After a long day, Hailey and Finn Morgan returned to their room early, sitting in front of the vanity to remove their makeup and prepare for bed.
The two finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"You’ve worked hard, Hailey dear."
Finn stood behind her, gently placing his hands on her shoulders, gazing at the girl in the mirror removing her earrings.
"I didn’t realize how exhausting weddings could be, with so many procedures and ceremonies. But it’s finally done." The girl wore a blissful smile, "My mind’s still a bit foggy."
"The ceremonies aren’t over yet; we have to visit your parents tomorrow," Finn told her.
Hailey remained still and asked, "What’s visiting my parents?"
"It’s when we go to your place after getting married, see your parents, have an official al at your ho, or maybe stay the night."
"No problem!" Hailey bead, "I’ll ask my mom to make sothing delicious for you!"
"Thank you!"
Finn playfully tapped her nose and then helped her take off the hair accessories.
After Hailey went into the bathroom, Finn made a call to the hospital.
He briefly inquired about lissa rce’s situation.
"Don’t worry, Special Assistant Morgan. lissa is not in any imdiate danger, but..."
"But what?" Finn asked softly, "Please, just tell ." He was already ntally prepared.
"It’s just that her organ failure is progressing rapidly, and she might not hold on for much longer. I advise against her leaving the hospital."
Finn asked, "Have her parents arrived?"
"They just did." The doctor added, "lissa just woke up and keeps asking if she can see you."
Finn thought for a mont and said reluctantly, "Please tell her I’ll visit when I have ti."
"Certainly. I’ll faithfully relay the ssage."
Finn hung up, feeling a bit heavy-hearted. He could only deeply regret lissa’s situation.
Hailey erged from the bathroom after her shower, wearing the light blue long-sleeve pajamas Finn had bought for her, her damp hair falling over her chest, looking cute and playful.
"Co here."
He had already prepared a hairdryer and a dry towel, playing the role of a perfect gentleman.
Hailey walked towards him, feeling like she was in a dream.
Today she attended a wedding, wore a wedding dress, and got married!
Standing before Finn in a five-story villa still felt a bit unreal, like her feet weren’t touching the ground.
Finn used the dry towel to soak up the water droplets from her hair and then used the hairdryer to dry it.
"Tired, darling?"
The girl felt a tingling in her chest, her cheeks flushing as she looked up, her heart racing as she t his gaze.
Finn handed her a doting and gentle smile, "If you’re tired, go to bed early. I’ll take a shower, and you should get into bed sooner."
Hearing the word "bed," Hailey felt a bit flustered.
On their wedding night, it wouldn’t be normal not to... do sothing, right?
But actually doing sothing... she’s quite afraid of the pain! She had no experience at all.
Not ntally ready yet, the stress was imnse!
After drying her hair, she watched Finn walk into the bathroom, and soon, the sound of running water echoed...
Hailey Hale slowly surveyed the surroundings; the bedroom was enormous, with several sets of lighting — soft, bright, cozy, and romantic...
The standout feature was the large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a grand view of the garden, evoking a sense of embracing nature.
The sofa chairs in front of the window were both cute and practical.
The wallpaper with faint cherry blossom patterns, the small and cozy table lamps, all contributed to the elegant decor.
After a glance around, her gaze fell onto the large, soft double bed, her cheeks a bit flushed, her heartbeat slightly quickening, uncertain about what might happen later...
