A few days after the Student Council President election.
"Umm..."
Julius slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a familiar ceiling.
"Is... this my room?" he muttered softly.
He tried to sit up.
"Ugh..."
The mont he put weight on his left arm, sharp pain shot through his body.
"Fuck... it still hasn’t healed," he cursed under his breath.
He leaned his back against the wall for support and let out a tired sigh.
"Papa... get well soon..."
A small, sleepy voice ca from beside the bed.
Julius turned his head. There was Rosel, leaning against the side of the bed.
Her eyes had dark circles underneath, her face looked exhausted, and tear marks were still visible on her cheeks.
"Haa..." Julius sighed softly.
He reached out with his right hand, gently pulled her onto the bed, and held her close.
"She must be so tired..." he thought, looking at her peaceful sleeping face.
He let out another sigh and stared at the ceiling.
"Though I accomplished everything... it was really difficult," he thought quietly.
"If I didn’t have my All-Seeing Eyes, I would’ve definitely gotten caught."
He rembered the vision he had seen, the next 20 minutes playing out clearly in his mind.
"First, I broke the gate and used my signature spells to create signs of a big battle. I even used so brand-new spells that no one knew about."
"I then put the Divination Board into the space ring my mom gave . I already gave one to Rose, so the board is safe with her now."
"After that... as you can see, I tortured myself." He let out a long breath.
"It was painful, but it was the best option. If I had only injured myself a little, they would have gotten suspicious."
"But now, after seeing nearly die, their conscience won’t let them doubt ."
Julius looked toward the window, eyes calm but thoughtful.
"And from what I saw in the vision... soone had sent them a warning that a person was trying to steal the Divination Board. But they didn’t know who it was."
A small, satisfied smile appeared on his lips.
"Everything went according to plan."
But the satisfied smile on Julius’s face vanished just as quickly.
"But... who could have given them the information?" he muttered.
He thought for a mont.
"Is it the Zlycons?"
He shook his head right away. "No. I told them I’m the disciple of the great Sanachi."
"Until they confirm it themselves, they won’t dare act against . And if they did, they would try to do it themselves."
"What about Rose?"
Julius paused. "If I’m being honest, she has the highest chance of betraying . She still doesn’t have any feelings for and always frowns when she sees ..."
He thought about it for a few seconds, then slowly shook his head again.
"No... she won’t. Rose is the type who fights fair and square. She knows she owes for helping her win the election. She won’t betray no matter what."
"So now only one option is left..."
He stroked his chin, eyes narrowing.
"...a third person."
"And this third person is either a future-seer who can see through anything... or..."
His eyes turned cold.
"...soone who knows better than anyone."
Julius muttered to himself. It made sense. Only two people knew his objective.
The first was Rosalina, and the chances of her betraying him were very low.
The second was the Zlycons. But they wouldn’t betray him either. They couldn’t risk Julius exposing them.
So whoever sent the ssage... had to be a third party.
Soone close to him. Or soone who knew him very well.
Because the sender clearly knew his objective.
But how?
Julius had been careful. Very careful.
After thinking for a while, he ca to a conclusion.
Either soone had seen the future and had no connection to him...
Or there was soone who knew him better than anyone else.
And that person did not have good intentions toward him.
With that thought, Julius spoke softly—
"Alfred."
The door opened almost imdiately.
*Creak!*
Alfred walked in with his usual calm and respectful manner.
"You called, my lord?"
"Yeah," Julius nodded as he stroked his chin. "Alfred, are you still keeping an eye on those two I asked about?"
Alfred bowed respectfully. "Yes, my lord. I have been watching them closely."
"Good." Julius gave a short nod, looking satisfied. "Exactly one month from now... kill them both. Understand?"
"Yes, my lord," Alfred replied without hesitation. "I will make sure the task is completed."
Julius leaned back against the wall, lost in thought.
"I thought I wouldn’t need those guys again," he muttered to himself. "But it looks like it would be better to use them. Still... without getting rid of those two first, it’s impossible."
He nodded slowly to himself.
"It’s ti to kill them and take over that organization."
After settling that matter in his mind, Julius’s thoughts drifted to sothing else.
’So now that this is taken care of... let’s think about that mysterious person.’
He narrowed his eyes, staring at the ceiling.
"Who exactly warned the academy about the Divination Board? And how did they know I would go after it?"
A cold, dangerous glint appeared in his golden eyes.
’Whether it’s a future-seer who can see through everything... or soone who knows better than anyone...’
Julius’s lips curved into a small, sharp smile.
’They would need to keep an eye on ... but even then, it would be hard to predict that I would target the Divination Board,’ Julius thought, frowning. ’It’s absurd that soone would know sothing like that so accurately.’
He rested his chin on his right hand and thought hard.
’What kind of being could know I would go after the Divination Board? Am I missing sothing?’
’Rosalina wouldn’t do it. The Zlycons wouldn’t either... so who?’
He frowned as nothing was coming to his mind. ’Soone who knows like the back of their hand... yet hates enough to sche against ?’
"Did I wrong anyone?" He shook his head. "No... I didn’t. So why? And who?"
"Soone who knows ... yet hates ... Soone who knows ... yet hates ..."
As he kept mumbling the sa words, suddenly, his eyes lit up.
He looked straight at Alfred.
"Alfred," he said quickly, "you told the number of spies watching has increased, right?"
"Yes, my lord," Alfred, who was standing and waiting, replied. "Spies keeping an eye on you is normal, but the number has gone up a lot."
"By how much?"
Alfred thought for a second. "About 10 or 12 per day."
"10 or 12?" Julius’s eyes widened in shock. "Was it this high when I was still at the estate?"
"No," Alfred shook his head.
"Back then, there were very few, maybe one or two per month. But since we arrived at the academy... the number has increased sharply."
"Hmm..."
Julius fell silent for a mont, thinking deeply. Nothing clear ca to mind.
"Do one thing," he said finally. "Write down the data for every day. Note down exactly which days you caught how many spies, and everything else you noticed."
Alfred bowed. "Understood, my lord. I will prepare the report right away."
Julius leaned back against the wall, eyes narrowed.
A mysterious enemy who knew him too well... and hated him enough to ruin his plans.
Whoever it was... they were dangerous.
And Julius was determined to find out who they were.
