The Immortal Guards ignored him and turned to Lin Mu. Their eyes scanned his shackles, the cracked stones, and the several empty vials rolling near his feet.

One of them bent down, picked up a vial, uncorked it, and sniffed the contents.

His eyes sharpened. "Poison. High level Wood elental poison. And more than one type."

Another guard spoke, voice booming through the jail. "You attempted to poison a prisoner under Western Immortal Court custody."

The captains froze. "No. No, he drank them himself. He tried to kill himself. That man is insane."

The criminals erupted in anger.

"That is a lie!"

"He drank them because they forced him!"

"They attacked him first!"

The guards dismissed them. "You are criminals, your words hold no weight."

Lin Mu finally spoke. His tone was calm, but it cut through the noise like a blade.

"I have evidence."

The captains turned sharply. "What evidence?"

Lin Mu reached into his sleeve and drew out a jade slip. The shackles glowed faintly with restraining light, but he simply channeled his immortal sense through them as if they were nothing more than loose strings.

The captains stared, stunned. "How are you using Qi? Those shackles restrain even Fifth Tribulation cultivators."

Lin Mu did not answer. He pressed the jade slip, and the air shimred.

Light composed of runes burst into the air. A projection appeared, replaying scenes recorded through Lin Mu's immortal sense.

The jail corridor lit up with the full recording.

The arrival of the captains.

The dismissal of guards.

The opening of the cell.

The attack on Lin Mu.

The beatings.

The poison vials being forced into his hands.

The words exchanged.

Every insult. Every threat.

Word for word. Action for action.

The prisoners gasped again. The White Tiger Immortal Guard fell silent. The major stared, his fist tightening.

One of the Immortal Guards turned to the captains.

"You dared commit such acts in an official outpost. You dared to poison a cultivator without trial. You dared falsify charges. You dared corrupt court authority."

The young masters began to shake uncontrollably. The captains trembled too. The lead Immortal Guard spoke loudly enough for even the hallway outside to hear.

"By the order of the Western Immortal Court, the captains Yong Daoxun and Qing Hengshi, along with their sons, are hereby placed under arrest. A full court martial will be initiated imdiately."

"No. No, wait!" one captain shouted.

"This is a misunderstanding!" cried the other.

The Immortal Guards ignored them and brought out restraints that glowed with a fierce white light. These were not simple shackles. They were official Immortal Court suppressors.

Just as they were about to bind them, the air rippled.

Soft footsteps echoed from the entrance.

An old man walked in calmly, his long white robes embroidered with the crest of the Western Immortal Court. His robes bore nine golden stripes, marking him as an Elder of exceedingly high rank.

Every prisoner gasped in fear.

Every guard fell silent.

Even the White Tiger Immortal Guards turned to him and bowed respectfully.

The captains froze like corpses.

The elder surveyed the scene with calm eyes.

And the whole room held its breath.

Elder Dong Bo stood in the illuminated corridor like an immovable pillar. His age was evident in his white hair and the faint wrinkles on his forehead, but the immortal power coursing through his body made him feel like an ancient mountain that would never crumble.

His eyes swept the scene once. Lin Mu locked behind a cracked cell door, the captains frozen in shock, their sons trembling and the White Tiger Immortal Guards watching silently.

Elder Dong Bo exhaled slowly and then spoke.

His voice was calm, yet the suppressed anger beneath it shook every stone in

the corridor. "Does anyone wish to tell why the High Command of the Western Immortal Court contacted personally regarding wrongful imprisonnt of a guest of the Immortal Court?"

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Every prisoner, guard, captain, and even the White Tiger Immortal Guards stiffened. The weight behind those words was suffocating.

Wrongful imprisonnt.Guest of the Immortal Court.High Command.

Those were not words used lightly.

Lin Mu's eyebrows rose slightly. Even he had not expected it to escalate this

quickly.

The captains' faces turned pale like chalk. They looked at each other, hoping the other would speak.

Finally, Captain Yong Daoxun swallowed hard and said, voice trembling, "Elder

Dong Bo, forgive us, but who is even a guest of the Immortal Court? We were

only dealing with an unruly rogue cultivator."

They tried to speak with respect, but their voices cracked from fear.

Several prisoners shook their heads.

"These fools do not know who they are talking to," one whispered.

"That is Elder Dong Bo. The highest ranked authority in the entire outpost,"

another muttered.

Indeed, Elder Dong Bo was the Head Elder of Outpost Thirteen. His status hovered just below the regional governor. He had not stepped foot into the jail personally in nearly eight thousand years.

And now he had co personally.

The elder's eyes flared with fury. "You dare speak so casually? You two worthless captains and your brainless sons have committed a cri punishable

by erasure."

The captains staggered back. Their sons whimpered.

Elder Dong Bo pointed straight at Lin Mu. "This man is not rely a guest. He is

the Great Uncle Master of High Elder Liu Bei, one of the most respected Spatial Masters of the Western Immortal Court. His na alone commands respect throughout all outposts and branches."

A thunderous silence fell upon the corridor.

Then the young masters stupidly pointed at Lin Mu, their voices barely a whisper. "H-him? That young man? He is a respected guest? What even..." Elder Dong Bo's roar shook the ground. "Not just a guest. High Elder Liu Bei himself sent a prioritized ssage to High Command demanding the release and protection of his Grand Uncle Master. That ssage alone would be enough to make every officer in this outpost kneel."
