The Crystal Dragon’s gemstones were almost gone. Yesterday, it had been furious about its empty gemstone pouch.
Today, its large size and exceptionally eye-catching appearance prevented it from entering the city. It could only wander the outskirts, which fueled its anger even more.
If Jason couldn’t produce gemstones to appease the Crystal Dragon when he went out later, Ulu Liwus would definitely get angry with him.

Juanlu shrugged. "How would I know? I don’t even have a fiancée. I was just making a comnt."

"I borrowed it from Julia."

Julia was indeed a good person to borrow from. Like Pororo, she was among those who barely spent money.
Among their trio from the Ocean, it seed only Matilda spent money regularly. Moreover, Matilda’s expenses were usually for various experintal materials and consumable supplies, and all sorts of bizarre things that no one else understood.
"’Where’s the jewelry store?’ Jason muttered, then asked helplessly after searching for a long ti without success, ’Could it be that no one here wears jewelry?’"
However, no one behind him responded.
When he turned around, he saw Juanlu had fallen far behind, stopping at a vendor’s stall. Jason quickly ran back to him.
The stall was selling all sorts of strange-looking ingredients. However, there were so they had used before, like that fathead fish. Mostly, it displayed various flower petals, plant roots and stems, and whole dried flowers.
"’Can these things be eaten?’ Jason whispered in Juanlu’s ear."
"’Of course, they can. These are pretty good spices,’ Juanlu replied."
"’Have you used them before?’"
"’No, I’m planning to try them out,’ Juanlu said nonchalantly."
He then selected so of the most unappetizing-looking ingredients from a corner of the stall, many of which resembled insects.
Seeing this, Jason’s face turned slightly green, but he couldn’t stop him. I’d better be careful around Juanlu for a while, he resolved. If I see him with a plate, I should definitely hide.
Before Jason could dwell on it, Juanlu had already picked out a large selection of ingredients from the stall.
"’Do you accept paynt?’ Juanlu asked, taking out so silver sails and gesturing to the vendor."
Looking at the foreigner before him, the vendor looked helpless.
"’We’re just wary of outsiders, not savages, my friend.’"
"’Haha, my apologies, boss. Please tally it up,’ Juanlu said with an awkward smile."
He packed the purchased ingredients into his Pocket Ring, and then he and Jason left.
"’How did he know we were outsiders?’ Juanlu wondered as they walked away. After all, we’ve changed into local attire, and everyone here is human. There are no differences in skin color or race. Based on appearance alone, it should be hard to tell."
Hearing this, Jason gave him a strange look.
"’You don’t actually think we speak the common tongue of the Spirit Realm perfectly, do you?’ Jason replied. ’There’s bound to be a difference in accent. We might not notice it, but it’s probably very obvious to the locals.’"
After hearing Jason’s explanation, Juanlu nodded in understanding. He really hadn’t noticed.
If Julia or Lucilia were the ones speaking, they might have been able to pass as locals, Juanlu thought. Julia might, anyway. Lucilia would be obvious at a glance.
Finally, after Jason asked around, the two found the place in the Land of Fragrance that sold jewelry and gemstones. It was a peculiar flower house.
The flower house itself was a deep purple bloom, making it stand out strangely in a place filled almost entirely with pale-colored flowers. The flower’s surface also glistened, as if covered in diamonds or dew-kissed petals.
The two walked inside. Behind the counter stood a middle-aged man in local attire who had a sowhat scholarly air about him. Even just standing there, he exuded an air of courtesy, possessing an intangible charm. He also had a rather handso middle-aged face. With a face like that, he was undoubtedly a heartthrob for middle-aged won.
The mont Jason and Juanlu saw this man, their eyes narrowed slightly. Both of them simultaneously grew more alert. This man gave them a very dangerous impression. He was clearly a powerful individual.
The shopkeeper, standing ramrod straight, adjusted his silver-frad glasses. The ends of the temple arms were adorned with floral decorations.
"’Custors from outside? Truly a rare sight. How may I be of service to you two?’"
Jason glanced at the jewelry on the counter. Unsurprisingly, this being the Land of Fragrance, almost eighty percent of the jewelry featured various floral designs. This place had truly taken floral artistry to an incredible level. The remaining pieces were also sowhat related to flowers.
In response to the shopkeeper’s question, Jason asked directly, "’Do you have valuable rough stones? We’re only interested in gemstones.’"
Jason’s question left the shopkeeper montarily stunned.
Buying rough gemstones in a jewelry store? What kind of request is this? the shopkeeper wondered.
Seeing the shopkeeper’s sowhat puzzled expression, Jason felt a bit awkward. This was mainly because they were too unfamiliar with this place and probably wouldn’t be staying long. He had other matters to attend to and also needed to gather so intelligence, so he didn’t have much ti to waste searching for gemstone suppliers.
Although he found it a bit odd, the shopkeeper still smiled and said, "’While the request is unusual, we are willing to sell them if the price is right.’"
