Max’s Tavern.
Su Ziyu glanced at the half-lit and half-dark sign and got up to enter the tavern.
There are two taverns in the Elk Gathering Place, one in the Chinese District and the other in the White District. The owner of the tavern in the Chinese District died recently, reportedly due to radiation-induced mutation. He encountered a terrifying monster while out for supplies. Only two people survived, one died shortly after returning, and the other managed to cling to life with dication but died a few days ago.
So gang mbers are fighting over that tavern in the Chinese District. A small scale gunfight broke out the day before yesterday, and Old Bob advised Su Ziyu not to go there.
Bang.
As Su Ziyu pushed the door, he discovered there was a problem with the tavern door. Looking around, he saw that the door had been modified from a truck door, welded together in a quite crude and simple manner.
"Welco."
"Would you like sothing to drink?" A White woman dressed in a bunny girl outfit walked over.
She looked to be in her twenties, heavily made up, and her cheap perfu was overpowering. She’d been wearing the bunny girl outfit for a long ti, as the fabric was slightly faded, but that’s also the style of the Wasteland Era.
The tavern was filled with many guests. Old World music was playing at the bar, with a bit of a heavy tal flair.
Su Ziyu imdiately spotted a shiny bald head under the neon lights. He pointed towards the Abstinence Monk not far away and said softly, "I’m here to find soone."
"Feel free." The bunny girl smiled and stepped aside.
At that mont, a sleazy voice chid in. A man with three parts drunk, holding a bottle, said, "Jennifer, why don’t you greet when I co in?"
"Is it just because he looks more handso?"
Jennifer, the bunny girl, turned to glance at him and replied straightforwardly, "Yes."
"You look too ugly. Not my type."
Laughter erupted around them.
The man’s expression slightly faltered, perhaps a little too drunk. As Jennifer passed by his table, he suddenly reached out to touch her behind.

By the ti Su Ziyu heard the sound and looked back, the man was already put down on the ground by the bunny girl with a joint lock. A small gun was pressed against the drunken man’s forehead as Jennifer said coldly, "Is my ass sothing a wretch like you can touch? Don’t you know, when I was out there hunting Corpse Ghosts, you were still mining in so tunnel."
"Bieber, throw him out." A steady male voice ca through.
Quickly.
A very burly man ca over and kindly said to the man on the ground, "You’ve had too much. Go outside and get so fresh air to sober up."
Then, like carrying a chick, he picked the man up and threw him out the door.
The tavern erupted in laughter again.
"Why are you here?" Abstinence Monk noticed Su Ziyu, stood up, and called to the bartender at the bar, "Give my friend a shot of Fire."
After speaking, he winked mischievously and said, "What? Interested in that chick?"
"That woman is not simple."
"She was quite a notorious figure around here back in the day."
Su Ziyu shook his head with a smile. His standards have been raised too high by the Female Warlocks and others like Qing Ji. To ordinary people, the bunny girl should be considered a beauty, but in his view, it’s uncertain whether she’s pretty or not; she seed just like an average white woman. The most morable thing being her overpowering perfu scent.
His taste has been refined enough by the Female Warlocks, and recently he’s spent ti with Qing Ji, so ordinary beauties have no attraction to him.
"I have sothing to discuss with you." Su Ziyu sat down by the bar and said, "I want to take on so tasks to earn money."
"You should be familiar with the area, right?"
Tasks?
Abstinence Monk turned to scrutinize Su Ziyu and said, "Are you planning to take on hunting tasks?"
"The remaining hunting tasks target unusual monsters."
"I advise you to consider carefully."
The tasks posted at the gathering place aren’t simple. The easy ones have long been completed, even the Scavenger groups sotis try taking simpler ones. The remaining ones are no easy pick.
Put simply.
There are no beginner tasks posted at the gathering place, and even veterans might stumble. The tasks listed typically involve Elite Level or Leader Level monsters.
"I’m confident." Su Ziyu smiled.
"Okay then." Abstinence Monk stood up and walked toward a corner, calling out, "Max! My friend wants to take on a hunting task."
"Bring out the task commission."
The tavern quickly fell silent for a mont.
People nearby couldn’t help but take a closer look at Su Ziyu. He could hear whispers, seemingly inquiring about his background.
"Wilderness Hunter?" A man with one eye walked over.
He glanced over Su Ziyu’s attire and chuckled. "I was a Wilderness Hunter when I was young, too."
This man looked quite formidable.
Square face, scruffy beard, burly and robust build, with burn scars on his hand, a scar left by a claw on his side, and a black eyepatch on one eye. It’s unclear why he doesn’t replace it with a chanical eye. His presence was steady and powerful, his body relaxed but ready to explode at any mont. A glance would reveal he’s not an easy opponent.
