Rath charged again.

There was no hesitation this ti. No testing of distance or rhythm. The earlier exchanges had already done that. What ca now was decisive—direct, committed, and overwhelming. His body leaned forward with intent, and the ground beneath his feet cracked slightly as he pushed off, the force of his movent translating instantly into speed.

Faster than before.

Stronger than before.

Everything about him had sharpened into a single purpose—ending the fight.

Jelo reacted.

His instincts kicked in imdiately, honed through every clash leading up to this mont. His body moved before thought could fully form, his senses reaching outward, trying to track the trajectory, trying to read the timing—

But this ti—

He was late.

CRASH!

The punch landed clean.

No guard t it. No deflection softened the blow. Rath’s fist connected directly with Jelo’s chest, and the compressed fla surrounding it detonated the instant it made contact. It wasn’t just impact—it was release. Like pressure that had been building beneath the surface finally given a way out.

The explosion of force broke through everything.

Jelo’s body lifted off the ground, thrown backward like he weighed nothing. For a split second, he wasn’t even aware of the motion—only the violence of the hit itself. Then the world snapped back into place just in ti for him to slam hard against the arena floor.

The air left his lungs completely.

Not partially.

Not gradually.

Completely.

His back struck flat, the shock traveling up through his spine and dispersing outward. The force rattled his entire fra, leaving nothing untouched.

For a mont—

The world tilted.

Sound dulled into sothing distant, like it was happening sowhere far away instead of around him. The edges of his vision blurred, shapes losing clarity, colors blending slightly out of place. Even the cracked sky above him seed to waver, its sharpness fading into sothing indistinct.

He blinked.

Once.

Twice.

Trying to refocus.

Then the pain hit.

It didn’t build up—it exploded.

A violent surge that spread through his body all at once, radiating from the point of impact and settling deep into muscle and bone. It wasn’t surface-level pain. It was structural. The kind that made movent itself feel like a mistake.

That...

Was bad.

Jelo tried to stand.

His body responded—but not properly. His muscles obeyed the command, but the coordination wasn’t there. His balance broke before it could stabilize.

One knee dropped.

Hard.

The stone beneath him was uneven, cracked from earlier exchanges. The pressure of his weight forced against a jagged edge, and he felt it clearly—but didn’t shift away.

Not yet.

His side burned.

Not from heat.

From impact.

A deep, internal damage that worsened with every movent. Every breath sent a sharp pulse through his ribs, the pain spreading outward like cracks forming under pressure.

His arm felt heavy.

Not unusable.

But slower.

Weighed down by strain that hadn’t existed monts ago.

Rath approached.

Slowly.

There was no urgency in his steps. No need to rush. The fight wasn’t over—but his pace suggested sothing else entirely. Controlled. asured. Like soone walking toward a result that had already been decided.

"You pushed too far," Rath said.

His voice was calm. Not taunting. Not mocking. Just factual.

"You should’ve stopped earlier."

Jelo exhaled.

It ca out uneven.

Then he forced himself up.

His breathing had changed. Each inhale pressed painfully against his ribs, forcing him to adjust. Shorter breaths. Controlled intake. He regulated it manually, overriding what his body wanted to do.

"...Not yet."

Rath stopped.

His gaze settled on Jelo fully now.

There was a shift in his expression—not concern, not pity. Sothing else.

Recognition.

The look of soone who had seen this mont before. Who understood exactly what it ant when soone stood up like this instead of staying down.

"...You’re still standing."

Jelo clenched his fist.

The sensation was imdiate. Resistance in his knuckles. Soreness spreading from the base of his palm upward through his fingers.

It hurt.

But he held it anyway.

I’m not done.

The heat inside him surged again.

Stronger than before.

But different.

Unstable.

Violent.

Jelo felt it clearly now.

It wasn’t new.

It had been there from the start—beneath every movent, beneath every ability he had used so far. Quiet. Waiting. Hidden under layers he hadn’t thought to question.

Now it was louder.

Harder to ignore.

Not just warmth—

Pressure.

A deep force pressing outward from within, like sothing trying to break free. It didn’t feel separate from him—but it felt deeper. Older. Like it existed at a level he hadn’t reached before.

Below everything.

Below Dragon Claw.

Below Wing Burst.

Below Skilled Guard.

Sothing fundantal.

Sothing he hadn’t accessed yet.

Rath moved again.

This ti—

To finish it.

His posture changed subtly, but the difference was clear. The casual steadiness was gone. His weight shifted forward, his stance tightening, the heat around him pulling inward instead of spreading out.

Compressing.

Condensing.

Building.

Then—

He moved.

Fast.

Jelo saw it.

Clear.

Precise.

And didn’t dodge.

He stepped forward.

Through the pain.

Through the resistance in his body.

Through the warnings screaming at him from every nerve.

Through the unstable pressure inside him that had no clear release yet.

"Dragon Claw!"

BOOM!

Their attacks collided.

The impact shook the space between them, energy crashing against energy—

But Rath overpowered it.

Completely.

The compressed fla didn’t crack—it consud. It tore through Jelo’s claw formation like it wasn’t even there, overwhelming it with sheer density and force.

Jelo’s attack shattered instantly.

The force slamd into him again.

He was driven backward.

Sliding across the ground.

His feet struggled to hold. One dragged unevenly across a crack and nearly gave out. For a split second, his balance faltered—

Then he adjusted.

Shifted his weight.

Caught himself.

Barely.

He remained standing—but just barely.

His body scread.

Pain layered over pain, strain building on top of strain.

I can’t win like this.

Rath stepped forward again.

Calm.

Certain.

No hesitation.

"This is over."

Jelo exhaled.

Slow.

Heavy.

His body was failing.

His defense cracking.

But his mind—

Was clear.

Clearer than it had been the entire fight.

The pain had stripped everything away.

No distractions.

No overthinking.

No unnecessary calculation.

Just the mont.

Then I change it.

The heat inside him surged again—

But this ti—

It didn’t rush outward.

It moved inward first.

Deepening.

Pressing against sothing he hadn’t touched before.

Sothing that felt like a boundary.

His vision sharpened.

The world slowed—

Just slightly.

Not enough to stop anything.

But enough.

Enough to see.

Enough to act.

He moved.
