lissa sat in a white chair, having just received a text from Finn Morgan, who would be arriving soon.
The swelling on her face from the slap had subsided, after an entire afternoon of icing and applying ointnt.
Tonight, she deliberately wore a strikingly beautiful red long dress, with a necklace accentuating her fair swan-like neck perfectly.
She had her nails delicately done, not at all gaudy; her fingers had been carefully treated over the years, as pale and tender as a child’s.
She wore light makeup, her features already small and delicate.
She was definitely the kind of beauty that made people look twice in a crowd.
With a faint smile on her lips, she looked outside at the parking lot, eagerly awaiting his arrival.
Soon, a white Maybach ca into view; lissa was overjoyed, her smile deepening as she watched the car door open, seeing the man she had longed for day and night stepping out.
Finn Morgan’s handso face showed little emotion as he walked towards the restaurant.
Through the floor-to-ceiling glass window, he imdiately saw the girl in the red dress by the window waiting, and her gaze landed on him as well.
Entering the restaurant, lissa smiled and waved at Finn, lively and proactive.
Finn approached her and saw the table already set with sumptuous dishes, steaming with aroma, perfectly tid.
"Sit down!" lissa was glad he could co.
Finn took a seat across from her, as the waiter standing nearby opened the bottle and poured the expensive red wine into the decanter.
"You can go," lissa smiled, looking up and speaking to him in Italian, "I’ll call you if I need anything, thank you."
The waiter respectfully bowed and turned to leave.
"I’m sorry, lissa." Finn’s expression was serious, his attitude sincere, once again uttering those three words.
The girl seed unfazed, smiling as she asked, "Sorry for slapping , or sorry you can’t love ?"
"Both." Finn t her gaze, speaking honestly, "I hope you can forgive , and I hope you can adjust well, live happily every day."
"Have you ever loved soone?" lissa’s voice was calm as she looked into his eyes, asking gently, "When you love her deeply, even willing to sacrifice your life for her, but she’s indifferent, loving soone else, tell , can you be happy every day?"
Not far away, a reporter’s cara was clicking away, seeking the best angles.
Finn was stumped by the question, and fell silent.
Love, since ancient tis, is the most hurtful.
"lissa, anyway, don’t have any hopes of a relationship with ," Finn’s attitude was clear, "We’re not a good fit, I don’t have those kind of magical feelings for you as between a man and a woman."
"For Hailey Hale, yes?" lissa wanted an answer, "You like her, don’t you?"
"Yes." Finn faced his true feelings, not wanting to hide anymore, "I like her very much."
As their eyes t, though lissa knew the answer, seeing the determination in Finn’s eyes, her heart was still deeply hurt, and she was inevitably saddened.
But she kept a smile on her face, "Alright, I wish you both happiness."
Her composure made Finn slightly stunned, having expected her to cling desperately, but she had let go so quickly?
"Let’s eat first, the dishes will get cold." With that, lissa picked up her chopsticks to serve him food, a happy smile on her face, "You being here to have a al with allows to put a period on my unreciprocated love."
Not far away, the detail of serving food naturally was captured too.
