Now reading: Chapter 367: Ch 367: Back To The Battlefield from Walker Of The Blue Sky, a Fantasy novel by RazaKarim.

A faint breeze passed inside the pit as Emrys stood up slowly. His body was radiating a quiet yet overwhelming presence. He swept his gaze across the sand-filled land around him. The giant skeleton of the Dark Dragon Soul Master was there, half-buried in shimring dust.

Emrys turned but didn’t find the two Spiritas. He doesn’t know where they’ve gone to. But their presence or absence doesn’t matter.

Now that he had the foundation of the ⟪Silent Devourer of All Paths⟫, his first task was clearly to test it.

As for how; it was obviously by returning to the Battlefield.

Thinking of the battlefield, Emrys couldn’t help but clench his hand, and the air around his palm twisted ever so slightly. An invisible force erged and then quickly vanished.

At the re thought of it, Emrys’s fingers slowly curled into a fist. The air around his hand rippled, distorting for a brief mont before fading.

Without wasting a second, he turned toward the monunt that lay there silently in the pit. Then he walked up and pressed his hand gently against its cool surface.

The mont he thought of entering it, a burst of radiant light engulfed him. The desert vanished and the pit was no more in his sight.

And just like that, he reappeared inside the vast white space, surrounded by nothing but silence and endless white light.

Emrys stood still for a heartbeat before closing his eyes. He thought of entering the battlefield, and with that single thought, his consciousness surged forward, leaving his body behind.

....

WHOOSH!

A cold wind swept past.

When Emrys opened his eyes again, the world around him had changed.

This ti, he found himself standing inside a dark, crumbling ruin, dimly lit by flickering blue torches that lined the broken walls. The scent of blood and death lingered heavily in the air. Black smoke curled from shattered stones, and distant roars echoed like dying cries of monstrous creatures.

He had once again appeared on the battlefield, which is more like a slaughterhouse of kings and World Masters.

Emrys took a deep breath and the first thing he did was to observe himself.

This ti, his body was different from the first ti.

Currently, he was wearing a black robe that was fluttering slightly in the soft breeze blowing inside the ruin. Aside from the black robe, he was also wearing a pair of black boots. But these boots didn’t seem to be ordinary. They appear to possess the ability to increase his movent speed.

His eyes slowly adjusted to the dim blue light flickering from the torches on the walls. Here, everywhere was blood, scattered flesh and bones, and skeletons. The air he breathed carried the heavy stench of dried blood and burnt flesh.

Emrys looked around.

Although it was a ruin, this place was not much different from the battlefield where Emrys had fought previously. It was all the sa.

Taking a deep breath, Emrys stepped forward slowly, and after walking for a few minutes, he paused beside a fallen pillar.

It’s not because of anything but due to a loud rumbling sound that ca from the front. The rumbling sound was followed by a sharp scream and the roar of a beast. The ground shook faintly before everything returned to normal.

Emrys’s eyes exuded cautious light. He knew a fight was happening up ahead. He didn’t know who it was, and he didn’t need to know. In this place, everyone was either hunter or prey.

Emrys didn’t know what kind of place this ruin was, but he was sure it was definitely a part of the battlefield.

As he moved, he noticed the eerie silence in this place was only occasionally broken by distant roars, crumbling sounds, and sotis due to the battle between human experts and demons.

Emrys didn’t have a single idea where in the world he was, and exactly because of this, he was very cautious.

Emrys waited for a while beside the fallen pillar. Once he was sure nothing else was approaching, he continued walking forward, moving through the broken and blood-soaked ruin.

Very soon, his gaze landed on three corpses sprawled across the cracked stone floor. They were all the corpses of Kings.

Their bodies were completely dismbered, with arms, legs, and even heads scattered across the area. The inner organs were ripped out and tossed around, staining the floor dark red. Blood had dried into a thick layer over the stone, and a tallic stench hung heavily in the air.

Emrys shook his head slightly at the grueso sight but didn’t linger for long. The sll here was far too thick to the point of nearly choking.

As he passed by the corpses, his eyes swept over their hands, and with a simple wave of his hand, the spatial rings on their fingers flew into his palm. Without bothering to check the contents, he tossed them directly into the white space connected to his consciousness.

Then, just as he was about to continue walking, he suddenly paused. His instincts flared intensely. It was as if death was looming right above his head.

Without hesitation, Emrys ducked down, and in the very next second, a wave of sharp wind sliced through the air, passing right through the spot where his neck had just been. The air hissed as the wind cut through it, leaving behind a long, deep mark on the ruined wall behind him.

Emrys didn’t hesitate to move. His body flashed and vanished from his spot. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared several ters away.

Turning back, his eyes narrowed as they fell on a demonic figure standing amidst the ruins.

Unlike the Blood Wing Demons he had encountered before, this creature was different. It looked more like a demonic beast than a humanoid demon. It stood on four legs, and two pairs of dark bat-like wings extended from its back. The wings were glowing fiercely and standing up straight, facing the ceilings of the ruin. Its body was covered in strong black scales that glead dully under the blue torchlight.

Its mouth was slightly open, revealing two sharp fangs that jutted outward nacingly.
