"…Honestly, I want to slow down." – said Thanatos as she sat down.

"The last fight against this bastard Mogu…. Rank 10…. He was definitely annoying…. This [Grey Death] class is really bullshit… No wonder Phantasia was dead set on getting it." - said Thanatos as she and the sli girl looked around, noticing that the entire area around was straight up lted.

(He was a high-ranking master ranker who specializes in negatives status like curses and poisons…) – thought exhausted Thanatos.

(I thought this would be bit easier, since that gal here have extrely high resistance to poisons and other stuff, and I myself posses so resistances, alongside the items that Phantasia made for us, in case of "friendly fire".)

"Attack!?" – shouted Maparapara as she instantly gotten ready to fight.

"Stealth user!" – shouted Thanatos as she quickly spotted the enemy who was hiding in the shadows, causing the masked vampire to use [Blood Blade: Blood Slash], firing of a slash attack projectile towards the hidden enemy.

However, as the projectile was about to reach the shadow, a figure suddenly leaped out of it and swung their blade, cutting the slash in half with their own skill.

(She noticed instantly the mont I ca even close to them!?) – thought the assassin player, who was none other than M.S.

"!"

(Wait, he is one of the random guys!) – thought Thanatos as the foe unleashed [Shadow Blade: Shadow Rise], unleashing a slash attack from their own shadow that grew in size as it was heading towards Thanatos.

However, Thanatos countered with her own [Shadow Blade: Shadow Rise], unleashing a sa slash column of shadow that clashed with M.S attack, destroying both attacks.

And Thanatos wasn't the only one who was on the move, the sli girl Maparapara instantly started growing in size, before then swinging her spiked shields around, trying to smash the assassin, but none of the attacks were hitting.

However, from the shadow of the shield, Thanatos jumped at the assassin, catching him off guard and landing a solid strike.

"[Blood Blade: Thorn Of Organs]." – Thanatos swung her sword, unleashing several tendril slashes of blood all around her that started wrapping around the hostile assassin.

"[Shadow Magic: Shadow Blink]!"

The assassin tried teleporting away to the shadow nearby… But the blood tendrils were locking him in place, straight up not allowing him to use any movent skill.

"[Brutal Shield: Clap Smash]!" - and as the assassin was bound by the tendrils of blood, the sli girl with her massive shields aid to sandwich the opponent between her weapons.

"[Mirror Magic: Mirror Barrier]!" – however, as the barrier were to smash the M.S, he suddenly manifested a clear glass sphere around himself, which ended up taking a hit and absorbing so of the impact, before then unleashing it back as the barrier shattered.

"!?"

(Counterattack?!) – thought Maparapara as her shields were knocked back… But not too far, as the sli tried once again smashing his foe.

(It wasn't enough?!) – thought M.S as before he could break free from the tendrils, he got smashed between the two spiked shields.

"[Shield Art: Charge Counter]!"

(WAIT! SHE HAS-)

The right shield erupted, unleashing a powerful shockwave in front of it, which dealt a critical amount of damage to the assassin.

"[Shadow Magic: Shadow Blink]!" - the blast however did ended up destroying Thanatos' blood tendrils, resulting in the assassin quickly disappearing and teleporting to the nearby shadows before Thanatos could decapitate the assassin… But it was worth it.

(Honestly, I'm not very thrilled about being attacked from the get go when we decided to rest… But still, thanks to him attacking like idiot, I still had build up damage from the fight we just had, which allowed to fire off that blast.) – thought Maparapara.

"I fucking know you! You are Mask!" - said the sli girl.

"Mask?" – asked Thanatos.

"He is the mirror user assassin that Magnus found sowhere! I played alongside him on the sa team during the previous tournant!" – said Maparapara.

"But back then he wasn't using his real nickna! He went by just a 'Mask'!"

"Add shadow build on top of that, since by the looks of things he has that!" – said Thanatos as she launched herself towards assassin and then instantly clashing her scythe with the M.S's daggers.

I don't fucking buy it that you are alone!" – said Thanatos as the M.S managed to knock back the scythe blade… But that was a faint, as Thanatos revealed her cannon attached to her forearm, which she blasted right in the assassin's face, unleashing a shotgun like blast that swallowed the assassin's entire body, dealing a massive damage and knocking back the M.S.

And right after getting blasted, Thanatos quickly swung her scythe from underneath, aiming for the quick finisher… But was instantly countered by M.S's daggers, which ended up saving the man and giving him ti to quickly leap backwards, dodging the massive spiked shield that was launched at him.

"Tch! Slippery bastard!" – said Maparapara.

"Hey. Are we playing with him?"
