Seeing the situation turning sour, he imdiately turned tail and ran. It was a perfect snapshot of Lin Kuang at that mont. After all, he didn’t dare to confront Mu Wan—who knew how the girl would deal with him?

"Lin Kuang, you jerk! Stop right there!" Mu Wan couldn’t help but shout.

"Hah! As if I’d stop. Do you think I’m an idiot?" Lin Kuang muttered to himself as he ran, making sure Mu Wan couldn’t hear him.

They chased each other playfully through the jungle for nearly ten minutes before the roar of a helicopter echoed overhead.

"Alright, honey, stop playing around. Our ride is here," Lin Kuang said with a grin, stopping in his tracks.

"Hmph! You jerk, Lin Kuang! Just you wait. I’ll get you back for this when we’re ho!" Mu Wan said, planting her hands on her hips and panting, her pretty face flushed crimson.

"Ahem, we can talk about that when we get back. I promise I’ll obediently let you have your way with ," Lin Kuang said with a smile. He thought otherwise, though. Once they were ho, it was anyone’s guess who would be ’dealing with’ whom. Of course, that ’dealing with’ would happen in specific places... like a bed, or a couch...

"Hmph!" Mu Wan huffed, glaring at Lin Kuang while plotting her revenge for when they got back.

Just then, Lin Kuang flexed his legs, gripped a tree trunk with both hands, and shimmied to the very top like a nimble monkey. The next mont, he leaped up, his feet landing lightly on the leafy branches at the apex of the tree.

An ordinary person could never do such a thing, but Lin Kuang was no ordinary person. While he couldn’t cross a river on a single reed, standing on the branches of a tree was well within his abilities.

Seeing the approaching helicopter, Lin Kuang waved his arms to signal it over. The helicopter pilots spotted him and flew swiftly in his direction. A mont later, the helicopter hovered directly overhead and lowered a rope.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang called out, "Wan’er, let’s get on board!"

"You don’t have to tell ; I’m not blind," Mu Wan retorted, grabbing the rope and quickly climbing toward the aircraft.

Lin Kuang, of course, was already in the cabin before Mu Wan. When she reached the top, he extended a hand to pull her in, then hauled up the rope and shut the cabin door.

"Back to the Yanjing Military District," Lin Kuang ordered the pilot.

"Yes, Colonel. Understood." The pilot imdiately changed course and headed straight for Yanjing.

Lin Kuang watched Mu Wan with a smile, while she shot him a couple of irritated glares. This guy is getting more and more infuriating.

"Hey, honey, co sit here," Lin Kuang said with a cheeky grin, completely unfazed by her anger.

"Just stay over there. I can’t be bothered with you," Mu Wan retorted.

"Ahem, honey, getting angry is bad for your health. Besides, won shouldn’t get angry; it gives you wrinkles, you know," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

"What about it? Are you going to dump if I get wrinkles?" Mu Wan glared at him, speaking fiercely.

"Ahem, how could I? I’d still love my Wan’er even if she turned into an old granny," Lin Kuang chuckled, scooting closer to her.

Hearing this, Mu Wan glared at him irritably. "You’re the old hag, you jerk!"

"That’s not what I ant! My Wan’er is so beautiful and young, how could she ever beco an old hag?" Lin Kuang said with a laugh as he pulled Mu Wan into his embrace.

Mu Wan put up a symbolic struggle for a mont before relaxing into his arms.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang let out a hearty laugh, feeling quite pleased with himself.

Just like that, the helicopter carried them back to the Yanjing Military District, arriving just as dawn broke. The helicopter landed and ca to a steady stop. Only then did Lin Kuang take Mu Wan’s small hand and lead her out of the cabin. Outside, Lin Guodong and Lin Zhan were standing there quietly.

When they saw Lin Kuang and Mu Wan erge unscathed, the two n finally breathed a sigh of relief. After all, with one being his father and the other his uncle, it was impossible for them not to be biased in Lin Kuang’s favor.

"Welco back," Lin Guodong said with a smile.

"Thank you, General," Lin Kuang and Mu Wan responded with smiles of their own.

"Mu Wan, congratulations on your return," Lin Zhan said, his smile genuine. "Lin Kuang, congratulations on becoming an official mber of Dragon Front."

Lin Zhan was overjoyed to see Lin Kuang and Mu Wan return alive. Yu Chong’s betrayal had caught him completely by surprise. The betrayal had turned what should have been a relatively easy mission into a perilous one that even required fighter jet deploynt. Fortunately, both Lin Kuang and Mu Wan were seasoned warriors; otherwise, making it back alive would have been far from easy.

At Lin Zhan’s words, smiles blood on both their faces. Mu Wan was happy to be alive and back in her ho country, while Lin Kuang was thrilled to have finally beco an official mber of Dragon Front!

"Thank you, Captain," they both said, their spirits high.

"Alright. Lin Kuang, you co with to handle the paperwork to make you an official mber of Dragon Front. Mu Wan, you co as well. It’s ti to restore your status," Lin Zhan said, his usually stern face breaking into another smile.

Lin Kuang and Mu Wan both nodded and followed Lin Zhan.

Returning to the underground facility that housed Dragon Front, they followed Lin Zhan and completed the necessary procedures.

Once everything was done, Lin Zhan explained, "Alright, Mu Wan’s status has been restored, and Lin Kuang, you are now an official mber of Dragon Front. Normally, when you don’t have a mission, you aren’t required to stay here. You are free to do as you please. However, when a mission arises and Dragon Front needs you, you must return imdiately."

Lin Kuang and Mu Wan nodded. The arrangent sounded incredibly flexible, which naturally appealed to them.

"Dragon Front has thirty-six mbers. Including you two, that makes thirty-eight. The others are all currently active on outside assignnts," Lin Zhan continued. "Here is their information. morize their nas. They will also receive your photos and files. This will prevent any trouble should you cross paths in the future."

With that, Lin Zhan placed a laptop in front of them, displaying the photos and information of the thirty-six mbers of the Dragon Front organization. Lin Kuang and Mu Wan carefully studied the files of their new comrades-in-arms.

Ten minutes later, they had committed every mber to mory.

"Captain, we’ve morized them," Lin Kuang said, looking up at Lin Zhan.
