"Because... I’m dizzy!" Jasmine thought quickly and pretended to be dizzy, "Also, I don’t like taking dicine and always forget. It’s better to just get an IV here."
"..." Ian Shelby looked at her, clearly understanding what she was thinking.
Their eyes t, and Jasmine chuckled, "What do you think? My stomach problem is an old ailnt. It’s been mildly painful for years, but I’ve always been afraid to go to the hospital."
"Okay." He agreed, retracting his gaze and continuing to observe the instrunt’s data. Everything was normal.
"Dr. Shelby," after a while, Jasmine tentatively asked again, "You must be so busy with work, you probably don’t have ti to date a girlfriend, right?"
"In matters of love, it should happen naturally. I believe the Matchmaker has a red thread in his hand and won’t forget ." This was Ian Shelby’s perspective.
But Jasmine rebutted him, "That’s not right!"
"Auntie, it’s rare to hear your advice during the holidays, huh? What’s wrong with what I said?" Ian playfully joked with her.
Jasmine smiled, "If you have a girl you like and don’t seize the opportunity yourself, forget about the red thread — even if the Matchmaker binds you with a heavy chain, it won’t hold."
Ian’s expression remained gentle as he packed the instrunt into his white coat pocket, "Auntie, your health is perfectly fine now; just rember to rest more."
Saying this, he started to walk away.
"Hey, did you hear what I just said?" Jasmine hurriedly called after the tall and lean silhouette.
At the door, Ian paused, "I heard you, Auntie. I’ll keep your words in mind." Without turning back, he said this and walked away.
For so reason, Jasmine still quite liked him.
Keep in mind??
Is he keeping Jocelyn in mind?
This guy, although he seed a bit aloof with his own inner world, was genuinely sincere.
In the corridor, Jocelyn had just hung up the phone when she ran into Ian approaching her, "Hey." She quickly stepped in front of him to stop his steps, "How’s my aunt? Can she be discharged tomorrow?"
"She doesn’t want to be discharged yet, wants to stay a few more days." Ian reported truthfully.
The girl’s eyes widened, "Why?!"
"You go ask her." Ian had no ti to explain, gazing calmly into her eyes as he asked softly, "Is there anything else?"
Jocelyn snapped out of it and shook her head.
His lips parted gently, "Then step aside." Speaking in the gentlest tone with the most distant words.
Almost reflexively, Jocelyn stepped aside, leaving him a path. Took the wrong dicine?
Ian started walking forward. She glanced at his back, "What’s the deal? Are you that broad that I won’t block you by standing here?"
Even though Ian Shelby had never dated, as an adult, he understood Jasmine’s implication.
But he was sowhat annoyed with Jocelyn, as Vera Ford was clearly not his girlfriend — why spread such rumors?
He didn’t dislike Jocelyn, actually liked her a bit.
But what was the girl’s mindset?
She also had Trevor by her side.
Ian Shelby would never steal soone else’s love.
About an hour later.
Vera took advantage of Jocelyn’s absence to return to Jasmine’s ward, smiling as she asked, "Auntie, how do you know I’m Dr. Shelby’s girlfriend? Did he say that?"
Jasmine turned, her cold gaze falling on Vera’s face, "Who said you’re his girlfriend?"
