Monica Usher felt so wronged!
She looked at him in disbelief, a wave of grievance surging towards her, but she restrained herself. She calmly reminded him, "Do you know what you have done?"
Pointing to the wrinkled bedsheets, she urgently said, "She used so trick on you, she’s a doctor! Did you drink sothing she gave you? Otherwise, why would you be in her room?"
Justin Kingston looked down at her, exuding a srizing magic power.
Monica couldn’t help but ask, "You usually avoid won, and you especially dislike them, so why would you be with her..."
"You haven’t recognized your own identity yet," Justin casually glanced at her.
She stepped forward, grasped his arm, and asked sorrowfully, "Justin, is it impossible for you to accept no matter who you fancy?"
"Yes." Justin replied without hesitation.
She shook her head in disbelief, "Why do I have to be the sacrifice? What exactly did I do wrong?"
"Monica Usher, listen carefully," he said, "I will never have feelings for you."
Her body stiffened, she released her hand, deeply hurt inside.
"Since... you can so quickly fall for soone else..." she smiled, "Then one day, you’ll fall for too."
Having said that, she forced herself to bear the heartache and turned around to leave proudly!
On the staircase, she took a deep breath, trying to adjust her mood.
She wouldn’t have the chance to co back here; Justin disliked her so much, but she needed to talk to Cora Yates at so point.
Justin entered the pharmaceutical research lab with Earl Grey tea, glanced at the busy Mia Lane, feeling a bit sorry for her.
Sitting back in his office chair, his gaze stayed on her for a long ti without moving away.
Monica Usher felt a sense of defeat; she couldn’t beat a village woman, nor could she compare to a doctor.
No matter how hard she tried or how excellent she was, even if Justin’s mother liked her, would Justin still selectively ignore her?
Monica Usher finally waited until Cora Yates ca out.
Seeing her heading towards the bathroom...
Monica followed her in.
In front of the sink, the two t again.
Mia Lane still wore a mask, her identity now was Cora Yates.
She knew Monica Usher would definitely wait for her, so she deliberately ca out.
"Is there sothing you need, Ms. Usher?" She disguised her voice well.
Monica Usher got straight to the point, "Don’t think that just because you cured Mrs. Kingston, you can soar like a phoenix. Let’s not ntion that Justin Kingston is now married, even if he weren’t, it wouldn’t be your turn!"
Mia found it amusing, curiously asking, "So tell , would it be your turn?"
"..." Monica’s eyes slightly paused, surprisingly speechless.
Even through the mask, Mia felt sorry for her!
But Monica Usher wasn’t a weak woman; to reach the position of Vice President in the company, naturally, she was no pushover.
"It’s not my turn, but that’s just temporary!" She had this confidence.
Mia asked, "Does CEO Kingston’s wife know?"
A trace of disdain surfaced in Monica’s eyes, "Just a village woman, I never took her seriously."
Mia chuckled.
Monica Usher turned to leave, encountering Gigi and Dolly coming up the stairs; the kids completely ignored her.
She stepped across them, crouched down in front of the kids, using her body to block their path.
Looking at the two kids with a smile.
Gigi held Dolly’s hand tighter, exchanging a glance, the two kids cautiously took a step back.
"You’re both so cute." Monica’s voice was soft as she reached out to gently squeeze their shoulders, "Let tell you a secret, ok?"
She said, "That Dr. Yates wants to take your daddy away from mommy."
"..." Gigi and Dolly’s mouths dropped open in shock!
She stood up, patted the kids’ little heads, and walked downstairs.
The kids stood on the staircase, turning to watch her walk away until her footsteps disappeared, then Gigi quickly pulled Dolly back to the room.
In alarm, he asked, "What did she an? Did she see sothing?"
"No matter what she saw, I feel she still doesn’t know Dr. Yates is actually mommy."
"Wouldn’t she be furious if she knew? Our mommy is so outstanding!"
