The room was instantly plunged into darkness. His cold, handso face and strong, perfect physique vanished from sight, leaving only a dark silhouette.
There wasn’t much to see in the shadows, so Jiang Yunnuan looked away, rolled over, and snuggled under the covers. She was imdiately enveloped by a scent like pine and snow that seed to carry a faint chill.

Just then, the man walked over, took off his shoes, and lay down on the bed, causing the mattress to dip.
Jiang Yunnuan peeked from under her eyelids. In the darkness, she could vaguely make out his large fra lying flat on the very edge of the bed. His hands were folded over his stomach, his posture rigid. He was motionless and very quiet.
A vast chasm separated them.
’He’s sleeping so close to the edge, isn’t he afraid of rolling over and falling off? And to avoid touching , he isn’t even using the blanket.’
The sight made Jiang Yunnuan secretly grind her teeth. She was very unhappy. ’Does this guy really have to be so guarded?’

The pain itself was nothing to her, but being caught red-handed made her feel so guilty, embarrassed, and ashad that she cried out dramatically.

The man’s cold voice rumbled, laced with deep disgust and anger. He didn’t loosen his grip.
Jiang Yunnuan’s eyes darted around, and she imdiately chose to play dumb.

Hearing this, Ming Ye let out a cold laugh. He didn’t say anything more, but the hand gripping her wrist tightened, making Jiang Yunnuan frown in pain.
