Hailey Hale felt the car speed up noticeably. She turned to look at Finn Morgan, only to see him holding the steering wheel with both hands, his calm gaze fixed ahead.
She pursed her lips, the silence in the car making her a bit awkward. "Um, actually, he and I..."
"It’s none of my business," Finn Morgan interrupted softly, "No need for an explanation."
"I’m not explaining here! Dude!" Hailey turned sideways, looking at him anxiously. "We have no relationship, so what am I explaining? I just want to tell you that he’s not my type! I’m not into that kind of thing!"
Oh, so she’s explaining this?
Finn Morgan glanced at her, asking blandly, "Then what kind are you into?"
"Why are you being so nosy?" Hailey was utterly frustrated and glanced out the window.
"He’s just inexplicable, I never gave him any hope! He just went straight to a proposal." She couldn’t fathom it, complained, "Do you think he has a screw loose?"
Finn Morgan didn’t respond; he refrained from comnting on other people’s behavior.
"Back in school, wouldn’t I at least like soone tall and handso? At least soone who catches the eye?" She leaned back into the seat. "Ugh, how did I attract this nonsense? It’s really annoying!"
Finn Morgan remained silent, thinking that she probably had her fair share of entanglents back in school too.
Hailey Hale took out her phone, leaning back in the seat to play gas, putting the matter behind her.
A white SUV followed Finn Morgan’s car; they were chasing them!
"Follow her and see where she lives." Fatty was sitting in the passenger seat, panting, staring at the white Maybach intently. "Who is this guy? Hailey couldn’t possibly have gotten a boyfriend just days after joining the company, right?"
"Bro, why do you like her? I feel she’s not a girl who can be won over with one bunch of roses."
"She was unique back in school, liked her the mont I saw her, couldn’t help it."
"Girls like these probably have deeper sches; flowers won’t move them, you need to buy her so jewelry or sothing."
"Forget about jewelry, as long as she agrees to marry , I’d buy a castle after giving up a kidney!"
In the Maybach ahead, Hailey Hale was playing gas, sighing repeatedly, "Ugh, after what just happened, our rumor is completely confird now, isn’t it?"
"What rumor?" Finn Morgan asked, though he had actually heard about it from Barbara Sutton earlier.
"You don’t know?" She turned to him, surprised, and said, "Now everyone in the company is saying you and I are getting married, and I don’t even know where this gossip originated from. It’s ridiculously far-fetched."
Finn Morgan didn’t speak; normally, he would definitely clarify.
But this ti, he surprisingly didn’t feel the urge to clear things up.
Let them gossip as they like; it’s not like he’ll lose a pound of flesh from it. Even the highly disciplined Special Assistant Morgan had such a terrifying thought.
The Maybach finally drove into Celestial Heights, and Finn Morgan saw through the rearview mirror that the car was stopped by security.

Finn Morgan went into the kitchen and naturally cooked two bowls of noodles.
Hailey Hale had recently beco completely enamored with this flavor, sitting across from him and eating with gusto, not paying attention to her image at all, sotis making loud slurping sounds, and sotis even getting broth on her nose.
She’s like a child, retaining that sense of innocence.
At tis like this, Finn Morgan would stop eating, look at her seriously, and couldn’t help but ask, "Didn’t your parents teach you table manners?"
"What table manners?" She looked up, biting the noodles, blinking her eyes. "Hold chopsticks with your hands, eat with your mouth. Having all these rules, isn’t it exhausting?"
