"Dad." Justin Kingston’s expression was gentle and quite polite.
Mia Lane glanced at him. In front of her father, she wasn’t angry anymore; she just looked at him calmly, showing neither joy nor sorrow.
Justin’s gaze swept over his wife, "I brought you so chicken soup. You all haven’t had dinner yet, right?"
"Not yet." David Dalton was quite touched, "Bringing chicken soup especially, you’ve really been thoughtful."
"It’s my duty."
Mia watched as Justin placed the bag on the table, took out several bowls, opened the lid of the thermos, and ladled the soup.
He looked like a total warm guy, his gentle deanor was a bit unlike him.
In no ti, he brought a bowl of soup over to his father-in-law, "Dad, drink it while it’s hot."
"Trevor should drink first." David Dalton reached out to take the bowl, looking worriedly at Trevor.
"He has so too." Justin handed the spoon to her, "Everyone has so, you drink." Then he turned and brought another bowl to the bedside.
This was the first ti today that Justin had formally faced Trevor; the first ti he had co over, he had turned his back.
Their eyes t, he slightly raised the corner of his lips and leaned forward to hand him the bowl, "Trevor Garcia, thanks for saving my wife and father-in-law, you must finish this bowl of chicken soup, or shall I feed you?"
Mia’s eyes opened wide in surprise!
Justin sat down on the edge of the bed with the bowl of chicken soup, picked up the spoon, and was about to feed, "Co on, open your mouth."
"No need, I’ll do it myself." Trevor quickly reached out to take the bowl from him.
This scene left David Dalton stunned!
The big boss Justin being this attentive? A man feeding another man? It’s really awkward.
Trevor drank the chicken soup himself.
Then Justin got up and brought a bowl to Mia, "Honey, have a bowl too." His attitude was sincere, with a bit of apology in his tone.
In front of others, Mia didn’t want to embarrass him.
"Hmm." She took it with both hands, "Is there any left for you?"
"Yes."
Justin’s lips curled into a smile, he turned to pick up a fruit knife, took an apple from the bag, and began to peel it.
His ticulous behavior at this mont was sowhat out of character for him.
His gentleness surprised everyone.
He peeled an apple for Trevor, cutting it into small pieces.
Mia also finished her bowl of soup, and Justin took her hand, "Honey, let’s go ho?"
Before Mia could speak, David Dalton stood up, "You have work tomorrow, better go back and rest early."
"What about you?" Mia was worried about her father’s health, "Your company will also be very busy tomorrow, right?"
"How about this," Trevor said, "I’ll go back too, if I need an IV, I’ll co back to the hospital tomorrow, so everyone can rest well."
It was decided just like that. Mia left with Justin first, and Trevor would go ho later with David Dalton.
Since they were leaving tonight, they needed to inform the doctor.
In the room next door.
Grace’s hair was ssy, she got out of bed hugging a pillow. The doctor had just removed the bandages wrapped around her at noon, saying her skin needed air.
"Baby, don’t cry, mommy’s here..."
She coaxed very carefully, tightly hugging the pillow, coaxing it out of the room, "Baby, be good, mommy loves..." yet unintentionally bumped into David Garcia.
"Oh! Baby, did you get hurt?" she asked nervously, looking at David Garcia warily, her face unfamiliar.
The forr father and daughter locked eyes, David Garcia was extrely shocked! Was this Grace??
Her hair was disheveled, her eyes vacant, acting crazy... was she ntally unstable?
