"I'll assign one of our senior inner sect disciples to later assist you and show you around. Perhaps they might have heard of sothing unusual from recent missions," Dugu Ciu offered.

"Very well. We'll look into it," Lin Mu agreed.

"For now I have a little work and unfortunately cannot entertain you. I'll assign you so quarters so you can rest for now. I'll also make arrangents about the lecture if you are still up for it." The man replied.

"Of course." Lin Mu affird.

"Great, I'll get that sort out." the man said before taking his leave.

ng Bai, though quietly sipping tea, looked more serious now. The peaceful sect atmosphere had given way to the realization that sothing sinister was lurking not too far away.

The following day dawned crisp and clear, with the rising sun casting a warm glow across the plains of the Hawk Eye Sword Sect. Disciples bustled about with renewed energy, word having spread quickly that a mysterious expert was going to give a lecture and demonstrate sword arts in the main training arena.

By mid-morning, nearly all the outer and inner sect disciples had gathered, murmuring with excitent. Even several of the core disciples had taken ti from their secluded cultivation to attend. After all, it was not every day that a guest of an elder offered to share his insights into the Dao of the sword.

The training arena was a circular platform carved from solid stone, located just behind the inner sect courtyard. Intricate sword engravings circled the arena, forming an elegant array that enhanced comprehension and cald the mind. Tiered seating surrounded the area, forming a natural amphitheater where hundreds of disciples now sat.

At the center stood Lin Mu, dressed simply, his long hair tied back. Beside him sat ng Bai and Elder Dugu Ciu, the latter having announced the event personally. A few elders watched from a distance, curious to see what kind of expert their peer had invited.

Lin Mu's gaze swept across the crowd before he finally stepped forward, his voice calm yet carrying to every ear.

"I am Lin Mu. I do not belong to any sect, but I have walked the path of cultivation through hardship and war, through failure and perseverance. Today, I'll share with you a few truths I've discovered—not to boast, but to perhaps help you take a step further on your own journeys."

The arena fell utterly silent, all attention focused on him.

Lin Mu unsheathed one of his two swords, Afternoon Pine slowly. The blade humd softly, resonating with the ambient energy. He held it loosely in his right hand, letting its presence settle before speaking again.

"Swordsmanship is not rely about technique. It is not about the weapon in your hand, but the intent in your heart. A blade, at its core, is a reflection of your will."

Lin Mu had already thought of what he would do today and it was not to show one of his sword skills but just his comprehension of the Sword Path. It was a more general lecture that could be beneficial to everyone rather than staying confined to a niche.

He began to walk across the platform as he spoke, each step graceful and asured.

"You have learned forms, you have drilled stances, and you have cultivated Qi. That is good. But if you do not understand why you swing the sword, you will never achieve true mastery."

He raised his sword slightly, and the air around the blade distorted, as if space itself acknowledged the presence of his intent.

"Let show you three truths."

With a light movent, Lin Mu entered into the first stance. It was slow, almost lazy, but each motion carried imnse weight. His blade moved horizontally through the air, cutting without resistance. A mont later, a loud crack split the arena.

A line had been carved cleanly into the stone floor—a perfect cut that was neither fast nor flashy but undeniable in its sharpness.

"Truth one: The simplest path is the sharpest. Complexity invites hesitation. Simplicity reveals the essence."

The disciples gawked, many blinking as they realized they had not even seen the sword fully move.

Lin Mu transitioned smoothly into the second form, and this ti, his figure flickered. In a blink, he vanished from one side of the platform and appeared at the other. Ten falling plum blossoms from the nearby trees were suddenly sliced mid-air, the petals drifting apart without a sound.

"Truth two: The sword is not bound to the body—it moves with the mind. Speed is not the goal. Presence is."

Gasps filled the air. Even the elders shifted in their seats. Sword movent at that level required a frightening mastery of Sword intent and precision.

"And now," Lin Mu said, slowly lowering the blade. "The final truth."

He sheathed the sword. Then, standing tall, he simply raised a finger. Internally the Severing Heart Sutra stirred, amplifying Lin Mu's power.

All at once, the energy of the arena changed.

A pressure descended—not heavy, not forceful—but absolute. The entire platform trembled as invisible sword intent radiated from Lin Mu's body like a tidal wave.

Disciples clutched at their seats, so with wide eyes, others breaking into cold sweat. Even ng Bai, though used to Lin Mu's aura, felt his heart skip a beat.

"There is a sword that needs no steel," Lin Mu said softly. "A sword born from resolve. When your heart becos your blade, no enemy can withstand it."

The pressure vanished in the next breath. Silence reigned in the arena, broken only by the sound of a few leaves falling.

Lin Mu stepped back and gave a small nod.

"This is all I will show. The rest is for you to explore. The path of the sword is endless, but each step forward requires understanding, not just power."

He turned to Elder Dugu Ciu, who stood and clapped slowly.

"A marvelous demonstration. Thank you, Daoist Lin." Elder Dugu Ciu was thoroughly pleased.
