I summoned my sword and shield in my hands and imdiately swung at the devil in front of , but instead of resistance my sword just went straight through the diabolical woman, hitting the countertop behind her, shattering the stone slab with a lot of noise.

The woman stared at with a huge smirk on her face, crossing her arms confidently. “Now now, no need to wake everyone up.” Her voice

“Get lost!” Anger shot through as I felt my black armor cling to my body, swiping my sword horizontally this ti, again going straight through my target with no effect. She wasn’t even dazed.

“Holy shit, Amicia! What the fuck are you doing?” Hilda cried out from the living room, she had taken cover behind the sofa.

“There’s a devil here! Get back down, Hilda!”

“What the hell are you talking about?! There’s nothing there!”

“See, no need for you to get upset.” The woman smirked once more, taunting .

I took a step back and lifted my sword level with her, charging a ball of death in her direction.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” She continued. “That’s going to do a lot of damage, but not to .”

“Amicia, stop!” Hilda cried out and jumped over the sofa. “Relax.” She ran over to my side and laid her hand on my shoulder.

“But there is a devil here, Hilda! She is standing right there!” I kept my charged up sword aid at the devil.

“I believe you… I think.” Hilda looked over to the spot I was aiming at. “Here, right?”

The devil stood still as Hilda carefully reached her hand forward, she even shifted her weight from one leg to the other. But as Hilda’s hand was about to touch the devil’s skin, her hand just went through too.

“You are touching her now…”

“I don’t feel anything.” Hilda replied and looked at , straight in the eyes.

“Co on, don’t be boring.” I didn’t know what to do as the devil moved closer to Hilda, embracing her body in her arms, caressing Hilda’s face with one hand while she felt up Hilda’s body with the other. “She’s quite a beautiful specin, isn’t she?” The devil held her mouth close to Hilda’s ear, but Hilda didn’t even flinch. She really doesn’t feel anything.

“Don’t touch her.” I sneered under my breath, making Hilda instantly uncomfortable.

“What the heck is going on here?” My sister stord into the living room holding a baseball bat in her hands. “Amicia?”

“There’s sothing going on, Élise. Amicia says there’s a devil here.” Hilda replied.

Sam rushed in behind my sister with Nikki following right behind them.

“A devil, here?”

“I can’t see her, looks like Amicia is the only one who can.”

Sam ran over to , passing my sister who attempted to reach for her but Sam didn’t care and ca over to anyway.

“Look at what you’ve done, Godling. Now your whole gang is awake.” Her smirk grew wider. “I bet they all think you’ve completely lost your marbles now, hunh? How could they not.”

“I swear I’m not going crazy, she really is here.” I defended myself.

“Hey, calm down, Ami.” Sam put her hands on my shoulder. “What is the devil doing right now?”

“She’s just… taunting .” I replied with a lack of other words. “But it seems like she can’t interact with anything physical. Otherwise she would probably have already killed Hilda just to fuck with .”

“Good instincts. I definitely would have.” She smirked. “Although I probably would have toyed with her a bit first.”

Hilda took two steps back, looking a bit shaken at my comnt. “Are you sure?”

“I think so…” I slowly lowered my sword and took a deep breath so I could concentrate on the magical energy in the area. Apart from my own, there really wasn’t anything here. Especially not where the devil was standing.

My sister lowered her bat as well, coming over to inspect that damage I caused.

“I’ll repair it later. I’m sorry.” I apologised.

“Hey, no worries, sis. You were trying to defend our ho against… sothing. That’s all good in my books. Might have to apologize to the neighbours though.”

In the anti the lady hopped to sit on top of the intact part of the kitchen counter. “This is… a lot less chaotic than I had hoped. But it’s amusing nonetheless.”

I ignored her as Sam started to stare in the sa direction I was looking in. “Do you think she was causing the visions from yesterday?” She asked.

I focused on the lady’s eyes and the confident smile she was giving . “I have the feeling she was…”

“Then why is she showing herself to you now?”

“That’s a good question…”

“Isn’t it?” She smirked. “But I’ll tell you the answer to avoid so boring pointless interrogation.”

“She says she wants to tell why.” I relayed the information as quickly as I had received it.

“In exchange for what?” Hilda stepped back again, although cautiously. “Never make a deal with a devil is a wisdom that you should probably go by.”

“Hmmm. There are no deals to be made here.” She humphed, even though Hilda couldn’t hear her. “This is free of charge, consider it paynt for my failure.” Her tone turned darker and more severe in an instant. “We are bound to be together for the near future anyway.”

“Go on.” I urged her to co out with it then.

“I have underestimated you, Godling. I thought I could wrest control from you to cause so havoc in your circles, but you regenerated your power way faster than I could have imagined. I made a tactical mistake and now I’m stuck here. The only bright side of this all is that you are also stuck with .”

“And my hallucinations?”

“That was my doing, trying to influence your thoughts and actions, which actually was partially effective.”

“Hmmm.” I unsummoned my armor and crossed my arms. It still didn’t make sense to why she would tell this all to . Surely she just needed to wait until I had a weak mont again before trying again, right?

“Sadly for though, your little escapade has garnered you a lot more followers which then also made you more powerful, and it seems like that trend is not going to get reversed any ti soon.” She replied to my surprise. “What? Surprised about that? I’m inside your head, I don’t need you to speak for to be able to know what you are thinking. The sa goes for your mories, for your information.”

“So you can see all my mories? All of them.”

“Indeed I can. Looks to like your history is quite interesting, I didn’t know people like you existed.”

My heart sank.

“Have no fear though. I don’t get amusent out of tornting you with those mories over and over again.” She said nonchalantly. “I’m more interested in the psychological and physical trauma that I inflicted myself. Although, to my sorrow and completely thanks to your ddling, that won’t be possible anymore and I would like to spend my last monts on the plane of existence for so good old fun. Let’s just say I want to try to better my life by looking for a new hobby. Call it your influence, being such a goody two shoes.”

“And you honestly expect to believe that you won’t try anything?”

“What choice do you have? We are stuck either way and your Godly friends won’t be able to find a solution either.” She shrugged. “I’m fused with you until your power completely overwrites my existence. Hopefully that will still take a while though, I’d love to see this world for myself, it looks sowhat similar to a world I have destroyed in my past but I didn’t take ti to enjoy it while it was still blue and green.”

As she was telling this to , our two cats ca to the kitchen to inspect the ruckus. They were very cautious but jumped onto the the broken countertop anyway.

“Oh, I do like the cats though. That other world didn’t have cats, if it had, things might have gone differently.” The lady stated.

Mochi and Pocky both looked squarely at the diabolical woman, following her every movent. “Didn’t you say that you were in my head? Then why are my cats tracing you?”

“They are?” The lady shifted her weight and circled the air with her hand. Pocky and Mochi traced it around, freaking out both myself as my entire family. “Oh, that’s interesting. Cat’s are such interesting creatures aren’t they? Your mories tell that they are believed to see paranormal activity, right?”

“Yeah… they do… Can you see her, Pocky, Mochi?”

My cats both owed in unison.

“They do, sohow.”

“Interesting creatures. I like them very much.”

Well… This entire affair is going to get interesting on its own as well.

“It definitely will.”

“I hate you already.”
