HUALA
A low humming vibration spread through the hall as countless runes carved into the stone pillars and walls began to glow with soft golden light. Spiritual energy flowed like rivers beneath the floor as the treasury seals unlocked one after another.
Monts later, the first wave of materials appeared.
A ripple passed through space above the temple floor as storage arrays began releasing their contents. One after another, elental treasures erged from small spatial distortions and gently descended into the hall.
First ca glowing crystals the size of fists, each radiating dense elental energy. Then ca chunks of strange tals whose surfaces shimred with lightning or pulsed with heat.
Rare herbs appeared next, their leaves emitting faint mists of immortal Qi. Fruits, liquids sealed within jade bottles, small pill containers, jars of glowing powders, and even several translucent gemstones filled with swirling wind essence joined the growing collection.
Within a few minutes, the treasures had ford a small hill on the temple floor. The pile continued growing as more materials arrived through the treasury array. By the ti the summoning process finally ended, the heap of elental materials occupied nearly a tenth of the entire temple hall.
The different energies emanating from the collection ford a complex mixture of elental Qi that made the air feel thick and vibrant. Anyone with even moderate cultivation could sense how valuable these items were.
Lin Mu stared at the pile in stunned silence.
He had not expected this at all.
Even when the two Guardian Spirits had insisted on giving him gifts, he had imagined perhaps a few treasures or so rare cultivation materials. What lay before him now was sothing entirely different.
The sheer quantity of resources was staggering. Many of the items were clearly of high quality, so even radiating the aura of treasures that mid-tier sects would consider priceless. Yet here they had been casually summoned and stacked like ordinary stones.
The temple head stood quietly to the side, still trying to process what he had just done. The total value of the materials in front of them was beyond what most organizations could even imagine possessing.
Several vaults belonging to mid-tier sects could be filled with wealth equivalent to this single pile. In fact, even so high-tier sects might struggle to gather such a quantity of rare elental materials without centuries if not millennia of accumulation.
And yet the Guardian Spirits had ordered him to bring all of it simply as a greeting gift.
Lin Mu finally broke the silence. He shook his head slightly and said in a calm but firm tone, "This is far more than I need."
His gaze swept across the mountain of treasures before continuing. "Most of these will not be useful for . I only require a few materials that can assist my cultivation."
The two Guardian Spirits did not imdiately respond, but after a brief pause they nodded in agreent.
The Vermilion Bird spoke gently, her voice echoing through the hall. "If you wish to select only what is useful, then we will not object. The purpose of this offering is simply to show goodwill."
Lin Mu stepped forward and extended his spiritual sense over the pile. The dense mixture of elental energies made the examination process slightly complicated, but his experience with various elental resources quickly allowed him to identify several items that could benefit his remaining
cores.
He carefully moved through the collection, selecting materials that contained particularly pure Fire, Earth, Lightning, Wind, Wood, and tal elental Qi. So of them were objects he recognized from previous encounters, but many others were completely unfamiliar.
Strange crystals that pulsed with rich energy, tallic ores whose surfaces crackled faintly with thunder, delicate herbs that released tiny sparks of wind essence when touched, and sealed bottles containing liquids whose elental aura was so concentrated that even the containers vibrated faintly.
One by one, he separated the useful items from the rest.
When he finished, a smaller collection of treasures had ford beside him. The number of items he selected totaled nearly sixty, a combination of crystals, tals, fruits, herbs, elixirs, and several rare elental pills that radiated
extrely dense Qi.
Compared to the enormous pile that still remained on the floor, the chosen materials looked almost modest.
Lin Mu examined the selected items once more before nodding in satisfaction. "These will be enough," he said. "The rest would only be wasted on ."
Temple Head Puyi could not help staring at the remaining hill of treasures in disbelief. The materials left behind were still worth fortunes that countless cultivators would spend lifetis pursuing. Yet Lin Mu had calmly rejected them without hesitation.
After storing the chosen items within his spatial storage, Lin Mu turned back toward the two Guardian Spirits.
He cupped his fists respectfully and spoke again. "According to tradition, when juniors receive gifts from their seniors, they should also present a small token of respect in return. My offering may not be particularly valuable, but I hope the honored guardians will accept it without offense."
Before the spirits could respond, Lin Mu quietly activated the Nurturing Heart Sutra of the Beast Path within his mind.
His Qi circulation shifted subtly as he guided the special energy cultivated through the chant toward his hands. A mont later, two luminous spheres of pure Beast Qi condensed in front of him.
The effect was imdiate.
The Azure Dragon and Vermilion Bird both froze at the sa ti.
Their voices rang out in perfect unison.
"How did you obtain that?"
The two glowing spheres floated calmly in the air between them, each one containing an astonishing concentration of pure Beast Qi. The energy within them was extrely refined and stable, far more potent than what ordinary beasts could generate naturally.
For beings like the Guardian Spirits, the value of such energy was obvious at a
glance.
Normally humans could not even handle Beast Qi properly. Their bodies were
not suited to it, and the foreign energy often caused severe rejection. Even many beasts could not accumulate pure Beast Qi in such quantities unless they possessed extrely strong bloodlines or had devoured powerful creatures.
