Walking into the elevator, watching the numbers rise...
Barbara Sutton was lost in thought.
She thought of her long-suppressed affection for Finn Morgan, and rembered the news she had just heard; her heart felt as though it had been torn, painfully beating.
The person she liked was going to marry soone else; it was a blow.
And the rumor that Finn Morgan and Hailey Hale were going to have a flash wedding was spreading more and more in the company, causing quite a stir.
After heading upstairs, Barbara Sutton entered the vice president’s office, only to find it empty.
She guessed that Hailey Hale might be in the president’s office, imagining every intimate mont between her and Special Assistant Morgan, a wave of bitterness pervaded the air.
Sitting in her seat, she spaced out for a while, her thoughts unable to focus.
Until the sound of footsteps approached, Barbara Sutton turned her gaze and saw Hailey Hale walk in.
"You’re back?" Hailey Hale was a bit surprised, casually asked, "How’s your mother doing?"
Barbara Sutton stared at her without answering, her mind still caught up in the news about her marrying Special Assistant Morgan.
Hailey Hale returned to her desk, picking up her cup and taking a sip of water.
Barbara Sutton murmured, "You’re going to marry Special Assistant Morgan? Right?"
Splutter—!
She couldn’t help but spew a mouthful of water!!
Startling Barbara Sutton, Hailey Hale thought she must have misheard, quickly grabbing a tissue to wipe her mouth, "What did you just say?"
Seeing her reaction so big, Barbara Sutton was also flustered, "..." Was the question too abrupt?
After a while, with their gazes still locked, Barbara Sutton softly said, "I just heard about it downstairs, everyone is talking."
"Talking about what?" Hailey Hale’s heart skipped, "How are they talking? How did marriage co into it?"
"They’re all saying you’re going to marry Special Assistant Morgan." Barbara Sutton looked at her, trying to catch sothing from her expression.
Hailey Hale was utterly speechless! She put down the cup, placed her hands on her hips, and sighed.
Really didn’t know what to say!
"Why are those won so nosy!" she complained, "What nonsense is this? Who’s marrying him in a flash wedding?"
"..." Barbara Sutton didn’t understand what she ant; if not a flash wedding, then perhaps marriage later?
Hailey Hale said, "Finn Morgan and I are just ordinary friends, although I’m currently living at his house, but..." she suddenly paused, explaining what?
Is there a need to explain?
And Barbara Sutton confird again, she really was living at Special Assistant Morgan’s house, she admitted it herself.
"Forget it." Hailey Hale said in a relaxed tone, "Let them talk all they want!"
During lunch, Hailey Hale intentionally avoided Finn Morgan, not going to the cafeteria with him.
Finn Morgan still didn’t know about the company rumors.

Because of delivering docunts, Barbara Sutton had the chance to interact with Finn Morgan, but she wasn’t happy at all, feeling that Special Assistant Morgan’s eyes had Hailey Hale in them.
The docunt wasn’t delivered by Hailey Hale; Special Assistant Morgan appeared calm, but his eyes seed a bit disappointed.
Wondering if she’s thinking too much.
Towards evening.
In the vice president’s office, Hailey Hale, whose mood hadn’t been good all day, began tidying up, getting ready to leave, not forgetting to inform Barbara Sutton before she left.
Shortly after she left, Finn Morgan ca over.
With only Barbara Sutton remaining there, Finn Morgan asked, "Where’s Hailey Hale?"
