’ve done it long ago." Zhang Yu continued saying heart-piercing words.

"Now I have ti to go fishing. If I catch a lot, I can exchange things with others. If I catch a few, I go ho to make fish soup. The two of us are eating well."

Li Mu watched the excited Zhang Yu and knew that expecting her to return to the past was unlikely, especially since Li Juan didn’t want to return to those days either. It was truly troubling.

Seeing Li Mu’s worried face, Zhang Yu felt even better. Li Mu had often made things difficult for the original protagonist, saying she was reluctant to relinquish power just to be the matriarch, and other such words, "As for Xiao Juan and them being young and not knowing how to handle chores, isn’t there still you?"

"Xiao Juan said it herself, compared to you, she’s far behind. They will keep learning from you, saying you’re such a good mother-in-law."

"You say you’re such a good mother-in-law, surely you must be a great mother-in-law. Xiao Juan is your daughter, so it’s perfect for you to teach her more."

"Everyone knows you’re a virtuous wife, surely you can teach Xiao Juan many things."

Without charging anything, the high praise was put on Li Mu, urging her to educate Li Juan. After all, she’s her daughter; a mother’s education shouldn’t anger her.

Li Mu watched Zhang Yu head towards the river with a more despondent mood. She was supposed to teach Li Juan housekeeping? Oh please, the past couple of days with Li Juan at ho haven’t made her want to leave, nor has Wei He made an appearance. It’s been quite a hassle for Li Mu.

Knowing her daughter likes cleanliness, but not realizing she likes it so much that she changes clothes daily and has a picky mouth that criticizes flavors, or she eats sothing she finally likes without sparing a thought for her siblings or even her parents and nephews. Anything she likes, she almost finishes half by herself.

Originally, Li Mu hoped Li Juan would stay at ho for a few days, then Wei He would co and take her, and the matter would be resolved. However, Wei He simply didn’t co, and Li Juan, who cares about reputation, didn’t want to leave like that.

The result is that Li Juan settled in at her parental ho. Li Mu once hoped her daughter would stay, to have night talks with her as there’s so talk that can’t be shared with n, much less sons and daughters-in-law, only with daughters. But now she just wants Li Juan to promptly return, as it truly adds to her troubles.

"In-law, you say Xiao Juan staying at the parental ho endlessly isn’t right. Comnts are spreading among coworkers and neighbors." Li Mu cut straight to the point. If returning to the past is impossible, at least bring her back ho, otherwise, life can’t go on like this.

These past days with Li Juan at ho ca with a lot of hassle. Though the daughter-in-law said nothing, she chose to work overti to avoid Li Juan.

Li Mu realized if Li Juan isn’t moved soon, it could lead to significant problems for the family.

Well, Zhang Yu looked at Li Mu, who was full of worry, and felt amused. See, just let Li Juan stay at the Li Family for a few days, and she will surely turn everything upside down, "You need to ask Wei He about this."

"You know they already moved over the weekend." Zhang Yu thought once they moved, Li Juan would return, but heard from Wei Ming that Li Juan hadn’t co back. She assud it was Li Juan, not willing to return. Could she have misunderstood?

Li Mu thought Zhang Yu was procrastinating, "Since Xiao Juan returned, Xiao Wei hasn’t been over." Initially, Li Mu hoped Wei He would co over, make it difficult for her a couple of tis, and then have Xiao Juan go back.

Although Xiao Juan’s actions were excessive, fighting isn’t allowed, especially hitting the face; girls care about their image.

They thought it through well, including Xiao Juan agreeing, under their pressure, but Wei He just wouldn’t show up, so Li Mu felt cornered into confronting Zhang Yu.

Oh wow, Zhang Yu truly didn’t know this. Honestly, quite surprising, "I’ve said it before, the kids are grown, they know what to do."

Despite lowering her stance this much, Zhang Yu still wouldn’t budge, "Zhang Yu, what’s your attitude? Are you trying to make them divorce?"

This accusation couldn’t be heavier. Zhang Yu waved her hands, "I an, as long as they decide, it’s fine. Your daughter hasn’t spared from complaints that I ddle too much."

"So I want to be less involved, to peacefully live my own life as a mother-in-law."

"I’ve said it before, a daughter-in-law doesn’t have the obligation to care for the elderly, as she’s not my child. It’s my son’s responsibility. Of course, if my son is unfilial and doesn’t want to care, that’s fine too."

"I’ll figure sothing out when the ti cos. So, in-law, don’t say I didn’t help now, and don’t expect your daughter-in-law to care when I’m old."

"I don’t even dare expect my own children to care, how could I expect it from a daughter-in-law."

Glancing at Li Mu, "Honestly, do you think when you’re old, your daughter-in-law will care for you, or your daughter?"

This question is indeed piercing, leaving Li Mu unable to answer, even with her own daughter, she wouldn’t dare claim Li Juan will be very filial.

Waiting for an answer from Li Mu that didn’t co, Zhang Yu laughed, "Well, that’s your answer then."
