Emrys had three choices in front of him.
First option was to enter the Cosmic Battlefield, risk his life, and seek the Starry Holy Water to awaken the founder of the village and obtain the Key.
The second option was to refuse the challenge, avoid the dangers, and forget about the Key that could reveal an "extre." This path was safer, but it would an giving up on a great opportunity left behind by Ling Xiaolong for him.
Finally, the third option was for him to explore the inheritance site of the Spiritas from the Cosmic Era. It was a flexible choice. He could do it before or after going to the Cosmic Battlefield.
But Emrys had already decided. He was not afraid of danger. He decided to enter the cosmic battlefield and fight while looking for the Starry Holy Water.
The inheritance site could wait.
He had already made up his mind before the Spiritas even arrived.
Emrys remained quiet for a few seconds. His eyes were still fixed on the Spiritas nad On’ar Liss. His mind was calm, but thoughts moved quickly within.
He looked at the Spiritas standing before him who was proud, cautious, and clearly trying to read his expression. Emrys could also sense their tension and curiosity. They didn’t know what the monunt ant, but they feared that he did. That fear could quickly turn to hostility if they believed he had sothing valuable and refused to share it.
However, Emrys was not afraid of them. But it doesn’t an he was hostile to them.
In the end, he opened his mouth and said slowly, "This is indeed an ancient language. I was lucky enough to learn it years ago. According to the words written on the monunt...
Emrys stopped, then pointed gently toward the massive Soul Beast’s skeleton behind him, and then continued to speak, saying, "That thing is not an ordinary beast’s skeleton. It is the skeleton of a Dark Dragon Soul Beast, which used to be a very powerful Soul Spirit of an ancient Spiritas. This place is part of an inheritance site, one that was once used and left behind that ancient Spiritas long, long ago."
The five Spiritas’ hearts were stirred. Their eyes widened slightly in shock. Even On’ar Liss looked surprised.
And then, the excitent ca.
However, they didn’t lose their mind in excitent. Instead, they beca very cautious.
"Inheritance site?" On’ar’s voice echoed cautiously.
Emrys nodded. "Yes. I don’t know what kind of trials or treasures are hidden here, but this skeleton is the key to opening the door to the original inheritance site. All we need to do is touch the skeleton with our Divine Sense, and the door to the inheritance site will respond. But, as you already know inheritances never co without danger. If you choose to enter, you must first go through so tests and trials."
He paused for a mont before adding, "This is all that is written on this monunt."
Emrys stopped. He gave them no further detail. He didn’t ntion the monunt’s ssage, nor a single word about the Starry Holy Water, the Cosmic Battlefield, or the three chances of survival. That information was his alone. Whether it was a burden or an opportunity, it was ant only for him.
The Spiritas exchanged glances again. This ti, they could clearly see excitent in each other’s eyes. Even the quietest one among them clenched his fists slightly in anticipation.
Inheritance of the ancient Spiritas... What does this an?
It represent an opportunity that can might be able to make them strongest in the entire Spiritarium, or even give them the opportunity to go beyond Spiritarium, to that place ntioned only in the Book of Origin, which is about the origin of Spiritarium.
That book is a legend among Spiritas.
Nowadays, no one believes the content recorded in that book. However, all still hopes for those recorded contents to be true.
If this place is truly an inheritance site of ancient Spiritas, even the smallest reward from this place could completely change their fate.
Emrys stepped back with a calm face. He had said what he wanted to say.
He looked up at the silent monunt behind him. Soon, he would leave his body here, in the white space, and send his consciousness into the cosmic battlefield to fight, kill, survive, and search.
But for now, he simply watched, waiting to see what the Spiritas would do next.
Emrys watched the five Spiritas closely as they exchanged glances. They were even more alert now. His words about the inheritance had clearly stirred their interest, and their caution as well.
A mont later, one of them stepped forward and asked in a curious yet probing tone, "What about you? Are you planning to enter the inheritance site too?"
To their surprise, Emrys shook his head lightly and replied, "No, I’m not planning to enter."
What?
The five of them were surprised. Another one of them could not help but ask, "Why? You must know, since this place was left behind by an ancient Spiritas, it’s a rare opportunity. I doubt anyone would easily walk away from it."
The others looked toward Emrys with curiosity as well.
"I know myself well," Emrys shook his head and continued. "I’m not strong enough to face the dangers inside an ancient inheritance. I may look calm, but that doesn’t an I don’t feel fear. I do. I fear death, and I won’t walk into a place where death may co from anywhere."
The Spiritas looked at each other, clearly not expecting this kind of reply.
Emrys gave a light shrug, letting out a small sigh. "It was just a coincidence that I ended up here. I was wandering in the desert, and sohow, I ended up coming to this place. I never planned to explore anything. Now that I’m here, I’m simply thinking of how to leave this place alive."
Then his eyes swept across the area, and he added in a slightly sharper tone, "Maybe you haven’t noticed it yet, but we can’t fly here."
