Now reading: Chapter 90: The city of dwalfs from Versatile System, a Fantasy novel by DarkRiches.

Trevor looked at the screen in front of him and couldn’t help but let out a sigh of absolute disappointnt.

Now he was only limited to his few other cards,

all of which didn’t last as long as he would have really wanted them to.

Trevor took a deep breath and moved straight toward the endless void before him.

He wasn’t even sure how he would actually find the things he really needed to discover.

After walking a huge distance, he suddenly started falling down at a very massive rate.

Before Trevor could even realize that he had actually stepped into a hole, he had already hit the ground, passing out from the sheer collision.

"I really should have known better. Imdiately that thing blocked my attack, the agency was freaking right, they were explorers."

Alex paced around, his heart pounding so hard in his chest he could literally hear it.

He had already seen the system ssage, all the tasks that needed to be completed and everything,

but he had already been unconscious for only God knows how long. Trevor could very well already be in the last stage of the mission.

Alex’s eyes lit up slightly as a plan had already taken shape in his mind.

Even if Trevor was actually in the last phase of the mission, if he killed him, he would imdiately respawn. Hopefully his n would still be there, and they could kill him imdiately again.

But if he let him live, then either his n would not be there again, or Trevor would be granted a huge boost in his abilities.

Alex imdiately clenched his hands into fists. He was almost certainly not going to let that happen.

He imdiately charged toward the side Trevor had walked down, completely oblivious to it.

If he found Trevor, there was literally only one option.

Kill him, and kill him as fast as possible.

Trevor woke up as groggy as possible.

It was like he was just waking up from a very long nap.

Without wasting ti, he imdiately stood up and took the stance of soone ready for battle.

In front of him were two n with long white beards.

It was more than reasonable. This was obviously a dungeon, so creatures were ant to exist.

The n looked so short, it was like they had never grown past the age of twelve.

Their beards were actually very thick and long, but also well kept.

But their clothes looked worn out, like they had not changed them in forever.

And with the way they stroked their beards, it was more than obvious that they valued them far more than the clothes they were wearing.

"We know exactly what you seek," one of the n said, his voice husky, like he hadn’t drunk water for a whole sumr.

Trevor’s stomach turned imdiately.

The sll of the man was so bad it could make the weak throw up.

Trevor took a deep breath and then finally spoke,

"Please, who are you guys exactly, and who am I to you?"

His voice was laced with a mixture of uncertainty.

For the first ti, Trevor finally looked at the place he had fallen into.

"How do you actually plan to help ? I would really want to know about that," he said calmly, imdiately activating his essence. His eyes were still roaming around the crowd of people who were before him.

"Please, no, no, stop! Your power could kill us. We are powerless creatures without magic," the n before him explained carefully.

Trevor, on the other hand, knew he had arrived at a little civilization without powers.

"Please, all we seek is for you to help us kill a beast called the Breeder. It is capable of reproducing during battles, and its offspring are as deadly as it is," the n spoke before calmly kneeling in front of him.

"Please help us, please. We are helpless since we have no magic, and most of our people have been killed by this entity."

Trevor thought for a split second before responding,

"I’m sorry. I pray you find soone else, but right now I am not interested. I need to find a way out of here so I can complete my own task."

Imdiately, Trevor began trying to find a way out.

The only thing he could see right now was his mother’s nice smile, her warm hug.

He just couldn’t help soone at the risk of his mother dying.

Imdiately, the dwarf n fell to their feet and held his legs.

"Please help us, please. We would help you too," the dwarfs begged on their knees, almost on the verge of tears.

"Well, what exactly would you even help do? It’s not like you could actually help . You don’t have magic," Trevor said almost imdiately, tugging his legs free as he looked above, trying to find a way to climb back to the surface.

"Well, we have infinite knowledge. That’s our cheat, I guess. We would be able to help you answer any questions you have," the n spoke desperately, trying hard to make him help them.

Trevor paused for a bit and turned.

"Do you know..."

"Do you know where exactly the three primordial towers are located, yes or no?" Trevor spoke calmly. He knew deep down that he was running out of ti, and he didn’t really want to start any long talks.

"Yes, we do. And we could even make you a map. Just help us, please," the n begged, gripping Trevor’s feet again.

Trevor thought for so seconds before responding,

"Okay then, I will help you-"

Even before Trevor could finish his statent, the two n had already stood up and begun rejoicing with their companions.

Almost instantly, Trevor knew what type of dungeon this was.

He cald himself before speaking,

"On one condition."

Almost imdiately, the celebrations stopped, as if soone had said an abomination.

"I would need so people walking on the maps imdiately. I wouldn’t want to waste any more ti here once I am done," Trevor said, staring at the eager faces of the dwarfs as if asking if that was all.

"If you agree to my terms and conditions, then you can lead the way," Trevor said calmly, activating his essence again.

But this ti around, they were not scared. Instead, they were overjoyed.

Without wasting any more ti, they imdiately led the way.

Trevor imdiately started strategizing on how to take out the monster as fast as possible.

Even though he hadn’t really t the monster, he knew one thing about it.

It had the ability to reproduce clones in battle.
