Now reading: Chapter 112 -: 111 lone king’s inheritance.[2] from Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!, a Fantasy novel by Hastenslowly.

The bright white light suddenly exploded upward like a giant pillar shooting straight into the sky.

It was so strong it lit up the entire academy grounds as if it was dayti again.

The light soared higher and higher, almost touching the clouds.

"What’s this?" soone in the crowd shouted, eyes wide with shock and panic.

"What kind of shit is this now?!" a guy from the back cursed loudly.

"Teachers! Where are the teachers?!" another student yelled.

Panic spread fast.

Students started running away from the glowing pillar in the middle of the grounds, pushing and shoving each other to get farther away.

"Uriel..." Cecilia said softly, moving closer to him.

Uriel turned his head toward the light even though he couldn’t see it.

The strange energy coming from that direction made his skin crawl.

’Is that the Lone King’s inheritance?’ he thought.

From the shared mories of his main body, he knew the ti for it was very close.

Cecilia quickly stepped beside him and gently held his arm to support him.

"Paladins!" she shouted.

At once, at least ten knights in shining golden armor walked up and stood in front of them like a wall, protecting the Saint from any danger.

"Please retreat to safety with the Saint, Your Highness," one of the paladins said firmly.

They started moving Uriel and Cecilia away from the chaos right away.

Uriel, still unable to see anything, turned his head toward Cecilia.

"What happened? Why is there such a..."

"I will explain everything after we get to safety!" Cecilia interrupted him quickly.

She kept guiding him backward while the paladins ford a tight guard around them.

As they retreated, several professors flew overhead, rushing straight toward the strange pillar of light.

Even the Dean and the two senior professors, Lucian and Jaya, shot through the air toward it.

"Hey, old man, what is this?" Lucian asked as they flew closer.

The Dean’s ssy beard fluttered wildly in the wind.

A deep frown sat on his face.

"I have no idea..." he said. "But I have seen sothing like this before... though the light was purple back then."

"What was it?" Jaya asked, flying closer beside him.

The Dean stayed quiet for a mont as he stared at the bright white pillar.

Then he spoke with a serious voice. "Many years ago, when I was roaming the continent of Vahana, I ca across sothing similar."

"At that ti I hadn’t made any big breakthroughs yet. But after I stepped into that light... I received the Purple Lightning True Inheritance."

He paused, his expression turning grim. "Most probably... this is also an inheritance.

The mont the Dean finished speaking, Lucian and Jaya’s eyes widened in shock.

"An inheritance?" Lucian asked, his voice rising.

"You an... those inheritances we heard about in the old legends?"

Jaya added quickly. Their voices suddenly beca excited.

Everyone knew what an inheritance ant.

In class, they had been taught that in this world there are all kinds of people. So are a little crazy.

Not everyone, of course, many people just want to be rembered after they die.

So they create inheritances.

These could be different depending on the person who made them.

So were helpful.

Others... could be very dangerous, depending on how an or twisted the creator was.

But right now, none of that seed to matter to Lucian and Jaya.

"If this is an inheritance from an Infinite Core Great Expert..."

Lucian muttered to himself, his face lighting up with excitent, "then I will definitely reach the Infinite Core!"

Jaya wasn’t calm either. She had been stuck at the 1st Heavenly Trial for a long ti.

If she could get an inheritance that matched her own path, then maybe... just maybe she could finally pass the second trial.

The Dean looked at the two of them and shook his head with a tired sigh.

"You two are too excited. We still don’t know what kind of inheritance this is. It could be helpful... or it could try to kill everyone here."

But Lucian and Jaya barely heard him.

They kept flying straight toward the bright white pillar, eyes shining with hope and greed.

A few hundred ters ahead of the Dean and the instructors, Crypian and Alia stood still, staring at the bright white pillar with clear confusion on their faces.

Just a mont ago, they had been walking around without a care, talking about random things.

Then suddenly, this light had appeared out of nowhere and changed everything.

Right then, sothing strange happened.

A small, square box dropped straight into Crypian’s hands.

He blinked and looked down at it. The box was transparent and about the size of his fist.

Inside it... was sothing unbelievable.

A tiny galaxy.

It slowly moved inside the box, filled with countless shining stars.

Soft light glowed from it, making his face look pale and stunned.

Crypian just stood there, staring at it without saying a word, trying to understand what he was even holding.

"What do you think?" Alia asked from the side, her voice uncertain.

She had seen it fall into his hands. At the sa ti, that strange voice had echoed in their ears.

[Chosen ones, enter the inheritance ground. The key has chosen you. Now you shall be the successor.]

They had both been shocked. Almost at the sa ti, Crypian had thrown the box away in panic.

But sothing was wrong.

The box didn’t stay on the ground.

It floated back.

Again and again, no matter how many tis he threw it, the box would calmly fly back and land in his hands, as if it refused to leave him.

"Do you know anything about inheritances?" Crypian asked, his voice a little stiff as he held the box again.

Alia humd softly and placed a finger on her chin, thinking.

"Hmm... I read about them in a book," she said slowly.

"They are very rare. And very dangerous. But also... a once in a lifeti chance."

Crypian looked down at the small galaxy again.

"So if we go now... we can get sothing from it?" he asked.

Alia’s eyes shifted to the box in his hand. Her gaze grew more serious.

"It chose you," she said. "That ans you have sothing special. Sothing that matches it. That’s why you are the perfect one for it."

Before Crypian could say anything else, the pillar of light suddenly shook.

The ground trembled slightly, and the air grew heavy.

Then a loud voice echoed across the entire academy.
