2748 Making A Statent

'A disciple? What kind of people bring their students to a place like this? Are they truly who they appear to be? I need to inform the manager...' The staff mber's perception of Lin Mu's group shifted drastically.

"Ah, of course! My apologies," the clerk corrected himself hastily. "Three distinguished guests and their disciple."

Behind them, hushed whispers and suppressed chuckles could still be heard among the other patrons.

Daoist Chu stepped forward, his smirk widening. "I'll take it from here. We'll take the Water Dragon Villa."

The clerk's eyes widened in shock. "The Water Dragon Villa? I must inform you—it's ten thousand high-grade immortal stones per night."

THUD!

A heavy sack landed on the desk with an audible thump, its contents unmistakable.

"We'll take it," Daoist Chu said nonchalantly.

Silence fell upon the reception hall. Patrons who had been quietly mocking the group monts ago now gawked in disbelief. Even the clerk stood frozen, montarily unable to process what had just transpired.

Lin Mu, Daoist Chu, Monk Hushu, and ng Bai stood unfazed, the forr's aura still lingering in the air.

Tonight, they wouldn't just be staying at the Imperial Ocean Quay.

They would be making a statent.

All the people watching were utterly stunned.

"Heavens, what did I just hear?"

"He's paying all at once?"

"From my experience, that sack contains at least a hundred thousand high-grade immortal stones if not more!"

GASPS

"That'll be enough for to cultivate for a decade!"

"I could buy so many mid-grade immortal weapons for that!"

"How can they afford it?"

The onlookers could hardly believe their eyes. As for those who had been looking down on ng Bai and Lin Mu's group, they suddenly felt their cheeks burn, as if soone had just slapped them.

"H-how long… how long do you wish to stay?" the staff mber stamred, unable to believe what he was witnessing.

"Fourteen days," Daoist Chu answered. "I've got all the paynt here—you can count it if you wish."

"No need! No need!" The staff mber could tell at a glance how many high-grade immortal stones were in the sack.

Just the immortal Qi fluctuations emanating from it were enough for him—and everyone else—to recognize its imnse value.

"Now then… what else do you need?" Daoist Chu asked.

"Ah, yes!" The staff mber, still flustered, rembered protocol. "I'll need sothing to confirm your identity."

This was also an opportunity for him to verify exactly who these individuals were. Initially, he had suspected they were rely posing as nobility, but now it was clear—they were anything but ordinary.

"Would this suffice?" Daoist Chu was not done yet. He retrieved an Immortal Court token and placed it before the clerk.

Gasp.

"The Immortal Court's token!" the clerk exclaid.

One look was enough for him to realize that the people standing before him were no re guests. In so ways, they stood even above royalty.

While the Shanxi Empire did not consider the Immortal Court its direct ally, it still acknowledged its imnse power and influence. Giving them due respect was an absolute necessity.

The staff mber imdiately changed his attitude.

"I sincerely apologize for my past transgression," he said hastily. "I accept your identity and grant you the stay."

He then turned to the nearby servants. "Bring them to the Water Dragon Villa at once!"

The servants moved quickly, escorting Lin Mu and his group toward their accommodations.

As they left the entry pavilion, they passed by the main building, a richly decorated structure adorned with golden filigree, elegant murals, and intricately carved pillars depicting scenes of celestial dragons and ocean waves. ng Bai glanced around but was noticeably more reserved this ti, determined not to embarrass himself or his master again.

Along the way, they were asked about any services they desired, including als, refreshnts, and leisure activities. They were also briefed on the many luxurious anities that the Imperial Ocean Quay had to offer.

"We offer fifteen different types of cuisines, have alchemists and formation masters available for any of your cultivation needs, and can arrange for weapons to be repaired or new ones procured upon request," one of the servants explained. "Oh, and we also provide optimum relaxation services of all kinds."

"Hmm… have lunch prepared in a while," Lin Mu ordered.

"What would you like, sir?" the servant asked.

"Everything."

"Everything?" The servants blinked in confusion.

"All dishes. I want to try everything."

"Of course!" the servant replied, hastily jotting down the order.

18:54

They continued their journey, crossing a series of elegant arched bridges spanning over shimring blue waters. Finally, they arrived at the Water Dragon Villa—the pinnacle of luxury within the Imperial Ocean Quay.

The villa stood majestically at the farthest bridge, its architecture seamlessly blending elegance and power. Spanning over seven hundred square ters, the structure resembled a grand palace rather than re lodgings.

Its most striking feature was a colossal statue of a water dragon, its sinuous form coiling around the villa, carved from deep sapphire stone. The dragon's eyes glead with embedded spirit crystals, pulsating faintly with ethereal blue light, as if watching over the estate.

Beyond its imposing facade, the villa was surrounded by a sprawling courtyard, complete with a ticulously landscaped garden, an artificial hill, and a stunning rockery adorned with cascading waterfalls.

Attached to the main villa were several smaller pavilions, functioning as individual suites, while open-air cabanas lined the serene pond—offering the perfect spot for ditation or relaxation.

And all this was built in the ocean of all places!

Along the way, Lin Mu noticed a few individuals casually fishing off the bridges. They reclined in lounge chairs, their long fishing poles dipping into the pristine waters below, waiting patiently for a bite.

"You can also fish here?" Lin Mu asked curiously.

"Of course!" the servant eagerly confird. "We provide all manners of fishing equipnt at your leisure. If you wish to venture deeper into the ocean, we also offer chartered vessels—at no extra cost."

"That sounds good." Lin Mu nodded, making a ntal note. Fishing could beco a valuable pasti during his stay.
