Everyone who had been waiting in great anticipation felt like the carpet was pulled from under them once Lin Mu revealed what he had just made.
"It's not a pill?"
"Not an elixir either?"
The people questioned out loud feeling stumped. After all, the Purple Clouds of the Alchemical Will were associated with Alchemy and it would make sense that it would only appear when an alchemical product was made.
But what Lin Mu had just revealed didn't seem to fit the norm.
Even the Emperor was stumped at this along with the the others including Grandmaster Lao.
"Imperator, could you show it to us?" Grandmaster Lao asked. To him, getting a personal look at the product was absolutely needed as without that there would be no confirmation on the type of product that was made. After all, to him, it was entirely possible that Lin Mu was hiding the real product and might state a false one.
He could also understand his reasons on so level as the possession of such a material would most definitely invite envious desires from people. Grandmaster Lao simply hoped that Lin Mu was telling the truth and that he could get a look at it.
"Alright." Lin Mu's words brought relief to everyone as he took out the small vial.
The vial was made out of Refined Jade and was one of the common type of vials used to hold Alchemical Products. It also had sealing runes on it, that prevented the products from losing any of their potency.
This made their hopes rise up again, thinking that it was really an alchemical product. The Grandmaster gazed at the golden fluid inside the vial and his eyes locked onto it.
He tried to analyze it visually but it was hard for him to confirm anything more than the fact that it was indeed potent.
"If I may take a look?" Grandmaster Lao requested.
Lin Mu gazed at the Emperor for a mont, feeling hesitant in giving this to soone he had just t now.
"Grandmaster Lao is the top Alchemist from our world and is also part of the Immortal Court. You can trust his judgnt." Emperor Feng understood what Lin Mu might be thinking so gave a quick explanation.
"So it's Grandmaster Lao." Lin Mu acknowledged the elder and finally handed the vial to him.
While this would be risky to most cultivators since they wouldn't want sothing so precious out of their grasps as the fear of loss would overwhelm them.
The old man carefully held the vial in his hand, and took a very close look at it. A few seconds later, he carefully unsealed the vial, allowing him to open its cap.
~POP~
As soon as he did though, an audible pop was heard as if a pressure was released.
"This aroma…"
"Heavens! What is this fragrant!?"
"Why is it making hungry?"
"Hungry? It's making feel so tired."
"No, it's making excited instead." The people watching all said having a mix of emotions. This was interesting to Lin Mu as well, since he had not expected such a reaction at all.
'This is new… Is the Aroma really that strong?' Lin Mu wondered.
Perhaps it was because he had been in the presence of the Tyrant Bull Marrow all this ti, the aroma didn't overwhelm him. Of course, he too felt like it was rather tempting and was wishing to consu it right away.
If not for the location, he would have already done it. Wishing to consu it back in his courtyard, he held back. But he didn't expect that he would be stopped right outside.
He had been confused at first, but he had heard enough to realize that he had caused a rather large scale issue in the entire Capital City. Even Lin Mu knew that he couldn't get off without explaining a bit about things when a Heavenly Phenonon had appeared.
As the people experienced a variety of emotions, Grandmaster Lao only had a single one.
Shock.
'What in the na of heavens is this?' The Grandmaster wondered as he slled the aroma of the marrow.
It did not have the usually bloody and fatty sll that marrow normally had. Instead, it felt like a highly fragrant dessert. Even looking at it made one have a desire to consu it and a faint sweetness appeared in their mouths just imagining it.
The Grandmaster tried probing it with his Immortal Sense but found it getting repelled right away.
"It's density is unreal." The Grandmaster knew what had just happened wasn't due to so restriction but rather the natural property of the refined marrow. "The refinent must be very high… How much did you refine this?" he couldn't help but ask.
"Hmm… I went one step ahead of the Instantaneous Triple Refinent." Lin Mu answered briefly.
"INSTANTANEOUS TRIPLE REFINENT!?" as soon as Grandmaster Lao heard that his hands trembled. If not for the fear of dropping the precious liquid, he might have had it even worse. Thankfully the man was well versed in this and quickly sealed the vial back up, stopping the pleasant sll from escaping.
It was a process that the Grandmaster had only read about and never actually seen being done. He himself had tried to do Instantaneous Double Refinent before and he had only succeeded with so lower value pills. His attempts at using them for better pills had failed at every try as he simply did not have the required control for it.
But now he was hearing soone say that they did not only Instantaneous Double and Triple Refinent, but rather sothing even beyond that.
The people in the crowd were a bit confused about all this, as they didn't know the process that Lin Mu was describing. After all, it wasn't sothing even most alchemists knew about.
If not for Grandmaster Lao here, there might not have been anyone to even recognize what Lin Mu had just made.
"If it's that then it's no wonder the Purple Clouds of the alchemical Will appeared." Grandmaster Lao spoke. "This Heavenly Phenona was not about the product itself, but rather the process that was used in its creation." He inford everyone.
"What does this an? There is a new thod for refinent?" the non-alchemists asked.
"Of course." The Grandmaster could tell that the precut had been through a deep refinent process.
It wasn't the sa as other materials that were a hundredfold, or thousandfold refined. These were usually solid materials such as tals and weapons. For materials like this multi level refinent was a common thing.
But the process itself was different, as it went through refinent after a completed cycle. Thus the complexity was actually quite low and the strain on the person making it was also lower.
But Instantaneous Double Refinent was way higher than that.
Not only could it be done for any material, the things made from it were usually higher in quality too. This was a process applicable to Alchemical Product too, thus it did not usually work for other materials.
Instantaneous Triple Refinent was above this and was already considered a lifeti achievent for alchemists to do it even once. But Lin Mu had went beyond that, setting a new standard for everyone to look forward too.
Lin Mu gazed at the Grandmaster who went through a sea of emotions before coming to terms with everything.
~SHUA~
The old man took out a token from his pocket and held it up high for everyone to see.
The token was in the shape of an alchemy cauldron and had the characters for 'Grandmaster' and 'Immortal Court's Alchemy Pavilion' carved on its two sides.
As soon as the people saw the token, they all went silent knowing that Grandmaster Lao was about to announce sothing big. Even the higher up mbers in the group were stunned at it, as it was sothing only those with a high authority in the Immortal Court could do.
"I, Grandmaster Lao the Alchemy Hall elder of the seventh Alchemy division of the Immortal Court acknowledge the work of Daoist Lin Mu and applaud his massive contribution to the world. It has been personally analyzed by , thus I fully approve of Daoist Lin Mu's work.
With this in mind, I declare that Daoist Lin Mu has pioneered a new frontier of Alchemy in the form of Instantaneous Quadruple Refinent!" he said out loud.
The Grandmaster's words sent everyone in a tizzy for a few seconds before they managed to compose themselves. Half of them wished to rush Lin Mu and ask more questions about it while the other half were simply scared about what was to co.
"Daoist Lin Mu, what na have you given to this material?" Grandmaster Lao asked. "As the creator, you are entitled to its na"
'That's way more than I ever expected.' Lin Mu thought to himself, as he went over the Grandmaster's Lao.
"I shall na it…. Four Fall Tyrant Bull Essence!" Lin Mu announced after thinking of so things.
