They were advancing under the barrage of arrows, charging directly beneath the city wall.

The Deceitful Shadows atop the wall wanted to rush down to stop them but were entirely blocked by the Ghosts, unable to break through.
In such a situation, no matter how anxious the Deceitful Shadows were, they could only watch the city wall being slowly dismantled.
As the first section of the city wall cracked and fell, the remaining wall rapidly collapsed as well.
Forcefully, the entire side of the city wall was knocked down.
With the wall down, Gu Xi saw the Deceitful Shadows inside, already ready for urban combat.
These Deceitful Shadows were nurous, unlike the hundreds Gu Xi had previously faced in each district.
These Deceitful Shadows stacked together, forming a black mass, numbering no less than seven to eight thousand.
They differed from the Deceitful Shadows on the wall in that so parts of their bodies had solidified, with so pale white marks appearing on their black skin.

But they hadn’t imagined that as they charged forward, they would encounter Mido’s troops erging from the underground.
Mido had co ahead of Gu Xi, burrowing underground before Gu Xi arrived, to battle the underground Deceitful Shadows.
Thus unaware of Gu Xi’s subsequent commands and tactics. After killing the viable underground Deceitful Shadows, Mido naturally erged from underground.
His target was just behind the city wall.
In Mido’s mind, if he could burrow behind the city wall and ambush the Deceitful Shadows’ lair, he could achieve more victories.
But he didn’t expect that he would erge right when the Deceitful Shadows were charging.
When they broke ground, they found themselves right in the middle-rear of the Deceitful Shadows.
As they erged, they saw the situation before them.
Mido was delighted; this was a great opportunity.
Thus, Mido imdiately led his troops to attack the rear of the Deceitful Shadows.
In an instant, the charging ranks of the Deceitful Shadows were thrown into chaos.
Seeing this, Amirka promptly contacted Gu Xi.
"My lord, the enemy is in disarray. This is a perfect opportunity for a charge; don’t miss this chance."
