“Can I really run into familiar faces here?”
Lin Chen turned his head to look at Xiong Yaxiong and Hu Yunlai, only to see that the expressions on their faces darkened simultaneously.

The middle-aged man smiled and said, “You all are here to enhance the combat power and survival rate of all disciples. Who isn’t? Everyone just uses their own ans. If you can’t manage on your own, who can you bla?”
The middle-aged man’s gaze swept over Lin Chen, who was walking ahead of Xiong Yaxiong, and asked with puzzlent, “Who is this? Is he also from the Haoran Sect? Why haven’t I seen him before?”
Chi Ya introduced him coldly, “This is Lin Chen, the newly appointed Sect Master of our Haoran Sect!”
“Eh, when did your Haoran Sect get a new Sect Master?”
The middle-aged beautiful woman beside him spoke up in surprise, sizing up Lin Chen, “Sect Master Lin, you look very young!”
Xiong Yaxiong preempted in introducing, “Sect Master, these are the Sect Master Zhou Ping of the Haohuo Sect and two Hall Masters, Chen Ming and Wen Xiu. We have a long acquaintance and were competitors in the past…”

Zhou Ping looked curiously at Lin Chen, “Sect Master Lin, which departnt were you in before?”
Lin Chen replied, “I had just arrived in the Crimson Immortal Domain.”
Before Zhou Cheng could inquire, Chi Ya had already taken the initiative to explain, “The Sect Master made great achievents against the Demon Race in the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, and the Hall Master personally appointed him as the Sect Master of our Haoran Sect.”
“How could there be Demon Race in the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain?”
Hall Master Chen Ming asked with doubt, “You couldn’t have misspoken, could you?”
Chi Ya, however, didn’t explain and calmly said, “If you’re interested, you can go verify it with the Hall Master.”
They naturally didn’t dare. Although they were half-doubtful, considering such matters, the people of Haoran Sect surely wouldn’t dare to lie or fabricate the story. They soon reverted to a more respectful deanor.
“Impressive! It seems that with Sect Master Lin personally coming here, your sect will definitely secure the supplies.”
Lin Chen smiled, “One must always try; we can’t let the disciples go to the battlefield empty-handed.”
Zhou Ping clasped his hands, “Then you go ahead, we’ll talk when you’re free.”
Lin Chen nodded, clasped his hands in farewell, and entered the reception area.
Zhou Ping and the three others took another look at Lin Chen’s departing back and then left through the door.
Hall Master Chen Ming whispered, “Do you think what he said was true or fake? How could there be Demon Race in the Bitter Sea Immortal Domain, isn’t that nonsensical?”
Zhou Ping frowned, “It does sound like it might be fabricated, but declaring such a thing openly, if it gets exposed, wouldn’t that spell trouble? Moreover, the appointnt of this Sect Master shouldn’t be fake, right? Surely they wouldn’t prop up soone to impersonate a Sect Master?”
Hall Master Wen Xiu speculated quietly, “Do you think this Sect Master might actually be fictitious, a figurehead they concocted just to receive supplies? After all, those guys aren’t exactly straightforward; they’re capable of doing such things to achieve their goals.”
Chen Ming agreed, “Yes, the Haoran Sect has no backing, gets throttled by others. They package soone appointed by the Hall Master as a Sect Master. Those people probably wouldn’t check with the Sect Master because of this matter, since they are the ones withholding supplies – their fault. So how could they dare make a big deal out of it?”
Zhou Ping rubbed his chin, “Lin Chen’s actual strength is hard to gauge, but his deanor is indeed extraordinary, showing no signs of nervousness or stage fright. He doesn’t seem like an imposter…”p>
Chen Ming laughed, “Since he dares to co here, even if it’s fabricated, he must appear legitimate, otherwise, being found out and reported would be counterproductive, stealing a chicken only to lose the rice.”
