A flash of lightning streaked through the air, and the teor Longsword at Su Ziyu's waist instantly unsheathed itself, swirling around his body before directly slaying the three ghostly figures.
These were very low-level ghosts, often seen hovering near the Vermilion Bird Dao before.
"A living person!"
"at!... I'm so hungry! Let eat your flesh!..." A giant head ca whistling towards him.
It was the frequently-seen flying head from before.
Only this flying head seed much larger, with a diater of about one and a half ters. A single horn grew on its forehead, and its eyes glead red as it pounced toward Su Ziyu with its bloodthirsty maw open.

With a gesture, Su Ziyu recalled the teor Longsword back to his palm. His body landed with a dull thud, transforming into a shadow as he charged forward.

A spray of blood erupted.
When Su Ziyu sheathed his sword, a corpse of the flying head lay at his feet, with a glaring blood hole in its forehead.

Have all these spirits been polluted?
Su Ziyu had seen the flying head before, and at that ti, the Space-Ti Monitor System offered no warning.
Unfortunately, now this flying head had beco a polluted entity.
The Vermilion Bird Dao in the Ghost Capital was reduced to ruins, with indistinct shadows looming in the darkness, all nothing more than mindless ghosts.

The sound of a building collapsing echoed in the distance.
Then, within Su Ziyu's line of sight, a petite and delicate figure erged sowhat embarrassedly, followed by a narrow bone whip flying towards her back.
It's her!
Su Ziyu leaped into the air, pointing with his hand, "Go!"
A streak of sword light shot forth.
The teor Longsword cleaved the bone whip, then returned to Su Ziyu's grasp with a gesture. Now, a portion of the bone whip was severed and did not reach the petite figure.
She seed to notice Su Ziyu, her expression joyous as she said, "It's you!"
"Hey! Help out, ow!"
The Nine Lives Cat leaped swiftly through the air, then landed beside Su Ziyu, asking softly, "Where have you been lately, ow?"
"Do you know about the chaos in the Netherworld?"
Boom!
A loud boom interrupted her words, and amid the swirling dust, a woman more than three ters tall appeared before them.
"Pollution entity detected!"
Within Su Ziyu's sight, a woman with a cold expression and a face covered by a bone mask slowly erged, holding a bone sword stained with blood, her black, sharp fingernails tainted with bits of flesh. She wore a deep red dress, though so parts were stained dark red.
—"Bone Woman!"
The Bone Woman, originally stationed near Rashomon, was now unrecognizably changed. Her height had reached nearly three ters, her spine had odd protrusions, two horns grew from her forehead, and dark red flas danced in her pupils.
"What happened here?" Su Ziyu asked deeply.
The Nine Lives Cat gently shook her head and softly said, "I'm not too sure. I went to Danbo Mountain to check on the little kittens, and when I returned, it was like this."
Strands of ghostly blue flas appeared.
The Bone Woman's icy gaze fixed on the two of them, then her figure lunged forward, the sharp bone sword slashing directly at Su Ziyu.
Clang!
Su Ziyu held his teor Longsword to parry the attack, the imnse force causing a tingling sensation in his palm and thin cracks to appear on the bluestone ground below. The Bone Woman's strength had skyrocketed inexplicably, reaching a level close to that of a Great Demon.
"ow!!!" A sharp cat cry rang out.
The silhouette of the Nine Lives Cat lunged forward, running straight along the wall before its claws transford into a sharp light aid at the Bone Woman.
Boom!
A bone shield appeared in front of the Bone Woman, blocking Nine Lives Cat, and her head turned 180 degrees, spewing ghostly green flas toward the attacking Nine Lives Cat.
—"Thunder Strike!"
An astonishing bolt of lightning descended from heaven.
Rumble!
With a thunderous crash, the Bone Woman was blackened all over by the strike, and even the ghostly fire around her body diminished significantly.
However, the thunder strike caused such a commotion.
Perhaps the entire Ghost Capital heard it.
—"Spiritual Protection Field!"
A dark whip shadow attacked, but Su Ziyu stood firm, not dodging, and activated his Spiritual Protection Field. The whip shadow halted within ten centiters before him, unable to advance further.
—"Thunder Strike!"
A second astonishing bolt of lightning descended from heaven.
Rumble!
In a crackling burst of electric light, the teor Longsword in Su Ziyu's hand also emitted a dense arc of electricity. With a loud bang, he soared into the air, aiming a slash at the Bone Woman.
A bony shield appeared in front of the Bone Woman, seemingly transford from her rib cage.
—"Flashing!"
Mid-air, Su Ziyu suddenly vanished and reappeared behind the Bone Woman, slicing through her neck with a flash of cold light.
No prompt sounded from the system.
The head that Su Ziyu had just severed began to move again, seemingly trying to return to the Bone Woman's neck.
Boom!
Su Ziyu kicked the head away forcefully.
The head was so hard that even Su Ziyu's toes hurt from the impact. Without hesitation, he took out his Anti-Material Sniper Rifle and aid at the head.
Boom!
A muffled gunshot rang out.
The Bone Woman's head shattered instantly, scattering fragnts of flesh and blood in all directions.
"Gained 5 points of Source Power Value!"
Thud.
Only then did the headless corpse of the Bone Woman collapse, disintegrating into a heap of white bones.
"(⊙o⊙) Wow!" The Nine Lives Cat appeared dumbfounded from a distance.
This guy is amazing!
Sigh.
Why couldn't I make him a follower back then?
What a pity!
The cat demon's thoughts were quirky. Even just after the battle, she first thought of their past bet.
—"Wild Bone (Rare Item)!"
Su Ziyu waved his hand, collecting the rare item, then turned to the Nine Lives Cat not far away, saying, "Let's get out of here! It's not safe!"
The thunder strike made too much noise.
Su Ziyu led the Nine Lives Cat out of the Ghost Capital, and shortly after they left, two strange black and white figures gradually appeared. They exuded a ghostly death aura, one with fully black pupils, the other fully white, holding a Soul-Calling Banner and wearing a Soul Hook at their waists. They were once the Black and White Ghost Emissaries, though now their expressions were extrely odd.
Unable to find Su Ziyu's traces, the Black and White Ghost Emissaries took away the Bone Woman's remains and proceeded towards the Imperial Palace of Ghost Capital.
"Huff huff!"
"Let's take a break, ow~!" Nine Lives Cat panted heavily.
Su Ziyu paused, looking back at the Ghost Capital, and his eyes gradually filled with spiritual light.
—"Spiritual Vision!"
A burst of blood-red light appeared.
In the world seen through Spiritual Vision, the sky was a dark red. The white dragon above the Imperial Palace of Ghost Capital was now in a weakened state, its body covered in many dark red spots like sores. Yet, that wasn't the worst part. What troubled Su Ziyu was that when he looked at it, it turned its head to look back at him.
In an instant!
Su Ziyu felt a strong ntal impact, and the Space-Ti Monitor System sent an alert.
"Alarm! Alarm!"
"Pollution source detected!..."
