In the end, Da Bao didn’t take Nuonuo to that teahouse for herbal tea. The reason, of course, was because a certain sleepyhead piglet overslept until after ten o’clock before waking up.
Nuonuo woke up naturally in a warm and familiar embrace, feeling extrely satisfied, and snuggled her face against the man who was holding a book with one hand.
"Morning!"
The man casually tossed the book aside and gently touched her soft warm face.
"Morning, baby!"
After a night’s sleep, Nuonuo’s cheeks were rosy, like a ripe tomato, and the man couldn’t help but lower his head to give her cheek a playful bite.
Nuonuo’s brain hadn’t fully kicked in yet, and she dumbly tilted her neck, accommodating his teasing. Of course, even if her brain was in overdrive, she could never outsmart this man.
"Did you sleep well?"
The man’s voice was deep yet clear, with a lazy magnetic quality that tickled Nuonuo’s eardrums like a feather, making her feel a tingling in her heart.
"Mmm..."
She lazily stretched on top of him but showed no intention of getting up.
"And you?" Her soft little paw slipped under Da Bao’s pajama collar, casually touching here and there, suddenly sensing so hardness beneath her.
"Mmm, of course, I slept well!" Da Bao gritted his teeth hard.
Was it her imagination, or did Nuonuo feel like her brother seed to be holding back frustration, gritting his teeth?
Then, her paw was caught, and Da Bao turned her hand over and pinned it to the covers.
"Get up and brush your teeth!" Da Bao ordered gruffly, then promptly placed her on the bed and stood upright at the foot of the bed.
The brother who had been so gentle just monts ago suddenly changed styles, and Nuonuo was now certain that she hadn’t imagined it.
"Brother...what’s wrong?"
Nuonuo was quite aggrieved, not knowing what she had done to suddenly displease this man.
anwhile, Da Bao was feeling both embarrassed and helpless. He was a normal adult man, and even without any provocation, certain physical instincts were quite vigorous every morning.
Yet this innocent little girl didn’t know this, and in her words and actions, she was inadvertently setting fires everywhere. The worst part was, after lighting the fire, she wasn’t responsible for putting it out!
"It’s nothing; I’m going to take a shower..." Da Bao hastily threw out the sentence, stiffly and awkwardly fleeing the bedroom.
Nuonuo was still young, and not only could Da Bao not bring himself to ask her to put out the fire, he didn’t even dare let her know about such things!
Thus, saying he fled with his tail between his legs was no exaggeration.
Nuonuo looked innocently disappointed as she watched his retreating figure, slowly got out of bed, and muttered, "Did Brother take the wrong dicine? Why does he seem like a different person after waking up?"
The pure little girl, still filled with grievances, put on her slippers to wash up. When she finished and ca out to get clothes to change into, she inadvertently looked at the wall clock, which pointed exactly at eleven o’clock.
Nuonuo’s first reaction was to hop to the bathroom door and shout at the man still showering inside, "Brother, is the clock broken?"
"I don’t think so?!"
Da Bao, having just finished his shower, opened the bathroom door with a flick, water droplets rolling down his bare upper body.
Nuonuo’s line of sight fell unimpeded on his solid and beautiful physique, her eyes going straight! She gulped with difficulty, already forgetting the previous question, instinctively taking a few steps back while her gaze seed glued to Da Bao’s body.
Da Bao was montarily startled, then hooked a mischievous smile, squinting slightly as he advanced step by step towards her, forcing Nuonuo to retreat until she was pressed against the wall like a flower clinging to it, then looked up at Da Bao pitifully.
Originally, Da Bao intended to tease her well, to punish her for provoking him early in the morning, almost setting him ablaze with desire.
But facing her innocent, clear bunny-like eyes, all his naughty plans just couldn’t be carried out.
Raising one arm, he braced himself on the wall beside her face, his head slowly leaning in.
Panic flitted across the little bunny’s eyes, and she gulped again hard, stamring, "You...what are you gonna do?"
Da Bao extended his other hand, placing it on the wall on the other side of her head. Just as she was about to bend down to escape, he quickly moved his face closer to her ear and whispered two words,
"Kabe-don!"
Then, their lips t, and what followed was a French kiss so intense it made Nuonuo recall it later on her return flight, blushing down to the tips of her ears!
During those two days in M City, the two of them, although they didn’t cross any boundaries, were constantly embracing and cuddling like a pair of little lovers. Luckily, this close intimacy allowed Da Bao and Nuonuo to get through the short separation of over ten days on the strength of sweet mories.
When they t again, Nuonuo had already finished her final exams, and after the sumr break, she was going to enter her second year of high school.
During those dozen days apart, Da Bao remained busy as ever, but he rembered his promise to Nuonuo. No matter how busy he was, he’d get to bed before eleven, so he could chat with Nuonuo on the phone as they climbed into bed at the sa ti, then say goodnight to each other, allowing them both to sleep well, surrounded by the warmth and affection transmitted through the phone lines.
Nuonuo had originally planned to fly to M City the day after her exams to visit Da Bao, but Da Bao showed up at her school gate on the last day of her exams.
"Brother?!"
Nuonuo had just finished her final exam, walking out of the school gate with her backpack, and suddenly saw Da Bao in a suit approaching, thinking she was dreaming.
"All done with exams?"
Da Bao ca right up to her and enveloped her and her backpack in a hug.
"Yep! All done!"
Nuonuo looked up, her sparkling eyes not shying away, staring passionately at Da Bao.
Da Bao secretly sighed, covering her eyes with his hand. He led her to the car, and while bending over to buckle her seatbelt, he couldn’t help but scold her, "Silly girl, did you forget this is the school gate? Staring at like that—do you want to give you a passionate kiss right here?"
Nuonuo had no idea her unintentional passion looked so blatant in others’ eyes.
With Da Bao’s reminder, her face imdiately flushed. "I wasn’t thinking that at all?"
Seeing her innocent and aggrieved deanor, Da Bao didn’t have the heart to say more. He pinched her cheek, closed the car door, and quickly went to the driver’s seat.
"I thought I’d be going to M City tomorrow. Why are you back?" Nuonuo asked spiritedly.
The little girl, with her great capacity to overlook things, had already forgotten about the earlier embarrassnt and grievance in the blink of an eye.
