Ding!!

[The host has been bitten by a werewolf.]

[The host is suffering from werewolf venom.]

Lucifer winced, a sharp pain flaring through his veins like fire. He staggered a bit, one knee nearly hitting the ground. His vision blurred for a second before clearing again. The chaos of the battlefield around him felt distant as the notification echoed in his head.

"Tch... system," he growled ntally. "What happens when a vampire gets bitten by a werewolf?"

The system’s voice replied without delay.

[A werewolf bite is deadly to vampires. There’s no known cure. However, the host need not worry. As a progenitor of the vampire race, this level of injury won’t kill you. You’ll be fine by sunrise. But... I can’t say the sa for your companions.]

Lucifer’s brows furrowed. His fists clenched.

"What do you an?" he asked.

[You’ll survive, yes—but that doesn’t an you’re immune to the effects. One of the symptoms... is uncontrollable rage.]

Lucifer fell silent.

The blood pounding in his ears. The wild, growing heat crawling under his skin. It all made sense now.

He exhaled sharply and glanced around. His eyes glowed a little brighter.

"Tch... I might end up tearing soone apart before the night’s over."

A mont passed. Then he smirked, but it didn’t reach his eyes.

"Great... just great."

Francisca paced, her arms crossed, eyes filled with worry. Her phone was still in her hand, her mother’s voice echoing in her head like a curse.

"There’s nothing you can do. He’s as good as dead. End him before he turns."

But she couldn’t. She just couldn’t.

"We have to kill him now," Angel said softly, but firm, standing by the doorway. Her eyes were locked on Lucifer, who lay trembling, his veins dark, jaw clenched tight. "I’m sorry, Francisca. It’s the best choice."

"You will not lay a finger on him!" Ruka’s voice snapped through the room like a whip. He stood tall, already fully healed, not a scratch on him. "That’s my brother. He’s got celestial blood. He’s going to survive. So don’t even think about it."

Even Ella, usually calm, looked stunned by how fast Ruka had recovered.

"You don’t understand," Angel shot back. "We saw how Lucifer destroyed that guy like it was nothing. He’s stronger than most of us—except Mob and Ken, and Ken isn’t even here."

Everyone shifted at that, the mood getting heavier.

"Mob can handle him," Temmy said, arms folded. "I can handle Mob. Ruka can too. So the three of us should be able to hold Lucifer down long enough. Worst case... we contain him."

She glanced at Mob. "No offense."

"None taken," Mob said calmly, then turned his eyes to Francisca, who was standing still now, holding a wooden stake tight in her hand. Her knuckles were white. She didn’t say a word, just waited.

Mob let out a quiet sigh.

"With Ruka and Temmy, I think we can hold him. If he heals. But if he doesn’t..." He looked straight at her. "I’ll drive the stake myself."

Francisca shook her head. "No... I’ll do it." Her voice cracked. "I’ll be the one."

Everyone went quiet. They all understood. Lucifer wasn’t just so vampire to her. He was her brother, her best friend, her world. And now, they might have to kill him.

CRACK—

A pulse of energy rippled through the house.

Then another.

And then—

BOOM!

The wall behind Lucifer exploded as his body was thrown back into it. He rose slowly, twitching, his back arched unnaturally. His eyes shot open—

Glowing red.

His fangs were out. His claws longer than before. Veins pulsed across his skin, black like ink. He growled low and deep, nothing human in the sound.

"...It’s started," Mob said, already stepping forward.

Lucifer vanished from sight.

CRASH!!

Ruka was thrown into the bookshelf, splinters flying. Lucifer appeared in the middle of the room, breathing heavily, rage twisting his face.

"Get him down—NOW!" Mob shouted.

Temmy lunged, her leg sweeping low—Lucifer jumped over it and smashed her into the floor. Ruka was already back up, arms crackling with light as he slamd into Lucifer’s side.

The room shook.

