"Principal, what's wrong with you?" Su Su, who had been comfortably sipping her tea, saw Zhao Hong standing stock-still and instinctively rose to approach him in surprise.

It's just a seal, isn't it? Is it worth all this? Although she outwardly respected the principal, deep down she wished she could trample him underfoot and take his place. Look at that pathetic coward, what an embarrassnt.

After taking two steps forward, eight large, bright red characters on the docunt leaped into her view.

"This…"

A marshal's seal!

This… this is the marshal's seal of the War God of the State!

Instantly, the vice principal who had just been ridiculing Zhao Hong stumbled back several steps. Her knees trembled, and she plopped right onto the floor as cold sweat beaded on her forehead and rolled down.

Zhang Yan, witnessing this scene, was dumbfounded. What in the world was happening?

"You… you are him?" Zhao Hong braced himself against the desk with both hands, nearly passing out from the shock. This… This is the War God of the State who just won a major victory?!

"The War God of the State?" Su Su whispered, collapsing to the floor in utter despair.

Zhang Yan was speechless.

The War God of the State who, just after taking office, pushed the border out by another hundred miles and planted the battle flag in the Barbarian Capital… This...

In an instant, the atmosphere in the room solidified, becoming oppressively stifling. Zhao Hong, who monts before had been insufferably arrogant with an air of being the law unto himself, now retreated several steps in a disoriented state, his face as pale as paper with horror. He could have wracked his brain all day and never imagined that this unremarkable-looking man was the legendary Lord War God.

His title: Carefree.

He could also be called the Carefree War God.

Reviewing his battles, every single one was a crushing, overwhelming victory. He was, indeed, worthy of the na Carefree War God. Especially the most recent battle. Even when the Barbarians retaliated with the full might of their empire, what was the result? A total collapse upon contact. If the Lord War God hadn't held back, the entire Barbarian race would have been exterminated.

And he had t such a great personage himself.

Su Su, who had been so wildly arrogant, now gasped for breath, trying to force herself to calm down. But the more she tried, the more violently she trembled, her heart feeling like it was about to explode. Zhang Yan clutched the hem of her dress with one hand and covered her mouth with the other. She had rely thought the man had an unusual air about him, but who could have guessed his true identity was so world-shaking?

KNOCK, KNOCK.

Yang Hu tapped the table. "You were told to bring that big shot here. Rember, you have twenty minutes."

Chen Yang had already turned and walked out of the office. Standing in the corridor, he lit a cigarette. The principal of a kindergarten should be a role model for others. Yet this one was helping a so-called big shot bully a parentless child. And when the child's guardian ca to confront him, his attitude was unbelievably arrogant. Honestly, if Chen Yang hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed it.

Rotten to the core.

Zhao Hong didn't dare delay any longer. He quickly pulled out his phone and dialed the number he had only recently saved and had been cherishing like a treasure. Wiping away a continuous stream of cold sweat, the principal kept the call brief. He simply inford the other party that the orphan, Shanshan's, guardian had shown up demanding an explanation. He urged him to co over imdiately, warning that the situation would otherwise spiral out of control.

After getting an affirmative response, Zhao Hong breathed a small sigh of relief. If the other party had decided to wash their hands of the matter, he truly wouldn't have known what to do.

The person had only just left, so in less than fifteen minutes, a limited-edition luxury vehicle slowly drove onto the campus. Two young, able-bodied n in black suits and sunglasses got out first. After opening the rear door, they stood respectfully on either side.

A pair of black high heels was the first thing to erge, followed by a pale-yellow long dress. The woman had voluminous, wavy hair and a delicately made-up face set with a pair of blue-toned aviator sunglasses. A Van Cleef & Arpels necklace glittered brilliantly. In her early thirties, she exuded an aura of wealth that felt distinctly out of place in a school. Instantly, she beca the focus of every teacher and student nearby.

She smoothed her hair, lit a cigarette, and swept a glance across the area. Then, with a sway of her slender waist, she started toward the building, her heels clicking loudly. She carried the distinct air of a worldly woman. Two young bodyguards followed closely behind, maintaining a respectful distance.

Chen Yang glanced over, his face impassive.

The woman, whose real na was Hu Ting, seed to sense his gaze. She looked up slightly, her eyes eting Chen Yang's. The corner of her mouth twitched into a faint smile.

CLICK-CLACK-CLACK.

The sound of her high heels was crisp and sharp on the pavent.

Before Chen Yang could even turn away, Hu Ting exhaled a long plu of smoke and said coolly, "She's just so wild girl with no background. She was never qualified to attend the sa school as my son. What kind of explanation could you possibly want?"

"Are you thinking of using this school as a platform? Have the wild girl get friendly with her classmates so you'll have an easier ti latching onto their families later?" Hu Ting flicked the ash from her cigarette and pushed her sunglasses up onto her head, revealing a pair of sharp phoenix eyes and a look that said she had seen right through him. In one short breath, she had given a masterclass in being sharp-tongued and cruel.

Yang Hu's eyes flashed with nace. His fists clenched involuntarily as a dangerous aura began to roll off him.

However, the two young n behind Hu Ting were not the least bit afraid. Instead, they shot Yang Hu a devilish, mocking smirk, their eyes full of provocation.

"Brother, you look angry. If you don't want to die, you'd better swallow it," one of the bodyguards, a young man with bangs covering one eye, said with a malicious grin, pretending to offer friendly advice.

"A martial artist?" Yang Hu asked, unclenching his fists and cracking a smile.

The young man, Guo Kai, unbuttoned his suit jacket with one hand, his smile widening. "You've got a sharp eye."

With one hand on her chest and the other holding her cigarette, Hu Ting slowly approached. She sized up Chen Yang, a look of surprise in her eyes. This man… The aura he gives off is so captivating. It has a certain charm to it. So dominant and sharp… he must be very powerful. Interesting.

"I have to say, you're not as repulsive as I expected," she said, stopping a ter away from Chen Yang. Despite being a full head shorter, she carried herself with an air of superiority.

"Explain," Chen Yang said, leaning against the corridor railing, completely ignoring the woman's flirtatious charm and the cloying scent of her perfu.

Hu Ting was slightly displeased. Did her looks count for nothing? Normally, what man doesn't stare at as if his soul has been hooked? But this guy in front of isn't even batting an eye?

Heh... A flash of anger rose in her. Taking a drag from her cigarette, she pointed to a small child playing a ga in the luxury car. "Do you know my son's status? And what is that wild girl's status?"

"How could I let a bastard child pollute my son's innocent heart?"

"My point is, unless they are from a powerful and noble family, no one is qualified to be in the sa class as my son. Do you understand now?"

Chen Yang nodded. "Go on."

"Hmph!" Chen Yang's indifference made Hu Ting laugh in fury. She crushed her cigarette butt and raised a hand, showing off five long fingers with brightly colored nails, though her index finger was conspicuously bare. "And don't even think about using your kid to build connections with us parents! To eliminate that possibility, I naturally had to make her get lost!"

"As parents, we all want what's best for our children," Hu Ting said, blowing on her fingertips and looking Chen Yang straight in the eye. "And it's best for certain bastards to stay far, far away. Don't you agree?"

Seeing Chen Yang remain silent, Hu Ting pressed, her voice hardening. "Hmm?"

"Those who bully the weak," Chen Yang stated, his hands clasped behind his back, his lips barely moving.

Yang Hu finished the thought. "Deserve to be slain!"

Hu Ting: "…"

Everyone: "…"
