Tangya felt an inexplicable panic in her heart. After opening the door, she blurted out, "Ningbing is at ho..."
Luofeng was taken aback for a mont before responding, "Good evening, Auntie. I ca to see Ningbing!"
Tangya let out a sigh of relief.
After Luofeng entered the living room, Bai Ningbing was snuggled up on the sofa. When she saw Luofeng, she blushed and asked, "Why didn’t you say you were coming over beforehand? I haven’t even combed my hair properly!"
Bai Ningbing spoke with a sowhat coquettish tone.

Luofeng opened his LV backpack. He took out two sets of La Prairie skincare sets, giving one to Bai Ningbing and the other, naturally, to Tangya.
Bai Ningbing clearly didn’t know the brand and showed no reaction.
But Tangya knew how expensive the brand was, and she rejected it, "Luofeng, this is too precious. You should take it ho; it would be more suitable for your mother."

Luofeng could tell that Tangya wasn’t in a good mood after taking the call. Was it bad news she received on the phone?
Bai Ningbing directly asked, "Mom, what’s going on? What happened?"
Tangya was silent for a mont before responding, "It was your second maternal uncle. He can’t co to pick us up tomorrow, so he told us to go to the cetery on our own."
Bai Ningbing was doubtful, "But wasn’t it agreed upon before?"
"Your cousin from your third aunt’s family can’t get up early tomorrow, so he’s going to pick up your third aunt’s family. We have to make our own arrangents," Tangya explained.
Bai Ningbing snorted, "That second uncle of mine hasn’t changed at all, still with the sa disdain for the poor and love for the rich."
Luofeng joined the conversation, "Does your third aunt’s family have a lot of money?"
Tangya answered for Bai Ningbing, "Their business is renting out construction vehicles; they have ten dump trucks. Their family’s financial condition is pretty good!"
"Where’s the cetery?" Luofeng asked further.
"On South Road?" Luofeng happened to know there was a cetery over there.
"Yes!" Tangya nodded.
Luofeng checked on his phone. That place was about forty kiloters away from here.
"Auntie, what ti are you guys going to pay respects?" Luofeng asked again.
"As per their agreent, they were supposed to arrive before eight in the morning, and then start the worship at 8:08. It has always been like this every year," Tangya couldn’t help making complaints. "They want to pick an auspicious ti to pray for prosperity!"
After thinking for a mont, Luofeng said, "Auntie, Ningbing, I’ll co over to pick you up at six-thirty tomorrow morning. We should leave by seven at the latest, and we will definitely get there in an hour."
"This?" Tangya hesitated.
Contrarily, Bai Ningbing agreed, "Yes, Luofeng, thank you!"
"You’re welco. You’re my Baby, after all," Luofeng said with a smile.
Bai Ningbing’s cheeks flushed. She hadn’t expected Luofeng to address her so intimately in front of her mother.
A complex look flashed in Tangya’s eyes as she sighed quietly to herself. Thank you, Luofeng!
"No trouble at all, Auntie!" Luofeng said, then gave Tangya a wink—a tricky operation.
Tangya pretended not to see and turned her head away.
"By the way, Auntie, Ningbing, do we need to buy anything for the worship? Like incense wax money paper, or firecrackers?" Luofeng looked at Tangya and asked.
"The regulations are quite strict these days. It’s better to minimize those kinds of things; especially burning money paper is probably not allowed. But we’ll see when the ti cos. If everyone else isn’t afraid, we shouldn’t refuse either and should buy so to take with us," Tangya thoughtfully explained.
Luofeng could tell. She doesn’t have much status in the family. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be so careful. For example, if she had so status, she would say outright whether it’s usable or not. In such a case without status, she can only follow other people’s lead: if they say it’s acceptable, then it’s acceptable; if they say it’s not, then naturally, it’s not.
"We’ll buy them when we get there; the cetery should have them!" Luofeng said.
"Yes!" Tangya said, thanking him again, "Thank you for this, Luofeng."
"No problem!" Luofeng replied.
Actually, visiting places like ceteries without a private car is really inconvenient, especially areas on the outskirts of the Main Urban Area like South Road.
This ti, Bai Ningbing’s second uncle had truly acted improperly.
Luofeng stayed at Bai Ningbing’s ho until ten o’clock before going back ho; his mother hadn’t returned yet. Playing mahjong in the evening... shouldn’t that go on until midnight?
