A slow, wicked smile spread across Lin Mo's unseen face as he felt Lin Mu's words.

Having finished looking through the room, Lin Mu was just about to leave when he felt a strange hum vibrate in the air.
"Hm?" Lin Mu turned back and saw the great sword mounted on the wall trembling, a faint resonance emanating from it.
He walked toward the blade, his instincts prickling. As his hand touched the hilt, a current of energy surged from it.

A strange energy flooded into Lin Mu's hand and coursed through his body like a cold river of steel. Deep within his Dantian, his Sword Intent stirred to life.
The Sword Intent took form—an ethereal, razor-sharp blade shaped from his will. At the sa ti, the image of the great sword materialized beside it, forged from the strange power that had leapt out from the weapon.
The two swords hovered in the space of his soul, glaring at one another like ancient rivals brought together by fate.

'They're competing?' Lin Mu thought, baffled by the furious speed of the engagent.
Their movents were faster than anything Lin Mu himself could perform. Within just minutes, they had exchanged hundreds of blows.

A pulse of power rippled through him as his Nascent Soul awakened.
It opened its eyes—eyes that contained the depths of a silent, destructive authority.
The Nascent Soul moved with calm purpose, flying toward the sword ford from his intent. It grasped it with both hands, wielding it like a sovereign holding the blade of judgnt.
Then, with one graceful motion, it slashed at the image of the great sword.
The strike was almost casual—but within it was profound strength and flawless technique.

The image of the great sword shattered into fragnts of glowing light, disintegrating under the might of the blow.

The physical great sword mounted on the wall fell still. The resonance ceased. Yet now, Lin Mu felt sothing new—a connection, a subtle thread linking the weapon to his soul.

"What just happened?" Lin Mu murmured.
'No… that can't be. The man certainly didn't have Sword Intent. I would've sensed it imdiately.' Lin Mu shook his head, his brows furrowing in confusion.
Driven by instinct and curiosity, he picked up the heavy great sword, testing its weight. Then he channeled his Immortal Sense into the weapon, probing deeper.

A vision ford in his mind—an illusory scene unfolding in the depths of his consciousness.
He stood in a vast, empty space, silent and tiless. Another figure stood nearby, back turned.
"Who… are you?" Lin Mu called out.
The figure turned to face him. The man had the look of a veteran warrior—his body worn by countless battles, but his gaze unbroken and full of pride.
"Thank you," the man said, voice calm and full of aning.
"For what?" Lin Mu asked, puzzled.
"For getting my revenge."
The weight behind those words sent a chill through Lin Mu.
"The inquisitor… Bernard. He killed you?" Lin Mu asked.
"Indeed," the man nodded. "It would've been one thing if he had killed in an honorable battle. But he used foul tricks—ambushes, traps, and poison. I was subdued by dozens, my cultivation sealed."
A flicker of rage lit the man's eyes.
"A heretic, he called ."
Lin Mu narrowed his eyes, his mind piecing it together.
"So you were caught in their trap too," he said quietly.
"Yes," the man confird.
"Who are you?" Lin Mu asked again.
The man's smile softened.
"Take care of it."
"What is its na?" Lin Mu asked.
"Soul Cracker," the man replied. "Though you may change it if you wish. Its true power is long gone."
His form began to fade, drifting into light.
"Wait—what do you an? Gone? How—?"
But the vision dissolved before Lin Mu could finish.
SHUA!
Lin Mu's eyes opened. He stood once more in the real world, the great sword cradled in his hand.
He looked at it differently now—not just a weapon, but a legacy.
"Soul Cracker… I shall use you well." Lin Mu whispered.
HUMM
The sword trembled once in response, as if acknowledging him. Then it fell still.
Lin Mu stored the weapon within his ring for the ti being. He would test it later—this was not the place for trials.
Still, he hadn't expected to find such a powerful and storied weapon here.
'A rather interesting find,' he thought, wondering what mysteries still slumbered within the blade.
He turned his attention to the other weapons on display and checked them with his Immortal Sense. But they were different—cold and inert, imbued with an energy that felt repulsive to him making him feel uneasy.