Lucifer roared and flung Ruka into the ceiling.

Angel moved, fast—daggers flashing—only for Lucifer to catch her mid-air and hurl her across the room like a doll.

"Mob!!" Ella scread.

"I know!"

Mob appeared right behind Lucifer and drove his elbow into his back. Lucifer barely flinched.

Then he turned, face to face with Mob.

Mob smiled faintly. "Alright, then. Let’s go wild."

They clashed. The floor cracked. The lights shattered. The building itself groaned from the force of their blows.

Francisca stood frozen, tears in her eyes, stake in hand.

"Co on, Lucifer... hold on just a little longer..."

Mob and Lucifer blurred as they moved—two forces colliding like titans. Fists slamd into flesh, walls shattered, glass exploded. Every strike from Mob was clean and heavy, but Lucifer... he didn’t care. He wasn’t blocking. He wasn’t dodging.

He was enjoying it.

Lucifer’s mouth stretched into a twisted grin, blood dripping from his lips. His claws slashed across Mob’s chest, sparks flying as they t his defense.

"You’re holding back, Mob," Lucifer growled, voice layered—part his, part sothing darker. "Let’s see the real you."

Mob’s eyes narrowed. "Fine."

BOOM!

A pulse of pure energy erupted from Mob, sending Lucifer flying back into the dining room. Chairs flew, the table split in two. Dust clouded the air.

Temmy reappeared behind Lucifer midair and kicked him down like a missile. The floor cracked as his body hit, but he rolled to his feet instantly, feral eyes darting everywhere.

"NOW!" Ruka shouted, dropping from the ceiling.

He drove both palms into Lucifer’s back, light surging through his arms like thunder. Lucifer scread—half pain, half rage—and twisted violently.

He stabbed his claws backward into Ruka’s stomach.

"RUKA!!" Ella shouted.

But Ruka didn’t let go. "I said... stay... down!!"

Electricity surged again, and Temmy tackled Lucifer from the front, slamming him into the wall and pinning him.

Mob grabbed heavy reinforced chains from the supply closet—they’d prepared for this. He threw them over Lucifer, wrapping him like a beast.

Lucifer thrashed. Scread. Roared. The sound pierced their ears. His strength wasn’t fading—if anything, it was increasing.

"Temmy, hold him!!" Mob yelled.

"I’m TRYING!" she snapped, struggling to keep his claws from reaching her face.

Francisca walked forward slowly, stake in hand, eyes wide and red.

"Francisca—" Ella reached out, but Mob raised a hand to stop her.

"She has to do this."

Francisca knelt in front of her brother. His fangs were out. His lips curled back. But his eyes... for a second...

Just a second...

They softened.

"Lucifer," she whispered, her voice trembling. "It’s . You hear , right? Please... just hold on. You’re stronger than this."

He growled. His head snapped forward—fangs inches from her face—but Mob pulled him back just in ti.

Francisca didn’t flinch. She pressed the stake to his chest.

"I swear, if you die on ... I’ll never forgive you."

Suddenly, Lucifer froze.

His whole body tensed. The veins across his skin pulsed violently. Black steam hissed out from his mouth and eyes. His whole body began to shake.

"What’s happening?!" Angel shouted.

"The venom... it’s burning out!" Mob said. "His blood is fighting back!"

Lucifer scread. A deafening, hellish roar that shook the walls.

The black veins started to retreat, vanishing under his skin. The glow in his eyes dimd. His claws shortened. His breathing slowed.

And finally... he went still.

Mob dropped the chains and stepped back, soaked in sweat. Ruka collapsed beside him, panting. Temmy let go slowly, still tense.

Francisca reached out and touched his face. His skin was warm again.

"Lucifer...?"

He blinked once. Twice.

Then whispered, "...You were gonna stake ?"

Francisca burst into tears and hugged him tight, laughing and sobbing at the sa ti.

"You bastard..."
