As soon as Emrys appeared on the battlefield, he felt sothing terrifying. A strong killing intent rushed toward him like an invisible wave. It was so powerful that it felt like a sharp sword trying to cut his body into pieces.
The air was filled with a deathly aura. It was cold and heavy, making it hard to breathe. Emrys could feel that this place was dangerous, extrely dangerous. Even a powerful Soul Master would find it hard to survive here.
He looked around and saw that the battlefield was huge. It stretched far and wide, with no end in sight. The ground was dark and cracked, proving that a great battle had destroyed everything here long ago.
All around him, there were dried-up corpses and skeletons. Most of the skeletons were human, while others belonged to strange creatures. Their bones were shattered, as if they had died in a terrible fight. So of the corpses still had armor on them, but the armor was broken and covered in dust.
Weapons were scattered everywhere. There were swords, spears, axes, and even giant warhamrs. So weapons were stuck in the ground, while others were lying next to the corpses. These weapons were old, but they still gave off a powerful aura, as if they were once used by mighty warriors.
Emrys stepped forward carefully. With every step, he could feel the killing intent trying to pierce through his body. If he was weak, he would have been killed instantly. He understood now that this battlefield had been a graveyard for countless warriors, a graveyard without a single grave but myriad corpses. Anyone who entered this place without enough strength would not survive.
Then, his eyes fell on sothing unusual.
In the distance, three golden doors stood tall. They were massive, and each one reached high into the sky. The doors were covered in beautiful murals, showing images of powerful ancient beasts.
One door had the image of a mighty dragon. The dragon’s body was long and covered in shining golden scales. Its eyes looked fierce, as if it was alive.
The second door had the image of a phoenix. Its wings spread wide, and flas surrounded its body. It looked elegant but powerful, as if it could burn anything to ashes.
The third door had the images of not one but many ancient beasts. There were giant tigers, massive wolves, and other fearso creatures. They all looked like ancient kings of the battlefield, ready to fight at any mont.
"Are the opportunities that the unfathomable expert left behind hidden behind these three doors?"
Emrys narrowed his eyes. These doors were not ordinary. He could feel an ancient and powerful energy coming from them. They were connected to the battlefield in so way.
But before he could get closer, the killing intent around him beca even stronger. It was as if the battlefield itself did not want him to approach the doors. The air trembled, and Emrys could hear strange noises.
However, Emrys did not stop. Instead, he took another step forward, and with ease at that. He didn’t force. It is just that the killing intent and the force wanting to stop him were not powerful enough to restrict his movents.
Nevertheless, it seems the unfathomable expert from ten million years ago had left behind quite a few tricks.
As he moved closer to the doors, the ground suddenly shook. A loud roar echoed across the battlefield, and a powerful force burst out from the golden doors.
Sothing was about to happen.
However, Emrys was not frustrated. He did not mind the roar and took another step forward. The ground under his feet felt cold and hard, but the killing intent around him suddenly surged toward him and then pressed down on him like a heavy mountain.
Nevertheless, Emrys simply waved his hand and the surging killing intent suddenly disappeared.
This happened because Emrys used "Disintegration" on the killing intent, and easily got rid of it. This is an ability that’ll work on everything. There is nothing in the world that this ability cannot disintegrate. It can disintegrate the energy itself.
Emrys didn’t stop, he continued to walk.
Soon, the sky seed to have changed color. Clouds fathered and thunderclaps sounded. The entire atmosphere changed in an instant. Clouds started flashing with red lightning, and the red lightning was filled with a destructive aura.
However, before anything could happen, Emrys directly used "Disintegration", and caused the clouds, red lightning, and all that terrifying phenona to disappear imdiately.
The trouble didn’t end there. As he continued to move forward, the ground crumbled and a deep, abyss-like pit ford. But Emrys directly teleported to the other side of the pit.
One after another, several dangers ca knocking on Emrys’s door, only for him to knock them out truly.
Finally, after a few minutes, he arrived right in front of a golden door.
All three doors were massive, but the one he was standing before was the biggest. Standing in front of it, Emrys felt it was towering over him like a giant wall. The dragon on the door looked even more alive up close. Its eyes seed deep.
Emrys reached out and placed his hand on the door. The mont he touched it, a wave of energy rushed through his body. The golden door humd softly, as if it recognized his presence, and shone with brilliant light.
And then...the door began to glow.
"Roar!"
A low but deep roar echoed from within the door that actually shook the battlefield. And then, the dragon suddenly turned its huge head, looking into Emrys’s eyes directly.
Emrys was surprised but didn’t look away. Instead, he also started to observe the dragon closely.
He could not understand what the dragon was trying to find in him. He could only let the dragon examine him with its huge eyes.
The dragon kept observing Emrys for a while before closing its eyes and going back to its previous position.
It was also at this ti, the glow on the door disappeared. The door was restored to its original state.
At the sa ti, Emrys suddenly felt that he was not ’destined’ to open this door. The path behind this door was ant for soone else.
Although he was confused, he didn’t linger on this sensation for long. Instead, he shifted his gaze to the door with a phoenix’s mural and started walking towards it.
