The Fourth Stage: True Internal Resonance.

It was a realm that none knew of—where one's chant no longer resonated with re body or spirit, but with the very truths of existence. Lin Mu, however, remained seated in stillness, his expression calm and detached, as if he were rely a leaf adrift in an eternal stream.

Yet beneath that placid exterior, a spiritual transformation was taking place unlike anything seen in the Green Lotus Temple's long and venerable history.

Outside the temple, across the sweeping hills and groves of the sacred mountain, flocks of birds suddenly took flight. Deer halted mid-step. Streams slowed, as if the world itself paused to witness what was unfolding atop Preaching Peak.

Even the clouds above parted.

A shaft of golden light broke through, as though the heavens themselves bowed before the serenity blossoming in Lin Mu's heart.

Ti passed like a gushing river. Not a single person within the territory of the Green Lotus Temple could feel it though.

Everyone from the newly joined pupils who were re servants, to the Abbot himself were drawn into a slumber of enlightennt.

The world outside the Green Lotus Temple knew nothing of what was happenign there, but a few passersby noticed the golden light shining down upon the temple.

It was far too glaring for them to miss it.

"What's that?"

"Is that so sort of tribulation?"

"Doesn't seem like it. It's too calm."

"It feels pleasant, doesn't it?"

"It sure does... Wait, is soone undergoing enlightennt?"

No matter who it was they all felt the sa. They continued to watch for a long ti and it was soon night. but what was strange that the light hadn't disappeared at all!

"It's still there?"

"You think enlightennt takes a short ti?"

"Wonder how long it will last."

"Another hour?"

"Days?"

"Perhaps."

But what they didn't know that this wasn't going to be short.

It lasted for an entire month, shocking everyone in the region. The news of a heavenly phenonon spread not just in the Lotus Prefecutre and the regions around it, but the entire Silent Lotus World!

But all things ca to an end, and so did this.

BOOM!

A pulse erupted from Lin Mu's body—not one of force, but of understanding. It washed over the temple like a cleansing wave. Where it passed, moss blood fresher, lanterns flickered with a sacred glow, and ancient runes carved into the temple's very stones glimred faintly, as if stirred from slumber.

Then ca the second change.

The golden radiance around Lin Mu deepened into a pure, ethereal white—soft, yet blinding in its holiness. The elders who had awakened so ti ago earlier than others were now weeping silently, not from sorrow but from joy.

"This… this is the Dharma Body's glow…" one whispered in disbelief.

"Impossible," another said, trembling. "That requires mastery of form and spirit… and even then, only Bodhisattvas of the Pure Lands…"

But there was no denying it.

Lin Mu's body was dissolving—not physically, but in essence. His presence no longer felt like a man's, but like the Dao itself—quiet, immovable, and infinite.

The statues of the Thousand-Ard Avalokiteśvara, of the Eternal Fla Buddha, and of the Laughing ndicant;

The Void Lotus Buddha, the Buddha of Emptiness;

Thousand-Ard Vajra Bodhisattva;

Moonlight Avalokiteśvara, the Guanyin of the Silver Petal;

Dragon Sutra Buddha, the Dragon-Eyed Arhat;

Skull Crown Bodhisattva, the Buddha of Samsara;

Verdant Bodhisattva of Ten Thousand Leaves;

And Dharma-Eyed Child Buddha the one without cultivation—all bowed slightly, their forms creaking ever so faintly, moved by an unseen reverence.

The chants returned, louder now, but harmonious, forming an orchestral mantra that wrapped around every being in the temple. Unlike before, this ti the monks understood it. Their minds were no longer clouded; their hearts no longer bound.

And in this sacred music was truth.

"The heart unmoved bears witness to all. The heart that sees all clings to none. Thus is born compassion without attachnt, and wisdom without pride."

Those words etched themselves into the minds of every monk, as though branded into their souls.

Suddenly, Lin Mu's body gave off a final pulse—and then everything fell silent.

The aura vanished. The light receded. The chants quieted.

The wind blew once more.

The temple grounds, shaken and stirred, returned to their stillness. But it was not the sa silence as before.

It was deeper.

More profound.

Not a silence of emptiness, but a silence full of sothing. Sothing vast.

Lin Mu slowly opened his eyes.

A single breath escaped his lips.

"Haaaah..."

The air around him shimred.

The Abbot stirred awake, eyes glistening. Across the chamber, monks roused one by one, as if awakening from a collective dream. But none spoke. They simply looked to Lin Mu, not with curiosity, but reverence.

And then the Abbot stepped forward, his aged form moving with unusual lightness. He bowed low before Lin Mu—lower than any had ever seen him bow.

"Daoist Lin Mu," he said, voice low yet full of thunderous respect, "from this day onward, you are no longer just a cultivator walking the Buddhist path…"

He paused, as though weighing the very fabric of fate.

"You are the bearer of the Calming Heart Sutra. Its incarnation in this age."

Lin Mu blinked, confused.

"I… what?" he asked, voice dry from ditation.

"You do not need to understand it now," the Abbot said gently. "The Dao will guide you, as it always has."

Behind him, the elders stepped forward and bowed in unison. Even Monk Hushu lowered his head.

The youngest monks, unsure of what had happened, followed their seniors, so tears still clinging to their cheeks.

It wasn't rely respect that filled the hall.

It was faith.

And sowhere, in the distant lands beyond the mountains, a monk ditating in isolation opened his eyes wide, his own heart ringing with the echoes of the chant.

A wandering hermit paused mid-prayer, staring skyward.

A child in a ruined shrine far to the east dread of a white lotus blooming from blood-soaked soil.

The ascension of the Calming Heart Sutra had begun to ripple through the world.

And Lin Mu, still blinking away the haze, had no idea how many hearts he had just touched… or how many enemies had just felt a tremor in their Dao.
