However, Fan Wudao was well aware that since Lin Kuang had even taken out Fan Zeyu, it was sufficient proof of his strength. To eliminate Lin Kuang, he would need to deploy an even stronger opponent. Yet, Fan Wudao was unwilling to expose the Fan Family’s secret forces, which left him sowhat conflicted.
"Lin Kuang, oh Lin Kuang, you truly are a headache for ," Fan Wudao muttered with a dissatisfied tone. "And those worthless fools in the Assassin World... Dark Blood has a ten-billion bounty out, and still no one has taken you down. What good are any of them?!"
Lighting a cigarette, Fan Wudao smoked it quietly. Once it had burned down to the filter, he made his final decision.
I have to kill Lin Kuang. Otherwise, his relationship with Fan Bingbing poses a considerable threat to my position as Family Head.
Lin Kuang, oh Lin Kuang, you should feel honored. For you, I’m even deploying the Fan Family’s secret forces. With that thought, Fan Wudao stood up and left.
anwhile, the fifth-ranked super expert of the Assassin World, known as Yin, was also on the move, heading toward Hua Country. At the sa ti, the military of the Island Country also sent a team directly to Hua Country. This ti, they were determined to eliminate Lin Kuang, who had ruined so many of their plans. The group from the Island Country was led by none other than Miura Ken, the master of both Inoue Kenta and Kubo Takumi. He was a formidable martial artist with a resounding reputation in his holand.
Forces from three factions were now on the move, all of them experts. This spelled a looming crisis for Lin Kuang.
At this mont, Lin Kuang was oblivious that so many experts were now en route to Hua Country. He was asleep with his beautiful wife in his arms.
The night passed without incident. The next morning at five o’clock, Lin Kuang woke up on ti, washed up, and went to the manor to practice Tai Chi Chuan.
As he practiced, Lin Kuang felt extrely good. The power within him kept improving—an ascent he himself could not understand. It was as if his body had rged with nature, with the Force of Nature surging wildly into him, giving him an indescribably wonderful sensation.
After more than an hour, Lin Kuang finished his practice. He stood quietly in the manor, enjoying the feeling of the Force of Nature flowing around him.
Phew, this feeling is intensely exhilarating, Lin Kuang mused.
"Brother-in-law, ti to eat," Mu Chengzhen called out.
"Oh, coming," Lin Kuang replied with a smile, turning to walk into the villa.
In the main hall, Mu Junwen, Mu Wan, and Mu Chengzhen were already seated at the dining table, while Zeng Yuxiang was placing dishes on it.
"Kid, co and eat," Mu Junwen said with a smile, waving Lin Kuang over.
Lin Kuang nodded with a smile and sat down beside Mu Junwen.
Once the al was ready, they all began to eat. Although it was just an ordinary ho-cooked al, Lin Kuang ate happily; the warmth of it all made him feel like he was truly at ho. After breakfast, Zeng Yuxiang and Mu Wan began to clear the table while Lin Kuang and Mu Chengzhen chatted nearby. Mu Junwen had already left for the military district.
"Phew, finally done with that," Mu Wan muttered as she ca out of the kitchen.
"Co have a seat," Lin Kuang called out with a smile.
"Okay," Mu Wan replied, sitting down next to him.
"Where are we going today?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile, looking at Mu Wan beside him.
"I don’t know," Mu Wan said after a mont’s thought, her beautiful eyes resting on Lin Kuang. "How about a stroll around West Lake? It’s been a long ti."
"Yeah, that sounds good," Lin Kuang nodded. "They say the West Lake in Hangcheng is the most beautiful, and I still haven’t seen it."
"Then it’s settled, let’s go!" Mu Wan said enthusiastically, clearly eager to leave.
"Sis, it’s only seven o’clock. Why are you in such a hurry?" Mu Chengzhen interjected, puncturing her excited mood.
"Because I want to go! It’s none of your business," Mu Wan snapped, glaring fiercely at her brother.
Seeing this, Mu Chengzhen imdiately deflated. Who could bla him for being afraid of his older sister?
"Ahem. Wan’er, let’s sit for a little longer. It’s still early; we can go later," Lin Kuang said with a smile, gently taking Mu Wan’s small hand.
"Hmph. Fine, just for you then," Mu Wan huffed, plopping down beside Lin Kuang.
Seeing this, Mu Chengzhen couldn’t help but roll his eyes. She really does forget all about her brother now that she has a husband!
Of course, Mu Chengzhen didn’t dare say this out loud; he only grumbled internally. Otherwise, heaven knows what Mu Wan would do to him.
Around eight in the morning, a deep blue Lamborghini pulled up to the gate of the Mu Family’s villa, and a man got out. He appeared to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, tall and imposing with a sowhat rugged look. However, a pair of gold-rimd glasses on his nose tempered his fierce aura, making him appear quite refined, like a senior executive.
The man walked into the manor with confident strides, pushed open the villa door, and walked directly into the main hall as if he were very familiar with the place.
As the man entered, Lin Kuang and the others in the room turned their gazes toward him.
"Brother Bai, why are you here?" Mu Chengzhen asked with a smile. They seed to know each other well.
Bai Longming’s gaze, however, didn’t land on Mu Chengzhen. It was fixed on Mu Wan, his eyes filled with excitent and disbelief.
"Wan... Wan’er, is that really you?" Bai Longming asked, his voice tense with excitent. He rushed to her side without even taking off his shoes.
Looking at Bai Longming, a slight smile appeared on Mu Wan’s pretty face. The next mont, she stood up and said, "Brother Bai, long ti no see."
Mu Wan certainly recognized him. It was Bai Longming, the son of Hangcheng’s mayor. They had known each other since childhood. As they grew up, they rarely saw each other, which was inevitable due to Mu Wan’s military career. However, every ti Mu Wan returned ho, Bai Longming would co to visit her.
Of course, Mu Wan knew Bai Longming had feelings for her, but she didn’t feel the sa way. However, he always took such great care of her that she felt too bad to reject him outright. His sudden arrival today was a surprise, but regardless, they were still on good terms.
"Wan’er, is it really you? This is fantastic, you’re alive! I thought you had died," Bai Longming said excitedly, reaching out and pulling Mu Wan into a hug.
Mu Wan didn’t mind a simple hug, but Bai Longming held on and didn’t let go...
Before Mu Wan could say anything, Lin Kuang spoke up. "My dear Wan’er, who is this?"
