Transmigration:The Villain Wants A Happy End Without His BeastHusbands Chapter 122: Your Rejection
Ningyan looked surprised by those words, but he smiled faintly. "You care about my happiness."
"Of course I do." Wuhen imdiately leaned forward and moved closer to him. He reached out and grabbed the fabric of Ningyan’s trousers, blinking up at him as he tried to put on a cute, innocent expression.
"What do you take for?"
For a mont, Ningyan wondered if he had been too harsh on him. It was... admittedly a little cute seeing the fox like this.
But Ningyan’s expression quickly darkened.
"You are not trapping again." His voice turned firm.
He folded his arms. "And like I’ve told you many tis before, if you want my affection, you’ll have to earn it."
Yan Wuhen’s face imdiately brightened.
The sudden happiness on his face almost made Ningyan regret saying it.
So Ningyan quickly added, "But I’m already happy with Lan ishan."
The brightness on Wuhen’s face froze.
"You can leave." Ningyan continued calmly. "Besides, I have enough beasts trying to kill already. You wouldn’t want to drag yourself into that ss."
He rose to his feet. "You still have your title. Your reputation. I know you’ve never really cared about what other beasts think... but those things still matter."
Wuhen remained seated for a mont, staring up at him with a strange, unreadable expression.
Then suddenly, he lowered his head and let out a long sigh. "They do, don’t they?"
Slowly, he stood. Now towering over Ningyan.
When Ningyan looked up, sothing in Wuhen’s gaze made his heart skip a beat.
There was sothing almost obsessive in his eyes.
"Why are you acting like you don’t know , Yan’er?" Wuhen leaned closer. So close that Ningyan instinctively turned his head away.
Wuhen didn’t stop.
"You left ," he continued softly. "Do you know how much that hurt? I was so close to death."
"And life without you... these past days and hours..." he let out a small laugh, "...has been awful. And boring."
His hand slowly lifted. He gently touched Ningyan’s cheek.
"I already told you before," he whispered. "I belong to you as much as you belong to ."
Ningyan imdiately grabbed his wrist and threw his hand away.
"I told you already!" His voice rose sharply. "If you want my affection, Yan Wuhen, you have to earn it."
His eyes flashed with frustration. "Stop making repeat myself. And stop looking at with those eyes."
Wuhen blinked. Then he pouted slightly.
"What eyes?"
Ningyan shot him an irritated glare. "I need you to leave."
Wuhen stared at him. Clearly surprised. "You really hate , don’t you?"
This ti his voice sounded calr. Serious. The playful nine tailed fox was completely gone.
Ningyan didn’t answer. Maybe hate was too strong a word.
But he didn’t want to explain himself either.
So instead, he simply turned and walked past Wuhen toward the door.
Wuhen let out a slow breath.
Then suddenly, a chain appeared in his hand. It glowed a vivid red-gold.
"Well," Wuhen muttered quietly. "I tried the calm way."
In the next instant, he spun around and threw the chain toward Ningyan.
The chain shot through the air and wrapped around Ningyan’s torso and arms before he could react.
Ningyan froze in shock.
"What is—" Ningyan gasped as he struggled against the chain.
Rage flared in his chest the mont he saw it.
"Yan Wuhen!" he shouted in fury.
Yan Wuhen walked over until he was standing directly in front of him, a sly smile spreading across his handso face.
"You didn’t really expect to just let you go, did you, Yan’er?" he said lightly. "If you refuse to stay with , then I have no choice but to bond you to ."
Ningyan glared at him. "You really can’t take rejection?"
Wuhen sighed. "Correction. I can’t take your rejection."
He raised his hand and reached for Ningyan’s face, but Ningyan imdiately tried to bite his fingers.
Wuhen quickly pulled his hand back and laughed. "That was close."
He leaned in again, studying Ningyan closely. "You have so much fire in you, Yan’er,"
Ningyan let out a furious grunt. "Screw you! Take the chain off!"
"You can’t leave , Yan’er." Wuhen leaned back.
Then the chain suddenly moved. Like a living thing, it began sliding around Ningyan’s body.
Ningyan froze as it slithered upward toward his neck.
Panic exploded in his chest.
He knew what this ant. He was about to be trapped again.
"No.. no, no, no!" His voice cracked as he struggled harder. "Take it off! Don’t.. please!"
For the first ti, the smile vanished from Wuhen’s face.
The panic in Ningyan’s eyes. The desperation in his voice. The way he struggled.
Normally, scenes like this would excite him.
But this... This felt wrong.
Wuhen slowly took a step back.
Ningyan stared at him in shock. "Wuhen!"
Wuhen imdiately waved his hand.
The chain disintegrated into glowing fragnts and vanished from around Ningyan’s body.
Freed, Ningyan stumbled backward and fell to the ground, breathing hard.
Then he looked up.
The hatred in his eyes made Wuhen’s chest tighten painfully.
"Stay away from !" Ningyan snapped as he pushed himself to his feet.
His eyes flared with a white-gold glow. "I don’t want anything to do with you anymore."
His voice trembled with anger. "And I never want to see you again."
He pointed at Wuhen sharply. "You have two large ears, so use them and listen carefully."
His eyes burned. "If you co near again, I will make you regret existing in the first place."
Wuhen stood there silently.
Without another word, he turned and walked out of the chamber.
The door closed behind him.
Ningyan let out a frustrated hiss. "I’m so stupid!"
He slapped a hand against his own forehead.
Suddenly, a sharp pain stabbed through his chest.
The white-gold glow in his eyes flickered. Then shifted into an ominous purple.
Ningyan dropped to his knees with a sharp gasp. "Ack—!"
At that mont, a green portal opened inside the chamber.
Lan ishan stepped out and froze.
Shock spread across his face when he saw Ningyan collapsed on the floor. "Ningyan!"
He rushed forward imdiately, lifting Ningyan into his arms before carrying him to the bed.
Carefully, he laid him down and sat beside him.
ishan cupped Ningyan’s face, his erald eyes filled with worry. "Ningyan."
Ningyan’s eyes were squeezed shut as he cried out softly, whimpering in pain.
ishan could hear his breathing growing uneven.
"Ningyan," he called again, his voice tight with concern.
But Ningyan seed barely conscious. The pain kept building.
It felt like hours passed.
Then ishan quickly pushed a pill into Ningyan’s mouth. "Swallow it."
Ningyan did so instinctively.
Within monts, the pain began to dull. Exhaustion washed over him like a heavy tide.
He vaguely felt soone gently stroking his face.
A warm voice calling his na sowhere in the distance.
And then, everything faded into darkness.
Silence.
The pain finally weakening as sleep took him.
