"Of course, I wanted to surprise you!" Da Bao patted her head, started the car, and drove away.

A few minutes later, the car turned in the opposite direction of their ho.

"Brother, aren’t we going ho?"

"Didn’t you finish all your exams today? I’m taking you out for fun!" Da Bao said earnestly.

"But... Mommy said she’d make dinner and wait for at ho!" Nuonuo was torn, wanting to spend quality ti with Da Bao but not wanting to ruin Mommy’s plans.

"I’ve talked to Mommy; she’s also having her own quality ti with Daddy tonight, so don’t worry about them." Da Bao understood the little girl’s hesitation perfectly.

Nuonuo showed a relieved expression, bent down, and rummaged for snacks in the glove compartnt.

"How did your exams go? Alright?" Da Bao glanced at the little girl munching on chips, his face showing a helpless yet doting smile.

"Well, probably good. I’m not sure about math, but I think I’ll get excellent grades in the other subjects."

The little girl held a big bag of chips, enjoying herself thoroughly, naturally boosting her mood.

"Brother, did you just buy these snacks?" Since Da Bao started at a branch office, he hadn’t picked up Nuonuo from school for a while.

"Yes, I bought them just now at the supermarket near your school."

To make the most of his ti, Da Bao had the driver bring his car to the airport to pick him up and then directly co to the school; the driver took a taxi ho.

As for the snacks, Da Bao had so extra ti after arriving at the school gate, so he went to the nearby supermarket to shop.

"What’s for dinner today? Are we having seafood again?" The little foodie’s mouth was still full of snacks, but her mind was already on dinner.

"You glutton!" Da Bao glared at her.

Nuonuo replied mischievously, "Hehe, didn’t they say ntal labor burns more calories? So, being hungry and craving food is normal! But don’t worry, I won’t eat you poor."

"To eat poor, you’d have to have quite an appetite!" Of course, Da Bao wasn’t being vain, but stating facts.

"..."

Nuonuo fell silent, then simply ignored him, focusing solely on her snacks.

Da Bao generally wouldn’t stop her from eating snacks because, with her seemingly innate ability, no matter how much of these high-calorie snacks she ate, she wouldn’t gain weight or get heaty; her skin remained fair and smooth like premium marble.

"It feels like I’m bringing ho a little pig." Even knowing she wouldn’t gain weight, Da Bao couldn’t resist teasing her.

Nuonuo rolled her eyes at him, not bothering to respond, continuing to eat!

"Do you want to eat seafood?" Only then did Da Bao rember he hadn’t answered her question.

By asking, he naturally indicated that his original choice was sothing other than seafood.

"No, I just thought you liked it." Nuonuo didn’t mind; although she was picky, compared to the professional foodie Da Bao, her pickiness was nothing noteworthy.

Da Bao looked at her seriously and, upon confirming she wasn’t lying, said, "Then shall we have Western food tonight?"

"Sure, I don’t mind. Anyway, whatever Brother thinks is delicious, I’ll definitely be full of praise." Da Bao’s taste in food was always reliable, and Nuonuo never questioned his choices.

About ten minutes later, Nuonuo and Da Bao were seated at the top-floor restaurant of R City’s tallest building.

Nuonuo had barely settled in when Da Bao, like conjuring a magic trick, produced a bright red rose and handed it to her.

"Nuonuo, this is for you!"

Nuonuo was surprised, her mouth agape as she stared at him. Da Bao urged the rose towards her until she snapped out of her trance and accepted it.

"Thank you, Brother!"

This was the first ti the little girl received a flower, excluding those she got during fashion shows. Although it was just one rose, it delighted her imnsely, her shy smile even prettier than the budding flower.

"Do you like it?"

Da Bao had considered bringing a big bouquet of roses to pick Nuonuo up from school but decided she was still a little girl, and it shouldn’t be too flashy or extravagant, so a single rose sufficed.

"Of course I like it!"

The little girl leaned closer to sll the fragrance, her bright eyes filled with joyous smiles, proving she truly liked it!

It seed that regardless of age, girls were never immune to beautiful flowers; Da Bao silently took note of this.

"Let’s put the flower here first; take it with you when we leave." Da Bao pointed at the vase on the table.

Reluctantly, Nuonuo placed the flower in the vase, her eyes couldn’t help but drift towards the blossom, and when Da Bao noticed, she smiled shyly, touching her nose in self-mockery.

"Receiving flowers for the first ti, so happy..."

Da Bao reached out, grabbed her hand, and pulled it over, tracing heart shapes on her palm with his fingertips.

"I’m sorry, I’ve been too self-centered. In the future, just tell what you want."

Da Bao felt guilty; he didn’t know when he started to understand her less.

Many of what he assud were actually misjudgnts, not her true feelings.

The main reason for this gap was his busy work schedule, leading to less ti with her and lack of communication on many matters, while she was growing up, and her ideas and perspectives were gradually changing.

Nuonuo didn’t notice his sudden low mood because she was trying hard to suppress her laughter, her shoulders trembling, "Brother, stop... it tickles..."

With that, she tried to pull her hand back.

Da Bao lifted his eyelids, glared at her resentfully, and let go of her hand angrily.

He knew that even if the little girl really wanted sothing or wanted him to do sothing, she wouldn’t truly ask.

Because she was a thoughtful little girl, she wouldn’t want to trouble him or force him.

So, instead of waiting for her to ask, it was more practical to spend more ti understanding her.

"What do you want to eat? I’ll help you order!" Da Bao knew the little girl loved food dearly.

Da Bao chose this restaurant because its cozy, romantic ambiance was perfect for couples.

But with matters of romance, the little girl obviously didn’t quite understand yet; to her, delicious food was more tangible than the soothing romantic music and soft, intimate lighting here.

"Brother, can I have ice cream?" Nuonuo’s gaze lingered on the exotic array of desserts, unable to look away.

"You can, but you have to eat your main course first before dessert."
