Vera Ford’s chest tightened slightly, and she was montarily stunned.
"How dare you co and ask?" Jasmine laughed lightly, then looked at her disdainfully, "When I misunderstood the situation, why didn’t you deny it? You’re not Dr. Shelby’s girlfriend at all!"
Vera was extrely embarrassed and didn’t know how to explain, wishing she could find a hole to crawl into.
Unable to answer, she turned and left.
The Dalton Group, a skyscraper with dozens of floors, sporting a stylish and eye-catching logo, exuding a youthful and vibrant ambiance.
Towering buildings stood in the bustling part of the city, with glass walls of a light tea color.
In the spacious and bright CEO’s office.
Trevor, dressed in a tailored shirt, stood at the window with his hands behind his back, emanating a subtle aura.
His tall and slender figure, not saying much, always gave people a mature and steady impression, his deep eyes looking towards the white clouds on the horizon.
In his mind flashed the innocent face of Jocelyn Morgan.
And the sound like a singing bird, as if coming from afar, or in a dream, so clearly drifting into Trevor’s ears.
Trevor’s handso lips lifted slightly, a tender emotion filling his deep eyes.
This girl unknowingly entered his heart; she was straightforward, clear in her likes and dislikes, distinctly different from the average girl.
What is she doing?
Providence Hospital, a white building standing in the sunlight.
In a certain ward, Jasmine said to Jocelyn, "Why don’t you invite Dr. Shelby to dinner today? It’s best to express your gratitude sooner rather than later to show sincerity, don’t wait to ask later."
"Today is a workday..." Jocelyn seed not so enthusiastic about this matter.
"People have to eat even on workdays!" Jasmine smiled and urged, "There are restaurants everywhere across from the hospital; there’s still ti."
"..."
"Co on! Stop standing around, go ask him!" Jasmine urged, "He’s been a great help in completely curing my stomach ailnt; I’m still a patient now, so should I be the one to invite him?"
Jocelyn was torn; inviting for dinner felt abrupt, even though she indeed should invite him.
However... she felt so awkward.
"Go on, what are you standing there for?" Jasmine grew anxious, sitting up halfway, "Do you really want to go and ask? I’ll ring the bell!"
"No no no, please lie back! I’ll go, I’ll go!" Jocelyn laughed, hurriedly helping her tuck the blanket, "I’m going right now."
"That’s more like it." Jasmine smiled.
So, Jocelyn left with great reluctance and ca to Ian Shelby’s office door.
No one was inside again.
He really is quite busy!
Just as Jocelyn turned to leave, she almost bumped into his arms.
Ian was dressed in a pristine white doctor’s coat, as immaculate as a ray of light, looking down at her with a calm expression, "What’s the matter?"
The atmosphere turned awkward in an instant because of his detached tone.
"Do you have ti this afternoon?" Jocelyn raised her eyes, blinking her big eyes, "I want to invite you to dinner."
Ian didn’t answer, just stared at her for a mont.
No one knew what he was thinking.
Jocelyn felt slightly awkward being stared at, her mind spinning wildly, quickly explaining, "I feel that my aunt likes you quite a bit." The implication was that her aunt had prompted her to invite him, and she had no choice.
"Do you like ?" Ian asked.
The girl was caught off guard by this counter-question, her heart tightening, her eyes still locked, as if ti had frozen!
What did he an by that?
Until Ian withdrew his gaze, "Co to the office at six this afternoon," he said, passing by her without wanting her to make way, heading into the office.
Leaving Jocelyn standing at the door, dazed for a long ti.
Walking back through the hallway of the ward, she felt a strange feeling inside, her head a bit muddled, mumbling quietly, "What did he an just now? ’Do you like ?’"
She couldn’t quite figure it out!
Was he flirting with her??
