"Protect the Princess!" the soldiers roared.
They rushed forward desperately, but it was already too late.
A massive arc of blinding white light swept across the battlefield.
BOOM
The Flash Cleave Axe tore through the formation like paper. Armor shattered instantly, bodies were hurled away, and several unfortunate cultivators lost limbs as they were thrown aside by the overwhelming force.
"With , brothers!" the Golden Urn Sect core disciple shouted, his face contorted with anger.
He activated his skill, summoning five massive golden urns that hovered around him. Only one was a real immortal tool, while the others were projections ford from his cultivation technique.
The other Golden Urn Sect disciples followed suit, combining their power.
Fifteen golden urns now floated in the air, surrounding the twins in a tightening formation as a terrifying suction force erupted from all directions.
SHUA SHUA SHUA
The urns began draining Qi relentlessly, trying to exhaust the twins by force. "Keep it up!" another disciple shouted. "We'll tire them out!"
HISSS
Xiao Yin flicked her tongue sharply as she brought the Demon Punishing Spine Lash under control. The whip cracked through the air with a deafening sound. WANG
CRACK
Its three spiked segnts slamd into the urns with overwhelming force. SHATTER SHATTER SHATTER
Three of the golden urns exploded instantly into fragnts of light. SHING
Xiao Yang followed up, swinging the Flash Cleave Axe in a brutal arc that cleaved through five more urns in a single strike.
In re seconds, only the real golden urns remained.
"Damn it," one of the disciples cursed. "Their weapons are too strong!" WOOONG
"We will assist," the Boundless River Sect female disciples said in unison.
They raised their hands, controlling the rivers and lakes nearby. Massive water whips surged forth, wrapping around the battlefield. One lashed toward the Flash Cleave Axe, another entangled the Demon Punishing Spine Lash, while two more aid directly for the twins' bodies.
"Twelve Rivers Entanglent Art!" they shouted together.
More disciples joined in, layering water techniques to suppress the twins completely.
Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang struggled against the bindings. They could break free, but doing so would take ti, and ti was exactly what they were running out
of.
There were simply too many enemies.
Seeing that the twins were restrained, one of the princesses imdiately realized that this was her opportunity.
A sharp smile spread across her face, her eyes glittering with excitent and cruelty as she stepped forward.
"HAHA! NICE!" the princess of the Great Steppe Kingdom laughed loudly as she drew an arrow from her quiver and nocked it onto her bow. "I will deal the final blow myself!"
TWANG
The bowstring thrumd violently as the serrated arrow was released.
The arrow scread through the air, wrapped in sharp Qi, its tip gleaming with deadly intent. It was aid straight at Xiao Yang's exposed side.
Xiao Yin reacted instantly.
She twisted her body and slamd into her brother with all her strength, pushing him out of the arrow's path.
"SISTER!" Xiao Yang hissed, fury erupting within his eyes.
The arrow tore through the space where Xiao Yang had been a mont ago and continued onward, now aid directly at Xiao Yin.
Even if the arrow was not strong enough to kill her outright, it would certainly injure her. At the very least, it would delay her movents long enough for another barrage of attacks to land.
"I should have just killed them all from the start!" Xiao Yang snarled, his voice filled with regret and murderous intent.
From the beginning, the twins had been holding back.
They had avoided lethal strikes, avoided crushing vital ridians, and avoided killing unless absolutely necessary. They knew their master did not want unnecessary bloodshed, especially not in a place tied so closely to their future travel.
But now, that restraint had turned into their greatest mistake.
WHOOSH
Just as the arrow closed the final half ter, a figure appeared out of thin air.
A palm extended calmly, fingers slightly curled.
CLANG!
The sound rang out like tal striking stone.
The arrow that could easily pierce the defenses of a Third Tribulation Stage immortal rebounded violently and shattered into fragnts midair.
"HUH!?"
The Great Steppe Kingdom princess stared in disbelief.
Everyone froze.
No one had sensed anyone approaching. No one had felt spatial fluctuations. No one had detected any aura. And yet, a man had appeared between life and
death as if he had always been there.
He did not wear the armor of any kingdom, nor the robes of any sect.
His appearance was refined and handso, enough that even the princess and several female disciples instinctively compared him to their intended partners. And in their minds, he surpassed them easily.
But the expression on his face erased all such thoughts.
His eyes burned with a fury so intense that it felt as if it might spill out and
engulf the entire forest.
"You..."
Lin Mu slowly lifted his gaze and swept it across the assembled cultivators. His voice was calm, but the chill behind it was enough to make hearts tremble.
SHUA
His immortal sense exploded outward.
It washed over the forest like a freezing tide, pressing down on everyone
present. It felt as though they had been plunged into an icy abyss, their
breathing tightening, their thoughts slowing.
"Over five hundred, Lin Mu said calmly.
He then turned toward the twins and gently severed the restraints binding
them.
"Are you two all right?"
The water whips shattered beneath his hands as if they were made of straw, dissolving instantly back into harmless droplets.
"How is that possible?" the Boundless River Sect disciples exclaid in
disbelief.
"Who is this man?" the Golden Urn Sect disciples whispered among themselves.
None of them recognized him, yet he had effortlessly dismantled combined techniques that required coordination from multiple core disciples.
His black robes fluttered slightly, and the massive sword sheath on his back radiated a silent pressure. It was an aura that blended dignity, danger, and absolute confidence.
