Alka hadn’t realized when Simon had entered, and it looked as though Simon had been working there for quite so ti.
Simon’s voice pulled Alka from his contemplation. He looked at the strand of hair in his hand.
"I’m just considering whether I should proceed."
"Oh? Is it that experint you ntioned earlier, the one using your own hair to create a puppet?" Simon asked curiously.
"Yes." Alka nodded.
Several female mbers on the ship now had corresponding Puppet Girls. The appearance of these Puppet Girls had visibly enhanced the overall intelligence of the entire Puppet Legion. It was as if wisdom and Spirituality could be shared. All the Puppet Girls were behaving more and more like humans, each exhibiting individual emotions. Moreover, these Puppet Girls were almost identical to younger versions of the individuals whose hair was used as the source material.
Back then, Alka had wondered what differences might arise if Puppet Girls were made using male hair? This was why Alka hadn’t used Dream Realm materials to create Puppet Girls yet; he had postponed developing this technique. He wanted to experint with his own hair this ti, using perfected mystical technology for the creation. Alka nodded and stopped hesitating. "Hopefully, Lucilia won’t be angry if I really make a male puppet."
"Actually, according to my research, it’s unlikely for a male puppet to appear."
"Oh? Why is that?" Alka asked, curious.
"Because subconsciously, Lucilia doesn’t want male puppets to appear. She thinks it’s not cool enough; she prefers an all-female Puppet Knight Order that aligns with her desires." Simon shrugged. "After all, she’s the one who activates the puppets, granting them vitality and Magic Power, isn’t she?"
Hearing this, Alka nodded. That was indeed true. Without being activated by Lucilia using her Treasure, Puppet Girls wouldn’t develop any gender characteristics. At that stage, they were rely objects, devoid of any life.

Long, black hair grew from the top of her head, quickly draping down to her waist. Her figure and facial features also began to change rapidly. The physical changes indicated this was a Puppet Girl; she hadn’t transford into a male despite Alka’s hair being used. The previously prepared clothes were placed on her, and her facial features softened.
Finally, she opened her eyes.
Upon opening her eyes, the first thing she did was look at Lucilia, then her gaze quickly shifted to Alka.
Upon seeing Alka, she smiled. "Father."
"Huh?"
Alka was dumbfounded. Beside him, Lucilia’s eyes widened in shock. Simon, observing from not far away, almost burst out laughing but barely managed to hold it in.
"No, no, no, you mustn’t call that. Call Captain," Alka frantically waved his hands to correct her, as the Puppet Girl’s form of address was incorrect.
And she was supposed to communicate with Lucilia first. Even those created with hair previously had engaged with Lucilia first. They were rely more closely attached to the female mbers whose hair was used.
The girl tilted her head, her eyes filled with puzzlent.
"But you are my father."
"Then what am I?" Lucilia asked curiously, having recovered from her surprise.
"You are... you’re Mo... no, you’re the Commander," the girl confird with a nod.
"No, I’m the one who gave you life. You should call Mother," Lucilia corrected from the side.
"Dream on," the Puppet Girl said, then leaped onto Alka’s shoulder, acting very intimately with him.
Alka fell into deep thought. This Puppet Girl is clearly different; there’s a significant issue, he thought. The previous Puppet Girls created using hair, although possessing Spirituality after awakening, weren’t as spiritually vibrant as this one. Moreover, she seems to possess so inherent knowledge. For example, when Lucilia asked her to change her form of address, she outright refused. She can clearly comprehend the aning and significance of these different forms of address.
"Dad, what should my na be?" she asked, gazing at Alka with her dark eyes.
"Hmm... Xuan. Let’s call you Xuan." I originally considered Eleven (Shiyi), but that na clearly doesn’t sound very good. Given this Puppet Girl’s intelligence, she might have refused it, Alka mused.
"It sounds nice. From now on, I’m Xuan."
"Alright Xuan, don’t move. Let examine you," Alka said. He wanted to find out why Xuan had awakened to her intellect so much earlier than other Puppet Girls and why she clearly possessed so inherent knowledge. The difference is too great, he thought.
Xuan did not resist; she simply nodded.
Magic Power, like threads, flowed from Alka into Xuan as he began a detailed inspection to determine the crucial difference between her and the other Puppet Girls.
After a short while, he opened his eyes. It seed he understood.
"What’s the reason? Did you find out?" Lucilia asked curiously from nearby. She too could clearly see that Xuan, upon her ’birth,’ was quite different from the other Puppet Girls.
Alka nodded, his expression sowhat peculiar. "It’s because she was made using my hair. That’s the reason for this."
"Your hair... is there sothing different about it?" Lucilia wrinkled her brow, thought for a mont, and asked, puzzled. What could be different about it? Is it just because of the gender difference? That shouldn’t be it.
"There’s one aspect where I’m very different from all of you: my soul is much stronger than yours," Alka said.
"Oh!" Lucilia’s eyes lit up as understanding dawned on her. So that’s how it is! She had been inside Alka’s Soul Space before; Alka’s soul was indeed far stronger than that of a normal person. This also made his ntal and spiritual strength and resilience far superior to those of others at the sa level. And according to mysticism, hair acts as a conduit to the soul.
Therefore, a Puppet Girl created using Alka’s hair would naturally be born with greater Spirituality and wisdom than other Puppet Girls.
