Outside the Imperial Academy, on the eastern side of the Imperial City, lay a sprawling manor.
This was the private residence of Mu Xue and Mu He.
At this mont, two beautiful figures stood facing each other.
One exuded an imperious aura, radiating a cold, haughty arrogance that kept everyone at a distance.
The other was graceful and poised, her aura serene and gentle, hinting at a mature, captivating charm.
"Mu Xue, why did you bring here?" Niu Kexin asked, looking at Mu Xue in confusion.
They hadn’t seen each other for a few days, and she had been planning to find Mo Qi to soothe her longing heart. Instead, she had run into Mu Xue, who had brought her here.
Mu Xue didn’t answer. Instead, she clapped her hands lightly.
THUD!
A dull thud, as if sothing heavy had hit the ground, made Niu Kexin’s heart tremble.
BUZZ!
A dazzling curtain of light descended from the sky, enveloping them both like a transparent do.
An irresistible pulling force settled over Niu Kexin, causing her to float slowly into the air and immobilizing her.
"Mu Xue, what are you doing?" Niu Kexin cried out in alarm. She unleashed her Cultivation, trying to struggle free.
But she quickly discovered that no matter how much power she exerted, it was useless against the binding force.
She had never imagined Mu Xue would move against her. After all, they were practically sworn sisters.
And while there had been so friction between them, it was nothing that should have led to this.
That was why Niu Kexin had dared to leave the grounds of the Imperial Academy and co all this way with her.
Mu Xue watched Niu Kexin coldly, still not saying a word.
She walked up to Niu Kexin, pried her mouth open, and forced an Elixir down her throat.
"You... What did you make take?" Niu Kexin tried to spit out the Elixir, but it dissolved the mont it touched her tongue, giving her no ti to react.
Only then did Mu Xue let out a breath, her expression one of imnse relief.
She sneered, "You’ll find out soon enough."
A terrible premonition washed over Niu Kexin.
’I should have been more careful!’
RUMBLE!
The curtain of light trembled violently. An extrely unstable teleportation force washed over her, and Niu Kexin’s vision went black before she lost consciousness.
When she woke again, she found herself lying on a bed.
She was in a small wooden cabin in a forest. Not far from her was a chair, and tied to it was a familiar figure—Mu He!
Mu He was unconscious, but his face was an unnatural, flushed red, and his breathing was heavy.
Niu Kexin was no longer the clueless young girl she once was. Connecting the dots, she quickly pieced together what was happening.
"Heh, Mu Xue! You’ve crossed my bottom line. You’re courting death!" For the first ti in her life, Niu Kexin radiated killing intent.
Not even back at the Niu Residence, when she was being tornted and abused by that middle-aged woman, had she ever been this furious.
As expected, her Cultivation had been sealed. But Niu Kexin didn’t panic. Instead, she let out a cold laugh.
Her Cultivation accounted for only a small part of her strength; her physical power made up the vast majority.
Having her Cultivation sealed wasn’t a significant blow to her.
She rose to her feet and stomped down hard.
BOOM!
The entire cabin splintered apart. The powerful force sent Mu He flying hundreds of ters, and he only ca to a stop after slamming heavily into a massive boulder.
"Get out here!" she roared, her powerful aura leveling the ground for dozens of yards around her.
Stationed not far from the cabin, Mu Xue’s expression changed at the commotion, and she rushed over.
"How are you unhard?"
Niu Kexin was completely unscathed and her clothes were intact, showing no signs of having been violated. This left Mu Xue utterly bewildered.
How could she have known that Niu Kexin had received a boon from Mo Qi’s Nine Transformations into Spirit? Her body had been remolded into a Half-Spirit Body, making her immune to all poisons.
How could a simple Poison Pill possibly affect her?
Niu Kexin said coldly, "Were you hoping sothing would happen to ?"
Mu Xue was stunned for a mont before she hardened her resolve. "Since it’s co to this, let’s not beat around the bush. Qin Daye will be mine, and you won’t be getting the short end of the stick with my brother."
Hearing this, Niu Kexin laughed.
’What is this? A business transaction?’
She suddenly found Mu Xue both pitiful and pathetic. The girl didn’t understand affection, let alone love.
"You don’t know Little Brother Mo at all," Niu Kexin said, shaking her head.
"Who’s Little Brother Mo?" Mu Xue frowned.
"See? You don’t even know his real na. Don’t you find that laughable?"
Mu Xue froze. ’’Qin Daye’ is a fake na?’
’But so what?’
"It’s just a na. I don’t care!" Mu Xue said.
"You might not care about the na, but what if the person himself is also a facade?" Niu Kexin added.
Mu Xue was baffled, having no idea what Niu Kexin was talking about.
"Enough nonsense! You’re going to agree to this today, whether you want to or not!" Mu Xue had no intention of wasting any more words on Niu Kexin.
’Since the Elixir didn’t work, I’ll just have to do this the hard way!’
Niu Kexin had no intention of keeping things peaceful with Mu Xue either. As it happened, she had recently learned how to fight, and she wasn’t afraid of her.
Just as a battle was about to erupt between them, a beast-like roar echoed through the forest, shaking the trees.
"ROAR!"
Having woken from his stupor, Mu He’s eyes were bloodshot. They held nothing but madness, devoid of all reason.
He imdiately locked his sights on Niu Kexin and Mu Xue. With a single leap, he appeared instantly before them.
’This is bad. The external stimulus woke him up early!’ Mu Xue thought, her heart sinking.
Mu He had been sent flying into the boulder by Niu Kexin’s aura, which had shortened the ti he remained unconscious.
In his current state, Mu He’s mind was consud by primal urges; he wouldn’t even recognize his own kin.
Neither Mu Xue nor Niu Kexin was a match for Mu He.
After all, Mu He’s Cultivation was at the Vajra Realm, while both won were still in the Purity Realm.
"ROAR!"
Before they had ti to devise a plan, Mu He roared and lunged at them.
Niu Kexin moved, retreating swiftly. Her physical strength was imnse, giving her far greater explosive power over a short distance than Mu Xue.
So by the ti she had already retreated several yards, Mu Xue was only just beginning to move.
As a result, Mu He tackled Mu Xue to the ground. Her body went rigid, and she completely forgot to resist.
Mu Xue had never, ever imagined that she would be hoist by her own petard.
"No! No, no, no!" Mu Xue snapped out of it, using all her strength to try and push Mu He away. But how could she possibly hope to move a frenzied Vajra Realm expert?
