Now reading: Chapter 3558 Need For A Space Ship from Walker Of The Worlds, a Action novel by Grandvoiddaoist.

A proper spacefaring vessel was designed exactly for situations like the one Lin Mu was facing.

Such ships possessed enormous reserves of immortal Qi stored within their cores. They could be powered by immortal stones, atmospheric energy when available, or even the controller's cultivation base.

More importantly, they were equipped with complex defensive arrays.

Those arrays could stabilize spatial fluctuations, repel incoming debris, and shield against stray bursts of cosmic energy.

In space, those protections were not luxuries.

They were necessities.

There was also another advantage.

Montum.

A spacecraft could build and maintain montum far more efficiently than an individual cultivator. Once moving, it required far less energy to continue traveling across the vast expanse of space.

All of these advantages made the decision obvious.

Lin Mu turned toward Huli Zu.

"Lord Huli," he said calmly.

"If we wished to acquire such a vessel, where might we obtain one?"

Huli Zu's ears twitched slightly.

Then he let out a quiet laugh.

"That is... a difficult request."

Lin Mu raised an eyebrow.

"Difficult?"

Huli Zu gave a wry smile.

"Flying vessels are already expensive under normal circumstances."

He leaned back in his chair slightly.

"But vessels capable of traveling safely through open space are far more complex."

He spread his hands.

"In our entire world, there is only one place that might have such a ship available."

Everyone in the room beca attentive.

"And that would be?" Lin Mu asked.

Huli Zu answered simply.

"The Mother Forest."

Lin Mu's eyes narrowed slightly. He had heard the na earlier from Miyeon. But he did not yet fully understand what it represented.

"What exactly is the Mother Forest?" Lin Mu asked.

Huli Zu seed pleased to explain.

"Our world has many races," he began.

"Beastkin of various kinds, as well as human civilizations."

"But historically, the foxkin were the first to arrive on this world."

He tapped his chest lightly.

"Our ancestors settled the central lands long before other races migrated here."

"Because of that, the foxkin clans eventually beca the dominant ruling power."

He glanced briefly toward Miyeon before continuing.

"Humans still live here, of course. They maintain kingdoms and cities across the continents."

"But compared to the beastkin, their overall strength is... sowhat limited."

Lin Mu listened quietly as Huli Zu continued his explanation.

"The Fox Scion World is divided into several regions, but geographically it is dominated by three primary continents."

He raised one finger.

"The first is the Central Ho Continent."

"That is where we are right now."

"It is the birthplace of the foxkin civilization and the location of the Mother

Forest."

Lin Mu nodded slightly.

Huli Zu raised a second finger.

"The second is the Eastern Prism Sky Continent."

"Foxkin rule there as well, but the situation is slightly different."

"How so?" Daoist Chu asked.

Huli Zu smiled faintly.

"That continent is governed by a single foxkin tribe."

"The Frost Foxes."

ng Bai blinked.

"A single tribe rules an entire continent?"

Huli Zu nodded.

"Yes,"

"The Prism Sky Continent is much smaller than the Central Ho Continent."

He held his fingers apart to indicate the difference.

"Barely one tenth the size."

"So it is easier for a single tribe to maintain authority there."

Then Huli Zu raised a third finger.

"The final continent is the Western Beast Lands."

His tone beca more serious.

"Unlike the other two continents, this region has almost no organized

settlents."

"Neither human nor beastkin kingdoms exist there."

ng Bai frowned.

"Then who lives there?"

Huli Zu answered simply.

"Beasts"

His eyes hardened slightly.

"The Western Beast Lands are ruled entirely by wild immortal beasts."

"Powerful ones."

Miyeon added softly.

"That continent is considered a protected region. No one is allowed to enter it

without permission from the foxkin council."

Lin Mu leaned back slightly.

"So it is essentially a natural sanctuary for beasts."

"Exactly," Huli Zu said.

He then returned to the original topic.

"The Mother Forest lies at the heart of the Central Ho Continent."

"It is the sacred holand of the foxkin tribes"

"And it is the only place in our world where sothing as rare as a spacefaring

vessel might exist."

Lin Mu's eyes flickered slightly.

It seed their next destination had already been decided.

Lin Mu leaned slightly forward after hearing Huli Zu's explanation about the

Mother Forest.

"If that is where we must go," he said calmly, "how might we reach it?"

Huli Zu scratched the side of his head, his fox ears twitching with mild

uncertainty.

"Well... that part might be a little complicated."

Lin Mu raised a brow.

"Complicated?"

Huli Zu nodded.

"The Mother Forest is not just another territory or city. It is the sacred

holand of the foxkin tribes."

His tone grew a little more serious.

"Because of that, entry is restricted."

He spread his hands slightly.

"Normally, only foxkin are allowed to enter freely"

Cattaleya leaned back in her chair with a faint frown. "And outsiders?"

"Only under very specific circumstances, Huli Zu replied.

He began counting on his fingers.

"Diplomatic envoys, official representatives, or particularly important guests."

He hesitated slightly before adding.

"And sotis special visitors invited by the ruling clans."

Daoist Chu imdiately caught onto one particular phrase.

"Special visitors, you say?"

Huli Zu nodded.

Daoist Chu stroked his beard thoughtfully.

"If soone were affiliated with the Immortal Court," he said carefully, "would

that count?"

Huli Zu blinked.

"The Immortal Court?"

"Yes,"

Daoist Chu gestured calmly toward himself.

"I am currently a trainee under the Western Immortal Court."

Huli Zu looked uncertain.

"Well... that is..." he began awkwardly.

His ears drooped slightly.

"To be honest, that might be above my authority to decide."

Before the conversation could stall, Miyeon spoke. Her voice was calm and

asured.

"There is a way."

Everyone looked toward her.

"If you truly co from the Western Immortal Court," she said, glancing toward

Lin Mu and Daoist Chu, "then you could visit the Immortal Court branch

located within our world."

She folded her sleeves neatly.

"If they issue an official missive recognizing your status, it would likely grant

you permission to enter the Mother Forest."
