When Chen Mu reached the door of the school dical office.
The students outside were quietly observing Chen Mu’s expression.
"This..."
At the mont the door opened, Su Bingbing unconsciously opened her mouth wide.
The floor inside the room was covered with a large pile of snacks and various drinks.
"Dr. Chen, these are so tokens of appreciation from the students for you."
The student at the front of the line outside the dical office cautiously observed Chen Mu’s expression.
Seeing that Chen Mu didn’t look displeased, he finally spoke up, "You’ve been working overti for us, thank you for your hard work!"
"Such nice words!"
"If you know I’ve been working hard, then don’t make work overti!"
With his head lowered and his hands in his pockets, Chen Mu walked past the students and entered the room. The first thing he did was change out of the blood-stained white coat he was wearing.
Seeing Chen Mu’s indifferent deanor.
A few students who had been eagerly anticipating at the door silently lowered their heads.
Suddenly.
The sound of light footsteps approached, and the students looked excitedly toward the inside of the dical office.
Chen Mu, wearing a new white coat, took a box of milk given by the students, bit on a straw, and stood at the door of the dical office, "Hey, students, can we discuss sothing?"
"Dr. Chen, go ahead!" ca a loud response from the crowd.
Chen Mu shook the milk in his hand, "The milk is pretty good, but after the check-up, if any of you have ti, could you help buy a bun from the second cafeteria? I haven’t been able to get one for several days."
"Grab! Dr. Chen, I don’t have money on my campus card, do you?"
The boy’s response elicited a burst of laughter from the crowd.
Ignoring those who shouted that they had money on their campus cards, Chen Mu took out his al card from the dical office’s drawer and handed it to the boy.
"While you’re at it, could you also buy so breakfast for Reporter Su and the caraman? They probably haven’t eaten either."
The boy took Chen Mu’s al card with a grin, "Miss, I suddenly rembered I might have so money on my al card. I’ll treat you to breakfast! I know a really good breakfast place!"
Su Bingbing replied with a smile, "Then thank you, student!"
The boy ran off happily, "No problem, no problem! Reporter Su, wait for , I’ll be back soon!"
Watching the boy quickly disappear from the entrance of the dical office, Chen Mu clenched his teeth, "That kid’s al card balance sure is flexible!"
—
"Geez! That student’s emotional intelligence is so low, he unknowingly offended our school doctor!"
"You can’t afford a bun for the school doctor, but for your goddess, you’ll spring for a full banquet, won’t you?"
"Don’t bla Dr. Chen for being speechless, I’m speechless just watching. This kid knows human relationships."
"Did no one notice that this guy was also in line outside the dical office? Judging by his running speed, he’s pretty healthy!"
"Dr. Chen, I found another one faking sickness to get a dical leave note! It’s the kid buying you breakfast!"
"..."
—
"You can start the consultation now."
Chen Mu sat down at his desk.
With Dr. Chen’s permission, Su Bingbing couldn’t wait to continue acting as his assistant.
She walked to the door to call numbers.
A pale-faced girl walked in, bent over, "Dr. Chen, you’re finally back!"
Chen Mu: "ID card or health insurance card, give one."
The girl silently handed over her ID card.
Chen Mu silently created a case file for the girl, and when he pulled up her information, his eyebrows slightly raised, "Hu Xiaorou, a sophomore?"
Realizing that Hu Xiaorou was not a freshman, Chen Mu’s expression beca slightly more serious.
Not a freshman ans no military training.
It ant she was genuinely sick.
Hu Xiaorou nodded with a pained expression, "Dr. Chen, this area hurts. I feel like my bones ache..."
The area she was holding was a bit sensitive.
Chen Mu paused for a mont, then said, "Miss, if you want to examine you, I might need to press on the painful area to assess your condition."
"If you’re uncomfortable with being a male doctor, I can call for an ambulance from our school for you."
Chen Mu’s tone paused slightly, "It’s free."
—
"Does free even need to be emphasized? Is there such a thing as a paid ambulance?"
"???"
"Who’s the bright one up there, not even knowing ambulances charge a fee?"
"Our country’s ambulances are pretty cheap, right? A starting fee of ten yuan, with an extra charge of two yuan per kiloter beyond three kiloters."
"Since so people aren’t aware, let’s do a little public education!"
"Cardiac resuscitation costs, massive bleeding resuscitation fees, and the drugs and materials you use all cost money. Additionally, there’s the doctor’s visit fee, stretcher fee, and highway tolls that the patient needs to cover..."
"Wow, I just watched a show, and this knowledge got stuck in my head..."
"..."
—
Hu Xiaorou’s eyes flickered.
"Dr. Chen, can I first ask how much it would cost if I went to the hospital for this problem?"
Hu Xiaorou’s question surprised Chen Mu a bit.
But considering the cost of hospital visits, for so students, and even so families, it could indeed be a significant expense.
Chen Mu’s tone involuntarily beca much gentler, "Getting an X-ray would cost a few hundred, and how much subsequent treatnt would cost depends on the specific condition of your ribs."
"If your ribs aren’t dislocated and there’s no serious problem, then local heat therapy, taking so dication, combined with acupuncture can relieve it."
"In the school hospital, it might cost around ten yuan or so to resolve?"
"The dication you’ll take costs money, but acupuncture and the school doctor’s consultation fee are free."
Hearing Chen Mu’s words.
Hu Xiaorou’s eyes brightened, "Dr. Chen, since you’re so affordable, please help with my treatnt!"
"I trust Dr. Chen’s character!"
Chen Mu was at a loss, "You’re trusting that I’m cheap, aren’t you..."
Despite his verbal complaints.
Chen Mu still stood up and covered the examination bed with a new disposable dical sheet, "Lie down, no need to take off your shoes."
"I might have to feel your ribs to confirm the degree of any damage."
"If it hurts, rember to tell ."
Hu Xiaorou nodded with a flushed face.
Chen Mu raised his hand.
He touched Hu Xiaorou’s rib, "Does it hurt here?"
"No..."
"How about here?"
"No..."
"Here?"
"Still no..."
"Here?"
"Yes, yes! Doctor, this ti you got it!"
Chen Mu silently withdrew his hand.
With a serious expression, he said to Hu Xiaorou, "Next, I will press again on the painful area, and apply so pressure to check if your rib is dislocated."
Hu Xiaorou lay straight on the examination bed.
Her eyes only held the simple innocence of a university student and full trust in Chen Mu, "Dr. Chen, you can examine it!"
"Please make sure to correctly assess my condition; if I can avoid going to the hospital, I’d rather not. My living expenses are quite limited this month! A hospital trip would an I’d have to eat gruel and greens!"
Chen Mu raised his hand again, reaching for Hu Xiaorou’s rib, "Got it..."
