Lin Mu's days went by quietly until one fine day, Monk Hushu appraoched him.
"Daosit Lin Mu, I have a ssage from the Elders." Monk Hushu spoke.
"Oh?" Lin Mu raised his brows, feeling a bit surprised. "What is it?" he asked.
"The abbot will be returning soon, and I've been told to inform you of it. We'll be called to the Great Peak upon his return and he has sothing special for you." Monk Hushu stated.
"what is it?" Lin Mu wondered.
"I don't know either." Monk Hushu admitted. "You'll just have to wait and see." He stated.
"I see..." Lin Mu nodded,
And sure enough, just three days after one of Lin Mu's sparring sessions ended, the tranquil air of the Green Lotus Temple shifted.
A strange yet familiar spiritual resonance rippled across the Silent Lotus World, like the sound of a bell striking in the depths of the soul. All cultivation halted as monks, beasts, and even birds in the distant mountains turned their heads toward the temple's central courtyard.
Lin Mu's gaze turned towards the Great Peak as he felt the spatial fluctuations hidden among the energy waves.
The Abbot had returned.
"Looks like it is ti." Lin Mu muttered as he rushed to the Great Peak along with his companions.
A burst of golden light blood high in the sky before slowly descending, revealing the weathered but radiant figure of Abbot, Tianzhu. Clad in his traditional buddhist robes that now seed even more ethereal than before, he stepped onto the flagstones with the poise of one who had walked beyond the limits of the mortal realm.
In his hands was a long object wrapped in a sacred golden cloth, glinting faintly with ethereal light beneath the folds.
The temple bells rang without being touched.
The senior monks quickly assembled, kneeling at the edges of the temple, while Lin Mu walked calmly toward the Abbot. ng Bai stood behind him, blinking in awe, while the beasts ford a semi-circle nearby.
The Abbot's eyes t Lin Mu's, his serene smile stretching gently beneath a layer of divine fatigue.
"You have done well in my absence," Abbot Tianzhu said, voice calm but filled with emotion. "The Green Lotus Temple has flourished. And it is ti to pass on sothing that rightfully belongs in the hands of one who embodies the teachings we uphold."
With great reverence, the Abbot unwrapped the object.
It was a White Jade Ruyi Scepter, carved from a single flawless piece of ancient jade that shimred with a gentle inner light. Its curves were elegant, the head of the scepter shaped like a cloud and engraved with sacred Buddhist mantras in microscopic detail. An ethereal lotus blood at its center, radiating warmth and peace with each petal.
The scepter hovered slightly in the air, as if unwilling to be held by just anyone.
"This is the Ruyi of Silent Enlightennt," the Abbot said, his voice echoing faintly through the courtyard. "A divine treasure born from the depths of the Hidden Realm. It has been in the possession of the Green Loutus Temple for a long ti, but has been ownerless for thousands of years now. It cannot be wielded by force, nor claid by lineage. Only one with a pure heart and unwavering Buddhist disposition can commune with it."
Whispers of awe spread among the monks. Several elders gasped quietly, recognizing the scepter from long-lost scrolls and myth.
The Abbot gestured gently for Lin Mu to step forward.
'So this is what they ant by a gift...' he understood.
Lin Mu looked at the floating scepter, the gentle light of its lotus reflection flickering in his eyes. Without hesitation, he extended his hand toward it.
There was no resistance.
No tremble.
The mont his fingers touched the jade, the scepter emitted a soft chi, like a temple bell struck during morning ditation. The scepter glowed with radiant light and settled perfectly into Lin Mu's hand, as if it had been waiting for him across countless aeons.
A wave of serene energy washed over the courtyard.
The lotus at the scepter's head slowly opened, revealing a golden core that pulsed with spiritual resonance. Everyone present—monk, beast, or cultivator—felt their thoughts cleared, their minds stilled, and their hearts cald.
Even the restless twin beasts sat in quiet stillness.
Abbot Tianzhu bowed his head slightly.
"It accepts you."
He stepped back, hands folded into a mudra.
"From this mont on, you are the bearer of the Ruyi of Silent Enlightennt. With it, you carry the legacy of thousands of years of Buddhist cultivation. You are no longer simply a guest of this temple, nor rely soone walking on the Buddhist Path. You are its embodint."
The monks prostrated in unison.
Lin Mu stood in silence, the scepter resting gently in his grip. The weight was not physical—but spiritual. It was not a weapon of battle, but of profound stillness, of divine will, and sacred duty.
He looked down at it and felt no burden—only a strange sense of belonging, as if so missing part of him had returned.
The Abbot smiled again. "It will guide you in tis of need."
"What does it do, abbot?" Lin Mu couldn't help but ask.
"The Scepter is not a weapon, but it is a tool." The Abbot replied. "It allows you to command mbers of the Buddhist Path as if you were an Abbot yourself." He revealed.
Hearing that, Lin Mu's eyes went wide.
"I... Should I have sothing like this?" He was doubtful.
The power that ca with it was great, but so was the responsibility.
"The very fact that you can hold it, shows that it has deed you worthy of it." The Abbot confird. "Keep it with you, I know you are the right person for it. And if you ever feel threatened and outnumbered, rember the brothers and sisters of the Buddhist Path are always by your side." He stated.
"I shall rember that, Abbot." Lin Mu brought his hands together in a praying gesture.
